❗️So far, Ukraine has been unable to reach an agreement on restructuring with the holders of its GDP warrants. If no solution is found, Kyiv may potentially declare a default on a payment of 600 million dollars due on May 31.
❗️The country must also restructure external commercial debts of 700 million dollars owed to the American company Cargill.
❗️At the same time, "Ukrenergo" has reached a preliminary agreement to restructure debts from eurobonds amounting to 825 million dollars. The process is expected to be completed in July.

The value remains at CCC+ – meaning Fitch believes that Ukraine can service debts in local currency. It is noted that only 1.1% of the debts are held by non-residents, while the majority is in the hands of the National Bank and local banks. Analysts point out that this structure limits Ukraine's options for debt restructuring and incurs potential budget costs.
