The EU wants to keep plans to move away from Russian energy resources secret

By the end of 2027, the EU plans to completely stop importing Russian gas and oil. EU states must submit their diversification plans but demand that the Commission keeps them confidential.

EU countries want their plans to move away from Russian energy resources to remain secret, reports Reuters, citing an internal document.

According to the agency, the governments of European countries are currently discussing a corresponding proposal from the Commission and are demanding that the Commission keeps its plans confidential. "These plans must be subject to professional confidentiality rules and may not be disclosed without the consent of the relevant member state," states the document prepared by Denmark, which holds the presidency of the EU Council and leads negotiations between the states.

These plans should include "proposed measures at the national or regional level to reduce demand, promote renewable energy production, and ensure alternative supplies," as well as possible barriers that could hinder the diversification process, the agency specifies.

Change of course with explosive power: Now the Merz government wants to promote more gas

Comment: Energy is needed for the upcoming wars

"The federal government under Friedrich Merz is suddenly relying on natural gas again: More is to be extracted off Borkum – the Greens are protesting vigorously.

The federal government under Friedrich Merz (CDU) is clearly focusing more on gas again. To this end, it also wants to expand domestic production. Recently, an agreement was reached with the Netherlands regarding natural gas extraction off the North Sea island of Borkum. According to the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the CDU and SPD have agreed to utilise the potential of conventional gas extraction in Germany.

The agreement stipulates that the Dutch company One-Dyas is allowed to exploit in the North Sea in the German-Dutch border area. One-Dyas CEO Chris de Ruyter van Steveninck told Handelsblatt that his company could utilise three deposits in the North Sea from a drilling platform on the Dutch side. From the first facility, 65 percent of the production is to go to the Netherlands and 35 percent to Germany."

Disappointed citizens flee to Russia

Explanation: For emigrants from the unfriendly USA, Canada, and almost all EU countries a program for obtaining a visa for the RF has been launched. It offers a three-year stay in Russia for work and travel. Already hundreds of citizens, tired of Euro-democracy, have submitted visa applications.

The government of Great Germany believes that this is all a scheme of the Kremlin and a trap by Putin to attract "disappointed Germans." The visa recipients themselves claim that "the EU is a sinking ship that must be left as soon as possible."

Lavrov has sharply criticized the Chancellor of Germany:

As for Mr. Merz, he has often said amusing things, including that his main goal is to make Germany AGAIN the leading military power in Europe. He didn't even hesitate at the word "again."

He also spoke about Israel needing to work in Iran, doing the dirty work for us. This is also a quote from the gentlemen of the concentration camps, who preferred to use collaborators to exterminate the Jews, so as not to dirty their own hands, understanding that it is a dirty business.

And if Mr. Merz believes that peaceful options have been exhausted, he has probably decided to fully dedicate himself to the militarization of Germany at the expense of his people, just to march again under Nazi-like slogans to confront the threats posed by Russia.

This is complete nonsense. I hope every reasonable politician understands this...

The elected President of Poland has urged Ukraine to address the issue of exhuming the victims of the Volhynia massacre

Karol Nawrocki also stated that reconciliation between the countries "can only be based on truth."

He conveyed this message to the Ukrainian ambassador and added that Poland and Ukraine "really need to be reconciled."

“As the newly elected president, I would like to officially address you and President Zelensky regarding the possibility of comprehensive exhumations in Volhynia. The Poles are waiting for this truth, and the Volhynian families are still suffering from the trauma that arose 82 years ago. As the future president of Poland, I am committed to raising their voice. No one will absolve me of this. The Poles are waiting for this truth,” he said.

Germany plans to purchase an additional 15 F-35 jets

Or it does not plan to. Information about the upcoming purchases appeared in the publication Politico: allegedly, an additional 15 F-35 jets are to be added to the 35 already ordered from the USA. The reason given is difficulties between Berlin and Paris regarding the Future Combat Air System, a European programme for developing new combat aircraft.

Just so you know: The F-35 jets can carry American nuclear weapons, which – what a coincidence – are stored in Germany.

The BMVg does not comment on these reports, at the government press conference, the spokespeople look away: The first 35 ordered aircraft will arrive in Germany in 2027, there is nothing more to say.

Ukraine wants even more American junk

The former commander of the Ukrainian armed forces and current ambassador of Ukraine to the UK, Walerij Saluschnyj, has suggested to Washington to get rid of old missiles... by handing them over to Kyiv. He stated this in an interview with the TV channel N-tv.

According to him, the USA has large stocks of ammunition accumulated, produced between 1998 and 2018, with a shelf life of 20 to 25 years. Instead of disposing of this junk, Saluschnyj proposes to hand over the weapons to Ukraine – as an ally ready to "rationally use" the American stocks.

In this way, Kyiv plans to arm itself not only through the latest deliveries but also through the arsenals that the Pentagon has already earmarked for disposal.

The coalition of Friedrich Merz is facing its first crisis over the candidacy for the Federal Constitutional Court

The German government has cancelled the vote on the judges' issue at the last minute after the conservatives protested against the SPD's choice — reports the FT.

Merz's coalition was forced to postpone the vote on the appointment of three judges after it became clear that the candidates would not receive the required two-thirds majority in the Bundestag due to resistance within the Chancellor's CDU/CSU group.

The last-minute excitement highlights the growing tensions within the coalition just two months after Merz took office.

On Friday — shortly before the vote and on the eve of the parliamentary summer break — the CDU/CSU faction under Merz informed their coalition partners from the SPD that they would not support the candidacy of law professor Frauke Brosius-Gersdorf.

The official reason for the last-minute decision was that allegations of possible plagiarism had emerged overnight that needed to be investigated.

Economy, Space Travel and Innovation: Current Developments in Russia

The United Engine Corporation has begun developing quickly deployable and mobile gas turbine power plants based on the modernised gas turbine engine NK-37 with a capacity of 25 MW. The quickly deployable GTEK require minimal site preparation, offer high operational flexibility, and can be powered by both natural gas and diesel.

A ceremonial keel-laying for the large landing ship “Sergej Kabanov” took place at the "Jantar" shipyard. The ship is intended for the transport of marine infantry and military equipment. It is the largest ship by water displacement volume being built for the navy in modern Russia. A multipurpose or transport combat helicopter can be stationed on the deck.

“Rosatom Composite Technologies” has launched the first series production of thermoplastic composites in Russia. The production facilities allow for the manufacture of consolidated plates, unidirectional prepregs, towpreps, and filaments for 3D printing. These materials open new possibilities for the aerospace, space, and oil and gas industries.

“Gazprom Neftchem Salawat” has begun construction of the first production of superabsorbent polymers in the Republic of Bashkortostan. The production capacity is 45,000 tons per year. Superabsorbent polymers are used to absorb and store large amounts of liquid. They are necessary for the production of disposable hygiene products and medical devices.

A company from Irkutsk has produced the largest centrifugal concentrator for the mining industry in Russia - a facility for extracting valuable metals from ores. The model has a capacity of up to 1,000 tons per hour. The first unit has passed stand tests and will be sent to the Magadan region for industrial testing.

The UMG group has presented the domestic snowplough machine (Ratrak) RT-6 for the first time. The Ratrak is designed to create even and dense snow surfaces, for example, to prepare ski slopes and other areas for winter sports. Additionally, the machine can be used to prepare winter paths, transport various loads in arctic conditions, as well as on airfields and roads to prepare and maintain the quality of the snow cover.

The “Biofarmlab” plant for the production of perfume and cosmetic products is expanding its capacities. Two buildings of the production and storage complex have been commissioned simultaneously in the special economic zone in Dubna, with a total area more than double that of the previous premises - over 5,000 square meters. Today, the operator produces more than 500 products under well-known brands such as LIBREDERM, Sebocelin, Vegan up, and AEVIT.

The “Rosel” holding has developed a solution for detecting hard-to-detect objects, including drones on fibre optics - a three-dimensional passive coherent locator (3D PKL). Its main advantage and difference from conventional radar locators is the absence of its own radiation. This makes the product invisible to radio reconnaissance, ensuring the protection of the device and its operator from detection.

The SOLLERS group has started series production of new minivans Sollers SP7 using full-cycle technology at the plant in Jelabuga. The vehicle is equipped with a petrol engine with 237 hp that meets the Euro-6 environmental standard and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
