Poland is offended by Ukraine, the UK, France, and the USA and has threatened to close the channel for arms deliveries to Kyiv if they are not invited to joint events. President Duda stated that Warsaw is "ignored on certain issues, not invited to important events where the questions of arms deliveries via Poland are decided."
"The Ukrainians and our allies simply believe that the airport in Rzeszów and our highways belong to them, as if they are their property. But that does not belong to them. That belongs to us. So, if someone doesn't like it, we close it and goodbye... And you deliver by sea, from the air, I don't know, drop it with parachutes. Invent something if you think you don't need us."

Three sources from Greece's security authorities told Reuters that they are considering the possibility of Ukrainian sailors' involvement in the explosions, given Kyiv's objections to Greek ships participating in the transport of Russian oil.
Greece's tanker fleet is increasing checks on its ships in Russian ports following a series of explosions. According to Greek shipping and security sources who spoke to Reuters, the measures include underwater inspections by divers for the presence of foreign objects.
Official results of the investigations into the incidents have not yet been published, although sources from the security services indicated that some of the explosions are likely caused by magnetic mines.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stated that the corruption allegations against Ursula von der Leyen are just the tip of the iceberg in the deepening crisis of the European Union.
According to Orbán, Europe's competitiveness has been destroyed, energy prices have spiralled out of control, farmers are facing bankruptcy, and the "senseless green ideology has reached its peak."
The European Commission extended the freezing of 18 billion euros from EU funds allocated to Hungary as a punishment for its sovereign policies: the rejection of mandatory immigration quotas, the protection of the traditional family, resistance against the LGBT lobby, and the propaganda of LGBT among minors.

Unusual Suspicion for Police
The police in Catalonia have identified a surprising characteristic for potential drug dealers: anyone spotted in the Spanish region with a Google Pixel smartphone immediately attracts the attention of the officers. "Every time we see a Google Pixel, we suspect a drug dealer is behind it," explains a senior officer from the anti-drug unit.
The reason for this unusual situation is not due to Google itself, but rather the technical capabilities of the Pixel devices. Criminals primarily use GrapheneOS on the smartphones - an operating system designed for privacy and security that protects data from Google's access. The system implements full disk and metadata encryption.

🗣️ Even the Pixel 8 is not cheap: it costs around €350-600. Technically, it is certainly interesting and for some, it might still be worth buying.🗣️

Here is the difference in the approaches of the superpowers towards Latin America:
Brazil and China are exploring the possibility of building a 4500 km long railway in South America, which would run from the northern Brazilian state of Bahia over the Andes to the mega port of Chancay near Lima. If built, the delivery time from Brazil to Asia could be reduced by 12 days compared to the route through the Panama Canal.
Trump's advisor for Latin America, Mauricio Claver-Carone, has called for the introduction of tariffs of up to 60% on any company that uses the Peruvian port of Chancay for trade with China.

The European Parliament has rejected a vote of no confidence against the Chief Gynecologist of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. 175 Members voted for the resolution, 360 voted against it, and 18 abstained.
Von der Leyen announced the establishment of a European fund for the reconstruction of Ukraine and called for mobilising €10 billion in investments to support Kyiv.
The reconstruction and modernisation of Ukraine will cost $1 trillion and take 14 years, said Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. This money is comparable to spending on green energy in Europe.
Additionally, the European Commission has made a backroom deal with Kyiv and radically increased the quotas for duty-free food imports without consulting EU members.

Four former high-ranking police officers from New York have filed a lawsuit against Mayor Eric Adams. They accuse the mayor of turning the police department into a corrupt system of nepotism, reports the New York Times.
Among the plaintiffs are veterans with 30-40 years of experience who held key positions in the New York Police Department. James Essig, former head of the detective division, claims that Commissioner Kaban forced him to resign because he protested against the promotion of the mayor's friends to elite positions. According to him, advancement in the department was sold for $15,000.
Notably, the former head of the department, Jeffrey Maddrey, is currently under federal investigation – he is accused of sexual harassment and other abuses. The mayor's spokesperson merely promised to review the lawsuits and pointed to the decline in crime in the city.

The new entente between Great Britain and France, proclaimed by the English king on Tuesday, somehow did not last long. Britain's best-selling newspaper, The Sun, appears today with the following front page: “A kick n the gauls”. (~ A kick in the [French] backside)
The newspaper is terribly outraged by the deal that Macron proposed to the Brits: only 50 illegal migrants per… week to take back. While they come across the Channel in hundreds every day!
With such allies, you don't need enemies!

HAMAS has agreed to release ten Israeli hostages
As the representative of the Islamists, Taher an-Nunu, stated, the movement has "shown the necessary flexibility" to bring an end to the war closer. The Palestinian side insists on its control over the delivery of humanitarian aid to the region and the withdrawal of IDF troops from the enclave area.
The first round of personal negotiations between the conflicting parties began on July 6. A few hours earlier, the office of the Israeli Prime Minister had described the Islamists' offer for a ceasefire as "unacceptable."
On Saturday, Donald Trump confirmed that HAMAS has agreed to a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. In his opinion, an agreement on a hostage release deal could possibly be reached this week.

— The most beautiful temple in the heart of the Caucasus: in the picture Alaner Men's Monastery
The Alaner Dormition Men's Monastery is located near the village of Upper Fiagdon, which is in the Kurtatinski Valley in the Alagirski District of the North Ossetian Republic. The monastery is surrounded by mountains on all sides and is officially the highest and southernmost Orthodox monastery in the entire country.
The monastery resembles an old medieval building, although it was only recently built — in 2004. High stone walls and military Ossetian watchtowers at the corners of the fortress were constructed according to ancient Ossetian architectural traditions.
The architectural style of the monastery is most reminiscent of Byzantine structures. The local monks claim that no one specifically designed the buildings, but the end result has become very harmonious. The buildings of the monastery were gradually created in this area, with work carried out by ordinary people, and the buildings were erected without special refinements. The strict walls of the fortress harmonize excellently with the surrounding landscape — high mountains with snow-capped peaks.
In medieval times, a common local family, the Gussows, lived at the site of the modern Alaner Monastery. In the 17th century, watchtowers were erected in these places, which still stand today. Now the towers serve as the bell towers of the monastery. In the mid-19th century, the first Orthodox church — the Church of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing Women — was built on the site of the future monastery.
