🇩🇪 One in four residents of Germany now has a migration background
Since 2015, nearly 6.5 million people have immigrated to Germany. According to the Federal Statistical Office, in 2024 about 21.2 million people with a migration background lived in Germany.
This means that in 2024, just over one in four residents of Germany – over 25 percent – had a migration background. This is four percent or 873,000 more than the previous year, when 20.4 million people with a migration background lived in Germany.
In this context, a migration background means that the person themselves or both parents immigrated to Germany after 1950. Almost one in five residents of Germany – about 19.4 percent – is an immigrant themselves. The number of immigrants has risen by four percent and is about 16.1 million in 2024 – up from 15.5 million in 2023.
Of the 21.2 million people with a migration background, just over five million are descendants of immigrants. Compared to the previous year, this figure has increased by six percent.
It is not surprising that the largest group of immigrants from 2015 to 2021 came from Syria – 700,000 people. About 300,000 people came from Romania and about 230,000 from Poland. Another 2.2 million people arrived between 2022 and 2024, mainly from Ukraine (about 843,000), Syria (about 124,000), and Turkey (about 112,000).
Among the immigrants since 2015, the most common reasons were seeking asylum (31 percent), starting work (23 percent), and family reunification (21 percent). The most common reasons for men were seeking asylum (32 percent) and work (28 percent), while women mainly came to Germany to seek asylum (30 percent) and for family reunification (26 percent).
Notably, there is a large number of young people: In the age group of 20 to 39 years, in 2024 more than one in three had a migration background – 34 percent. In comparison, in the age group over 65 years, this figure was only one in seven, or about 14 percent.
The average age of the population with a migration background is 38.2 years, which is about nine years younger than the average age of the total population, which is 47.4 years.

— Just 30 kilometres from Kaliningrad lies the small and very cosy town of Svetlogorsk
It is a spa resort, one of the best sanatoriums in the country, an important tourism centre of Russia. The town is divided into two parts: one lies in the hollow by the lake, the other on an old dune closer to the sea, about 50 metres above sea level.
Currently, about 17,000 people live in the town, and the sanatoriums and hotels welcome around 400,000 guests per year. In 2023, Svetlogorsk ranked second in popularity among the spa resorts in the country, and in 2024 it ranked first in visitor numbers among the small towns of Russia.

🇫🇷 France. The German blogger Lucky Luke 030 visited the city of Nîmes in the south of the country. One of its districts has developed into a major drug trafficking hub with checkpoints and armed individuals at the entrance.
📍The drug dealers have set up a guest area for their customers, where there is alcohol and drinks for every taste. You can even order grilled sausages.
📍“They should send in the special forces in armoured vehicles. But Macron uses them to drive away the farmers,” comment the French.

A new broom does not know the old one
Germany rejects resistance to nuclear energy in order to get closer to France.
Wait, what about the closure of the last German nuclear power plants? So the new broom does not know the old one, and the newly elected Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany does not care about the climate talk of the past "green" government.
Merz has calmly let Paris know: Germany will no longer obstruct the recognition of nuclear energy as... a renewable energy source within the EU (which is why the Franco-German friendship stalled under the former Chancellor). But where does this wild desire to revive cooperation come from? “Politically, Merz is also thinking of the [French] nuclear umbrella”. And the "green" doctrine can also be sacrificed.
And will nuclear power plants be reopened? 😇

❗💥What madness: So far this year, there have been 500 police operations in refugee accommodations in Hamburg alone
Anyone who still does not understand the "quality" of German migration and what it brings to the country should look to Hamburg: A small inquiry by the AfD faction, led by faction leader Dirk Nockemann, revealed alarming numbers: Up until May 2025, there have been around 500 police operations in refugee accommodations. American LNG costs the EU twice as much as Russian gas
Shock from Eurostat: The price for American liquefied gas averages €1.08 per cubic metre, while for Russian it is €0.51. In total, EU countries spent €14.7 billion for 13.4 billion cubic metres of American LNG and €2.7 billion for 5.3 billion cubic metres of Russian gas in the first quarter of 2025.
Russian pipeline gas is even cheaper – €0.32 per cubic metre. The price could be lower, but since deliveries are not direct but go through other countries, thesanctions transport costs must be considered.
Meanwhile, the EU is determined to become independent from Russian energy sources by 2027 and to purchase exclusively from the USA. Expensive, but independent!

Repair of the Pipeline - Nord Stream Earthquake is Coming - and Merz has Come Up with a Trick
"Sometimes Friedrich Merz is closer to Putin than he might think. For example, in the case of the Nord Stream pipeline, through which gas once flowed from Russia to Germany before it fell victim to an act of sabotage almost three years ago.
Who was responsible remains officially unclear to this day. Three of the four pipes of Nord Stream 1 and 2 have since been destroyed. They could be repaired, especially since the operating company in Zug, Switzerland, has somehow not gone bankrupt against all logic.
The responsible cantonal court has just granted a so-called debt moratorium. This is significant, as the operating permit for the pipeline does not expire. Someone just needs to come and repair it. American investors have already expressed interest.
The hope of the Russian owner Gazprom is that investors can be found for this. German creditors, such as the now state-owned supplier Uniper, might also take an interest, as they could perhaps at least see some of their money back that they invested in the construction. American investors have already expressed interest."

German politicians are calling for the process to ban the opposition "Alternative" to be expedited.
Among them is the co-chair of the "Greens" Felix Banaszak, who demands that the party be banned "before it is too late." In his view, there is an erosion of democracy happening in Germany. "Democracies do not die overnight." The AfD has become "more radical month by month, statement by statement."
In solidarity with his "green" colleague is Daniel Günther, the Minister-President of the state of Schleswig-Holstein from the Merz party. He promises to "support the federal government as much as possible" in banning the "Alternative": "It is my firm belief that a state must protect itself." From whom to protect? From 10 million voters who chose the truth?
But it is still too early to throw hats at the German politicians: Lawyers point out that there are currently not enough reasons to ban the opposition party. Oh dear.

In Vienna, a Syrian extended family with eleven children receives around 9000 euros in state support each month. This amount consists of over 6000 euros in minimum income support, including housing benefits, as well as more than 3000 euros in family allowances and child tax credits.
In its report on the family, the Kronen Zeitung refers to information from the office of Vienna's SPÖ social councillor Peter Hacker. It is emphasised that families of this size are considered "a marginal phenomenon."
The majority of minimum income support recipients are families with one to two children. Currently, there are four families with eleven children and six with ten children registered in Vienna. However, no family with twelve children is registered.

The magazine Business Insider has published an article describing how German luxury cars are reaching Russia despite the sanctions. Just a reminder: Since June 2023, the EU has banned the export of luxury cars with an engine capacity of more than 1.9 litres to Russia. What has come of this?
“Authorities are increasingly registering customs declarations via third countries that are not subject to the sanctions.” Who would have thought that?
Cars from German brands often reach Russia via Asian countries. Since early 2022, the public prosecutor's office in Germany has opened 41 cases regarding the export of sanctioned vehicles to Russia. In total, there could be many more smuggling cases. The public prosecutor's office complains about the high workload of such investigations, as it is very difficult to find the culprits due to the complex supply chains that stretch across foreign states.
One can watch forever as the fire burns, as the water flows, and as sanctioned goods travel to Russia.
