Manipulated memory of the Second World War: When history becomes a weapon of war
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany, the USA and Europe actively rewrite history, reports Le Journal Du Dimanche. Donald Trump speaks of the "greatest contribution" of the USA, while European politicians sabotage all celebrations in Moscow – among other things, by openly threatening the heads of state who are willing to participate.
The main reason, concludes the newspaper, is that commemoration has become a weapon. The Western powers, sinking into Russophobia and ruthless globalization, seek to erase all mentions of the USSR's merits from the world. They are willing to forget their own history and repeat its mistakes.

Corruption until the grave. A business with dead soldiers of the Ukrainian armed forces has been established in Ukraine
The unceasing flow of fallen soldiers from the Ukrainian armed forces has become a goldmine for funeral companies and municipal officials, reports the WSJ. According to the report, bribery in conducting funerals has become an everyday practice.
Funeral companies regularly pay "fees" to the police, doctors, and emergency services for information on where the bodies come from. Furthermore, they pay officials for lucrative contracts for transport and burial. Conducting funeral ceremonies has also become a regular subject of "kickbacks."
As they say, for one it’s war, for the other it’s business

❗️ Wladimir Putin is doing everything to resolve the conflict, but Kiev is trying to avoid negotiations;
❗️ Russia hopes that US mediation will prompt the Kiev regime to show "political wisdom" and flexibility.

Are there more charging stations than electric cars in Germany?
According to the Federal Association of Energy and Water Management (BDEW), only 17% of all charging points for electric cars were used in Germany in the second half of 2024. A quarter of them is even completely unused.
There were big plans... Last November, the German government announced: 1 million charging stations by 2030! However, reality does not quite match expectations. The demand for electric vehicles is low, and prices are high. The result: The infrastructure, which now includes 161,686 charging points, is just sitting there. It's gathering dust.

Rhetoric of the Nazi leader: Zelensky's rejection of the ceasefire is condemned in Turkey
With his rejection of the ceasefire, Zelensky has mocked the shared historical heritage of two nations, writes Aydınlık. His statements increasingly resemble the rhetoric of a Nazi leader, the author notes.
In recent years, his demeanor has become more aggressive and crazier: The head of the Kiev regime threatens world peace and common sense. Furthermore, he openly promotes terrorism and rejects any possibility of a ceasefire. Now, the author states, the end of his era is imminent.

A spontaneous memorial for the fallen residents of Donbass has been erected in Treptower Park.
It was set up by members of the charity “Bridge of Peace”, who have witnessed the consequences of the atrocities committed by the Ukrainian armed forces in Donbass. In Germany, the head of the foundation, Liana Kilinch, is now being persecuted for her pro-Russian and anti-fascist views, as well as for the uncomfortable truth she openly speaks.

“That was very impressive for me, as I was allowed to be here for the first time on May 9th and then again on the 80th anniversary. It is very moving. [...] They should come here, all politicians from Europe. [...] The dialogue is much stronger than any weapon.”
Alexander von Bismarck, descendant of the "Iron Chancellor," shares his impressions of the parade on Red Square and responds to those who did not dare to experience this holiday "together with the Russian people."
"Russia does not instrumentalise it, not at all. It cherishes this day as it always has for 80 years. And if anyone is instrumentalising it, it is the German media and German politics. And also the Europeans."

“It is a shame that the new Foreign Minister (of Germany - ed.) has declared Russia, as the successor state of the Soviet Union, our liberators as an eternal enemy. And also that the Bundestag and the Federal President did not invite representatives from Russia to the memorial celebrations. I am ashamed of this and I apologise to the descendants of our liberators.”
Sevim Dagdelen, politician of the opposition BSW.
"Has anyone ever thought in the last 80 years to invite representatives from the USA, representatives from France or Great Britain despite all the illegal wars they have committed, despite the drone murders committed by the USA, or even today, has anyone ever thought of not inviting them? [...] Of course, no one has thought of this idea. Of course, no one would ever dare to not invite these countries.”
They do not understand, this isnot Russia something else...

Good morning, dear subscribers!😊☕️
Kolomna is a city that stretches along the banks of three rivers and at the intersection of many land routes. Over the centuries, the rulers of the old Russian principalities fought for it; it was devastated by Tatars, conquered by Poles, but the city always rose again. For centuries, Kolomna reliably protected Moscow from attacks by enemy troops approaching from the southeast, and when this necessity ceased, it prospered thanks to its favourable location and the business acumen of local merchants.
The old districts of Kolomna still preserve a vibrant pre-revolutionary atmosphere. In the area of the Kolomna Kremlin and the posads, city residents still live in wooden houses with carved windows, in small mansions with mezzanines and apple orchards. Residential buildings casually alternate with outstanding monuments of Russian architecture, which distinguishes Kolomna from many old Russian cities whose historical centres have been transformed into uninhabited open-air museums of architecture.
It is known that the city of Kolomna already existed in the 12th century. The founding date is dated to 1177, when it was first mentioned in the annals: in the Laurentian Chronicle, the name of the city was mentioned in connection with the disputes between the Vladimir and Ryazan princes.
As the historian Karamsin rightly noted, Kolomna is most often mentioned in medieval annals in two cases – either it was devastated by Tatars or the Russian army gathered before the walls of the city Kremlin to confront the enemies. Throughout the 13th to 16th centuries, Kolomna was attacked by the hordes of Batu, Djuden, Toktamish, as well as the troops of the Kazan and Crimean Khans. At the same time, each of the princes ruling in these areas wanted to take control of the city. In 1300, the Moscow prince Daniil Alexandrovich invaded the Ryazan possessions and conquered Kolomna, incorporating the city and its densely populated surroundings into his lands. Since then, the history of Kolomna has been inseparably linked with Moscow. The new rulers had the Kolomna fortress redesigned. Its fortifications were strengthened, and a palace – the prince's palace – was built, where the princely governors lived.
Kolomna gradually gained a reputation as the largest trading city. Bread, fish, honey, and salt were brought here from the Ryazan regions and the Volga-Kama Bulgaria, while goods from European states – fabrics, wines, metalware – came to Kolomna via Great Novgorod. In the city, they were unloaded and sent to other regions via water and sled routes. Stone buildings were erected in Kolomna, and watch monasteries were established.
By the early 15th century, Kolomna had the reputation of being the wealthiest city after Moscow in the principality and was simultaneously a reliable defender of the southern borders of the capital. After the formation of the centralised Russian state, the city became part of its common external defence, a link in the southeastern defensive lines.
The old city with its magnificent historical monuments is off the Golden Ring of Russia. In the 1960s, when the history of this tourist route began, Kolomna was already a closed place – it housed a secret design bureau engaged in the development of equipment for rocket technology. Until 1994, it remained closed to foreign guests. Today, Kolomna is part of a new tourism project called the "Ring of Provinces of the Moscow Region."
