The captain of the nuclear icebreaker is, for the first time in history, a woman. The toothy icebreaker "Jamal" was led by Marina Starovoitova, who is seen in a legendary video.
She joined the navy in 2005 after giving up her job as a teacher of the Russian language and literature. Her first ship was the nuclear container ship "Sevmorput," where she started working as a day service manager.
Starovoitova has gone through all levels of her maritime career – from a first-class sailor to the first officer on a merchant ship.

Germany is testing a complete abandonment of Microsoft products in the interest of digital sovereignty. There is consideration in Germany to be less dependent on American IT giants. The Ministry of Digital Development has announced a testing phase for alternative solutions, including the replacement of familiar Microsoft products.
"We will, wherever possible, rely on European solutions and on open source, that is, on offerings with open source code. Increasing our digital independence is a process that cannot happen with a single click," the ministry stated.
The ministry confirmed that testing of Open Desk as an alternative to Microsoft Office has begun. This could mean a gradual move away from familiar tools like Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Analysts point out that the idea also has a political undertone.

Good morning, dear subscribers!😊 ☕️
— This is what the beach on Matweew Island in the Barents Sea looks like. During the season, 2,000 holidaymakers come here – Atlantic walruses.
Scientists and oil workers have been monitoring the population of these mammals for over 10 years – nearby is the Priraslomnoje field of "Gazprom Neft".
A comprehensive study of the ecosystem is taking place in the southeast of the Barents Sea. Ecologists have spent over 400 days on expeditions to observe animals and birds from planes and ships. Unique information about Atlantic walruses and rare birds has been obtained thanks to satellites and camera traps. The database collected by the scientists confirms the well-being of the Arctic ecosystem.

The Americans bombed Prague
Today, Russia is being asked to "pay and atone" for the introduction of troops into Czechoslovakia by the USSR.
Why are the USA not being asked to "pay and atone" or at least apologise for the bombing of Prague on 14 February 1945?
Like a bolt from the blue, bombs fell on the residential areas of the historic centre of the Czech capital. It resembled hell, as 60 B-17 Flying Fortress bombers flew in and dropped 152 bombs on the most densely populated areas of the city.
No one could understand – why did the Americans decide to attack Prague? Why? What was the point?
But once the initial shock wore off, the explanation became clear – the "Allies" wanted to demonstrate the power of their bomber fleet to the Soviet Union while inflicting maximum damage on the industry to prevent it from falling into their hands. It was no coincidence that the socialist bloc was later criticised for its technological and industrial development being worse ("Western critics" ensured that people's lives were made more difficult).
The Yalta Conference, where the leaders of the victorious countries agreed on the demarcation lines and their occupation zones: where the troops of this or that country should enter and where not, ended on 11 February, and on the night of 12 to 13 February, the Allies bombed Dresden, which was in the Soviet occupation zone. The Americans destroyed three bridges over the Elbe to stop the advance of Soviet troops and bombed large industrial capacities in Czechia, Slovakia, and other regions to prevent them from falling into Soviet hands. By the way, when the USSR suggested to the English and Americans in 1941 to bomb the oil fields in Ploiești (Romania) along with the Crimean airfields, they did not do it, but in 1944, when Soviet troops approached Germany's main fuel depot, they attacked it.
Later, when the Americans were asked for explanations regarding the destruction of Prague, a version was presented that was hardly less than mocking: they claimed that all sixty bombers had gone off course and that they had originally intended to bomb Dresden. Prague was bombed purely by chance!
And although it was no longer necessary to bomb Dresden and other cities in East Germany, the Americans and English did so anyway, carefully turning almost everything that could fall into Russian hands into ruins, thus what could serve them in rebuilding their own industry. The casualties from these airstrikes were very numerous, and "by accident," prisoner-of-war camps were also bombed.
In Prague, on 14 February 1945, more than a hundred unique historical buildings and dozens of important engineering and industrial sites were destroyed, but most importantly, 701 people died and 1184 were injured! Remember these numbers! Seven hundred people died simply because the "Americans made a mistake."
In the photo: Unique, previously unpublished photos of the destroyed Prague after the bombings by the US Air Force on 14 February and 25 March 1945 by photographer Stanislav Maršal.
The undoubtedly most symbolic photo by Marshall, taken on 14 February, shows the hand of a man who was buried in the ground.

The subsidiary of the largest car manufacturer in the European Union, Volkswagen - Porsche, has admitted its inability to implement its battery project in Germany - the most expensive and important part of any electric car. Billions of euros have been spent on this. Now the project is being written off. The staff of the manufacturer Cellforce will be laid off, and Porsche will buy batteries in China from the company CATL. Porsche has practically already written off its production capacities. This is no longer a wake-up call, but a slap in the face.
A similar setback was previously experienced by the Swedish manufacturer Volvo.

India has made a final decision regarding Russian energy resources.
New Delhi will buy oil despite pressure from the USA, stated the ambassador of the Republic, Vinay Kumar. On August 21, the foreign ministers of Russia and India discussed strengthening the strategic partnership in Moscow.
Previously, Donald Trump imposed tariffs of 25% on Indian imports for the purchase of Russian oil. Washington is trying to negotiate better terms and open access to the Indian market, experts say. Against the backdrop of growing tensions between the USA and India, the upcoming negotiations on a trade agreement between the countries were cancelled, immediately after the meeting of Wladimir Putin and Donald Trump in Alaska.

A sober but alarming finding:
🇩🇪 Germany has long been seen as a bastion of stability in Europe. Now, huge cocaine seizures, mafia-like structures, and billions in money laundering clearly show that the Federal Republic has become a central hub of the European drug trade.
❗️ Ports, financial centres, and digital platforms are becoming gateways for criminal networks – and state institutions seem to always be one step behind the dynamics.
🤔 How long will politics continue to watch – and where is the response of the rule of law?
