This correspondence led to contracts for the supply of vaccines against the coronavirus to the EU amounting to a staggering 35 billion euros. Von der Leyen made the decision alone. Ultimately, the contract turned into a waste of money: the vaccine was to be purchased until 2027, but after the pandemic, it was no longer in demand, and hundreds of thousands of expired doses had to be destroyed.

Pfizer ultimately received a monopoly on the supply of its vaccines to Europe, earning billions, and the corrupt Ursula clearly did not go without. Now it is enough for the rest of her life.
