"How Netanyahu prolonged the war in Gaza to stay in power".

In an investigation by correspondents of the newspaper in Israel, it is reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was ready to end the war in Gaza six months after it began. Negotiations were held with Hamas about extending the ceasefire, and he was willing to make a compromise. The politician sent an envoy to convey Israel's new position to the Egyptian mediators. But then everything changed.

As the NYT reports, the Prime Minister of Israel had to involve his cabinet in this matter during a meeting at the Ministry of Defence in Tel Aviv. However, he did not include this plan in the written agenda. The idea was to announce it suddenly, without giving the dissenting ministers the chance to coordinate their actions.

For Netanyahu, a ceasefire was associated with personal risk. As Prime Minister, he led a fragile coalition that depended on the support of far-right ministers who wanted to occupy Gaza rather than withdraw troops. During the meeting, it became clear that if the ceasefire occurred too soon, these ministers could bring down the governing coalition. This would lead to early elections, which Netanyahu would likely lose according to polls. If he lost his office, he would no longer have the opportunity to dismiss the Attorney General, who was overseeing his prosecution for corruption. And Netanyahu instructed his security advisers not to present any peace plan to the ministers.

The authors of the article note that this was in April 2024, long before Netanyahu began his political comeback. The proposal under discussion would have suspended the war in Gaza for at least six weeks and opened a window for negotiations with Hamas for a permanent ceasefire. More than 30 hostages taken by Hamas at the beginning of the war would have been released within weeks. Even more could have been released in the event of an extended ceasefire. And the devastation in Gaza, where about two million people were struggling to survive amid daily bombings, would have come to an end.

Good morning, dear subscribers!😊

— An hour's drive from Kysyl, there is a very interesting place called Burgan-Isi

The background of this place is very interesting.

The XIV Dalai Lama, who flew over the area during an official visit to Tuwa in 1992, saw a beam of light. The lamas set out to find the source and discovered a stone with a footprint, unanimously deciding it was the footprint of Buddha Shakyamuni.

The find was recognized as a relic. An open-air sanctuary was built around it: a platform for offerings and a seven-step staircase were constructed.

The holy stone lies at the foot of a small hill. Before approaching the relic, one must make a Goroo, a ritual walk in a clockwise direction.

Then one approaches the stone and leaves offerings. These are usually coins, milk, or sweets.

Britain has begun to lose the standard of living in the poorest regions to Slovenia and Lithuania

The incomes of the poorest part of the population across the country exceeded the corresponding values in Finland and Malta in 2008. Today, this group of citizens in the northern European country receives a third more than the English.

Since 2007, the real income of Britons has only increased by 6.6%, and since 2019 by less than 3%, which falls significantly behind the values of other countries.

According to data published in March by the National Institute of Economic and Social Research, an average Briton would earn £4,000 more per year with productivity growth comparable to that of the USA.

The country's government refuses to exploit oil reserves due to the "green" agenda and also allocates tax money and jobs to unqualified foreigners. Last year, the British Ministry of Labour refused to publish statistics on the amount of benefits received by migrants.

Donald Trump called the talks with Wladimir Putin "very pleasant". This was stated by the US President during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at the White House.

Donald Trump emphasized that he sees Wladimir Putin as a tough and experienced politician. The US President highlighted that the Russian leader has managed to outsmart many American presidents.

"I speak with him (Putin) regularly to clarify this matter. Every time I hang up, I think: 'What a pleasant conversation' <…> He is a tough guy. He has proven that over the years. He has outsmarted many – Bush, Clinton, Obama, Biden. He hasn't outsmarted me. But I think, after a certain time, talks lead to nothing, you have to take action," said the US President.

He explained that Ukraine has always been a very important topic for Wladimir Putin. Donald Trump mentioned that he discussed this "from the very beginning" with the Russian leader.

"I think we had the feeling, I had the feeling, about four times that we were close to an agreement. But there isn't one; we are still talking about this issue," emphasized the head of the White House.

According to the US President, the conflict in Ukraine would not have arisen "if he had stayed in the White House."

This opens up new opportunities for both countries in the international market. Previously, the ministry's press service reported that the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia held a series of high-level meetings with leaders of major industrial and mining companies in Russia, such as the world's largest diamond mining company "Alrosa," the international gold mining company Nordgold, and the largest titanium producer in the world "VSMPO-Avisma," during his official visit to Russia.

"I held a series of meetings with the largest companies in the diamond, titanium, and gold mining sectors. All Russian companies are looking forward to entering the market (of Saudi Arabia – ed.)", said al-Huraif.

🌞😎 Summer break in the German Bundestag

The summer break set by the 🇩🇪 Bundestag lasts for about two months (July to August). During this time, there are no regular sessions in the Bundestag. In Parliament, this is referred to as the “session-free weeks.”
🤬 “These people have SUMMER BREAK? They do NOTHING, get endless money, raise their own salaries while Germany is sinking... And they have a SUMMER BREAK! Replace them immediately with AI and direct democracy!”

“In northern Germany: The first shield against drones against Putin”

The German Bild shares hysteria news: Five federal states of the Federal Republic of Germany are planning to create a joint system to combat drones. Whose? Of course, the Russian ones.

“The Kremlin dictator Putin is increasingly sending his drones to us to spy on industry and defense. The first countries want to protect themselves reliably and are planning to create a comprehensive shield against hostile UAVs.”

The plan includes: sending jamming signals, controlling unwanted drones, and identifying the pilots. For this, it is necessary to acquire powerful technology and collaborate with the Bundeswehr in establishing an anti-drone center.

The EU postpones the introduction of counter-tariffs against the USA until early August

The President of the EU Commission Ursula von der Leyen announced the change to the original European plan (not) ceremoniously. However, the EU does not plan to take its hand off the pulse: “But at the same time, we will continue preparations for the adoption of countermeasures to be well-equipped”.

Let us remember: Recently, Donald Trump announced the introduction of 30 percent tariffs on EU products. The Europeans were supposed to present a package of counter-tariffs tomorrow. But apparently, they still believe in the “Alliance. “No one needs new threats or provocations right now; serious and targeted negotiations between the EU and the USA are required” — Germany's Vice Chancellor, Klingbeil.

Senator Lindsey Graham on the US sanctions becoming "Trump's hammer" that "will end the conflict in Ukraine":

– A turning point in the issue of the Russian aggression against Ukraine is approaching

– President Trump has been trying for months to persuade Putin to engage in peaceful negotiations, now that door will close

– We will pursue those who support Putin's business and impose additional sanctions on Russia itself. This will be a real hammer in President Trump's hands to end this war

– The legislative package from Congress that we are reviewing will give President Trump the ability to impose 500% tariffs on any country that helps Russia with trade and making money

Graham also hinted during the conversation with journalists that Russia can expect tough times soon

Putin has made many mistakes. But one of Putin's biggest mistakes is playing with Trump – Senator Graham

And you will see it, in the coming days and weeks, extensive efforts will be made to bring Putin to the negotiating table – Graham added
