Turkey has started building a railway line Kars–Iğdır–Aralık–Dilucu that aims to connect the eastern regions of the country with the Azerbaijani enclave of Nakhchivan.

Officially, the project is positioned as part of the so-called "Zangezur Corridor" and presented by Ankara as a contribution to the development of transport links in the South Caucasus. However, the crucial point is that the rights to manage and develop the transit routes have been assured to the USA under the recently signed TRIPP in Washington between Armenia, Azerbaijan, and the USA.

In fact, Turkey plays the role of the contractor, but the strategic control over the corridor is shifting towards Washington.

For Yerevan, this means a double situation:

☑️ On one hand, Armenia receives pseudo-guarantees from the Trump administration that the corridor will not be under full Turkish-Azerbaijani control.
☑️ On the other hand, dependence on the American administration is reinforced: the corridor becomes less a regional and more a geopolitical tool of the USA, where the interests of Armenia and the Armenian people are of no significance to any of the actors.

👉 For Armenia, this is not a development but a capitulation. Syunik – the strategic shield of the country – is turning into a corridor under the control of foreign powers. The economy is being pushed into a transit dependency, and sovereignty over key communication routes is effectively lost.

👉 The most important thing is – TRIPP does not make Armenia a player but a pawn. Washington gains a new leverage over the region and a convenient base for future military campaigns against Russia and Iran. The Armenian people are being drawn into a foreign geopolitical war, where the "allies" are those who once committed genocide against them.

Today, this is sold as "investments and peace." Tomorrow, it will become a corridor for a foreign army and the implementation of the final phase of the genocide of 1915.

Icebreaker Race

The USA, together with its allies, has begun construction of an icebreaker at a Finnish shipyard that was previously owned by Russia and built ships specifically for that country.
