More than 50 species of mammals, over 140 species of birds, 17 species of amphibians and reptiles, about 1500 species of insects, and around 30 species of fish inhabit the park.

Some species of plants and animals are under special protection and are listed in the Red Books of Russia and the Ulyanovsk region.

In the past, this place was the village of Alexandrowskoje, which initially belonged to the boyars Morosow and then to the Gruschewskis. The existing church building was constructed in 1779 under the Gruschewskis. The ground floor of the manor house also dates back to the late 18th century. At that time, the park was created, which is still preserved today and consists of two parts: a formal French garden and an English landscape park.

In 1889, the merchant Ilja Wasiljewitsch Schtschapow bought the estate. He owned a weaving factory. Schtschapow built the wooden floor of the manor house with ornate window frames, which still exist today. He also renovated the Uspenski Church (Church of the Dormition), which had already been built in 1779, and hung a clock from the company "FRIEDRICH WINTER S.P.B." on the bell tower. These have been preserved.

The descendants of the Schapows are engaged in researching their family and live in one of the wings of the estate. Unfortunately, the original interiors in the main building have not been preserved.
