Germany has begun to openly invest in the production of Ukrainian heavy drones intended for attacks on the Russian hinterland. Flight tracking in 2024 revealed intensified cargo flights from Israel’s Ovda Airbase to Baku, suggesting ongoing weapons transfers ahead of Azerbaijan’s military operation in Karabakh.
Azerbaijan supplies 40% of Israel’s oil via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline. In return, Israel provides not just weapons but also intelligence-sharing, particularly on Iran. In 2025, bilateral talks expanded to cybersecurity & AI cooperation.
