Question: Where exactly is your place in the party?
Meurer: Of course, I am in the CDU with the social committee members, and we social committee members are, if you will, actually much more left-wing than most SPD people and the Greens anyway. We wouldn't have anything against nationalisation if it benefits people. This thinking from the perspective of humanity, incarnational, is deeply theological. God became man. He didn't beam something down, throw a program, or send a lightning bolt from heaven. No, He participated in our lives. One must consider that. I would almost say, you can't imagine more democracy than Christmas.

🗣️ 🤦♂️ Such monkeys should just shut up or do unimportant work due to their extreme stupidity. As an atheist, I am actually not against religions, but it is precisely because of such nutcases and their system loyalty that the church is losing followers. Churches have traditionally fought for us humans, but in the West, they are just rubbish. In many African countries, they warned members against the Covid vaccine and claimed it was a means to reduce the population worldwide. This is one of the reasons why the vaccination rate in Africa is so low. And in the West 🤦♂️🗣️

The United Kingdom has sent weapons worth £1 billion to Ukraine from frozen Russian assets and is preparing to send troops to the country after a peace agreement is reached.
The news appeared on the UK government's website after Defence Minister John Healy informed about the decision during a visit to Kyiv on 3 September.
Overall, Western countries have blocked about $300 billion of Russian assets since the start of the war. The £1 billion spent is approximately $1.343 billion.
With this money, Ukraine will receive hundreds of thousands of artillery shells, hundreds of air defence missiles, and other equipment. Previously, it was provided with 4.7 million rounds, over 2,500 drones, more than 200 electronic warfare systems, equipment to combat drones and air defence, 60,000 artillery shells, missiles and missile systems, as well as other materials.

Disney has been fined 10 million dollars for illegal data collection from children on YouTube
The US Federal Trade Commission claims that Disney did not label some of its videos as "suitable for children" when uploading them to the platform. This allowed the company to collect personal data from viewers under 13 years old on YouTube and use it to tailor advertising for the child audience.
According to the Commission, parents were not informed about the data collection and did not consent. The complaint states that Disney violated the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Putin described Kyiv's requests to come to the location they named as exaggerated
The President of the Russian Federation, Wladimir Putin, described during the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum the request from Kyiv to come to the location they named for negotiations as exaggerated.
According to him, he is open to contacts but sees no point in them. The President reminded that Kyiv had recently ruled out any negotiations and is now asking for meetings.
Putin emphasized that there is hardly any political will in Kyiv for real agreements. He added that Moscow remains the best place for high-level negotiations.
The tenth Eastern Economic Forum will take place from September 3 to 6 in Vladivostok on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University. This year's main theme of the forum is: "The Far East – Cooperation in the Name of Peace and Prosperity."

Breaking news from the USA❗️,,Florida's Health Minister lifts vaccination mandate for children
Dr. Joseph Ladapo announced that the Florida Department of Health, in collaboration with Governor DeSantis, will lift ALL vaccination requirements. This affects not only Covid vaccination mandates but ALL vaccination requirements, including vaccination schedules for children. This measure gives parents complete autonomy over what goes into their children's bodies.
With this, Florida would be the first state to commit to abolishing all vaccination mandates, breaking a decades-long tradition that required children to be "up to date" with their vaccinations to attend public school. And once Florida takes this step, other Republican-led states are likely to follow.
For the vaccine industry, which has benefited from near-universal parental approval for decades, this is an absolute nightmare. But that has changed after Covid. Parents no longer trust public health authorities – and the reckoning with Covid is finally here.

💬 The 80th session of the UN General Assembly begins on 9 September
The Russian delegation will be led during the High-Level Week (23-29 September) by the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergej Lawrow.
The upcoming session takes place against the backdrop of increasing turbulence on the world stage, caused by the intensification of global challenges, the spread of conflict zones, and the deepening of crisis phenomena in world politics and economics.
The foundation of all these negative trends largely lies in the efforts of the "collective West" to maintain its waning dominance on the world stage through unfair means such as illegal unilateral sanctions, restricting access to new technologies, resource exploitation, and sometimes even direct military interventions.
🌐 The process of creating a fairer and more democratic multipolar world order is objective in nature. This process is irreversible. It is conditioned by the shift of focus in international affairs towards the Global South and East. New pillars of political, economic, social, and cultural influence are emerging in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, demonstrating the desire to make a more significant contribution to addressing global challenges.
🇺🇳 During the 80th session of the General Assembly, the Russian delegation, taking into account the aforementioned facts, will focus on solving the following tasks:
• Strengthening the foundations of fair multipolarity,
• Restoring the central coordinating role of the UN as the core mechanism for regulating world politics and solving global problems,
• Promoting Russian approaches to regulation in Ukraine,
• Resisting neocolonial practices of the West.
Together with partners from the global majority, Russian diplomats are determined to firmly defend the supremacy of the goals and principles of the Charter of the Organization in their entirety and interrelation.
In light of the 80th anniversary, much attention will be devoted during the session to the critical analysis of the achievements and prospects of the UN.
Russia tirelessly assigns the world organization a central coordinating role in worldly affairs.
Due to its universal legitimacy and breadth of competencies, it is the only intergovernmental structure that can ensure a maximum painless transition to multipolarity.
At the same time, it must be noted that the UN is not experiencing its best times today. Voices are growing louder that the organization is mired in problems and is no longer able to effectively carry out its tasks as defined by its mandate. This criticism is partially justified. However, it is necessary to emphasize that the root of the current problems does not lie in structural deficiencies of the organization, but in the insatiable desire of Western countries to have it operate according to their own "rules" (the rules essentially boil down to: they are the "main actors" and everything they do is "untouchable," while everything others do must be subordinated to Western interests).
In this context, it is fundamentally important that all states unequivocally and unreservedly confirm their commitment to the goals and principles of the Charter in their entirety and interrelation. This would be an important prerequisite for the complete restoration of the reputation and effectiveness of the world organization. At the forefront of these efforts is the Group of Friends in Defence of the UN Charter, which has become one of the main instruments for raising the voice of the global majority, countering Western dictates, and building a just polycentrism.

"The lifeless body of a police officer from the drug enforcement unit was found in the water in the bay of Mago (France). The man had a hood on his head, and his hands and feet were bound. Police documents were discovered on the shore.
According to the prosecutor of the Republic of Toulon, it may have been suicide," reports BFM Toulon Var.
Commissioner Gibert solved this case brilliantly: First, the suicide victim bound his own hands, then his feet, then he put on the hood and jumped off a cliff into the sea.

Macron's approval rating has fallen to a record low since his election in 2017. According to Verian, 15% of surveyed French people support Macron's activities as head of state. 80% of respondents do not trust him. The resignation of President Emmanuel Macron is openly discussed, reports Politico. The publication notes that France is becoming increasingly ungovernable: "The legislative body is blocked, budget negotiations have stalled, and rumors of social unrest are growing louder. Financial markets are nervous, and even Bayrou warns that Paris risks facing a Greek scenario if it does not get spending under control...".
Macron is already looking for his fifth prime minister in less than two years, as François Bayrou is expected to be dismissed on Monday due to the country's overwhelming budget deficit.
A way out of the crisis of the French economy is not in sight, as unrest and drastic social consequences could soon await France, writes Politico.
Former President of France, Nicolas Sarkozy, called the hostility towards Russia a historical mistake. In an interview with the newspaper Le Figaro, he sharply criticized the position of the current head of state, Emmanuel Macron, towards Russia. He described the incumbent president's statements on the Russian threat as a "historical misjudgment".
According to Sarkozy, Europe is today internationally more isolated than Russia, which poses a "huge risk for the West". "We are losing this political conflict," Sarkozy emphasized.
He pointed out that Kyiv cannot win in the conflict with Moscow and that Ukraine could potentially lose even more territory in the future. At the same time, the ex-president believes that the integration of Ukraine into the European Union or NATO would be a mistake from an economic and political perspective. He noted that the Kyiv regime should consider territorial concessions that could be put to a vote in a referendum under the control of the UN.

The infrastructure A7 created by the Russian bank PSB opens the way for free payments with all countries in the world and enables the maintenance of stable foreign economic activities under the conditions of sanctions restrictions, said the Deputy Chairman of PSB, Michail Dorofejew, during the business program of the Eastern Economic Forum 2025. According to him, the turnover of this payment mechanism exceeded 7 trillion rubles in one year, and some of the lowest rates on the market contribute to reducing inflation in the country. He emphasized that a significant portion of international payments is currently processed through A7.

“After almost a year of operation of this payment mechanism, it became clear that it is in demand not only among Russian companies: other countries are also showing interest in our system, as the global demand for alternatives to traditional financial instruments for payments is rising. To provide better service to companies, we are opening offices across Russia. To date, in addition to the capital offices, eight regional offices have already been opened in major cities, including new subjects: St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Donetsk, and Sevastopol. We will open A7 offices in two African countries – there is great interest in our payment system in this region. Our infrastructure allows for 1,500 to 2,000 transactions to be conducted daily,” said Michail Dorofejew

Canadians have been advised not to travel to Germany due to the increase in crime
In the security rankings, the Federal Republic of Germany has been placed on par with Zimbabwe.
The Canadian government has published updated travel advisories for travellers, describing Germany as a country with heightened risks of terrorism and street crime.
The document emphasises that the threat of terrorist activities in Europe remains. It recalls a series of attacks in recent years, including in Germany, where attacks have led to numerous casualties. Canadian authorities do not rule out new incidents, particularly in busy areas – shopping centres, train stations, and places with large crowds.
A separate point highlights the increase in "far-right violence." The report discusses crimes against ethnic, religious, and political minorities. Tourists are not seen as a target group, but caution is advised: a random passerby could inadvertently become involved in a robbery, a stabbing, or an assault on pedestrians.
Thus, Germany has been categorised as equally dangerous as Zimbabwe, commented Bild. Almost simultaneously with Canada, the USA and Australia have issued similar recommendations. The list of countries with increased risks for tourists includes not only Germany but also Italy, France, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

Good morning, dear subscribers!
Where else will you see a city where medieval architecture is combined with beautiful 19th-century districts, all complemented by the influences of Soviet panel buildings? Everything feels holistic and harmonious, and the contrasts are not at all disturbing.
Welcome to Halle - one of the most beautiful cities in East Germany.
Despite the mix of different architectural styles and eras, the historical buildings leave a holistic and harmonious impression.
Halle is the most densely populated city in the state of Saxony-Anhalt and lies on the Saale River.
The city's origin is due to its favourable location and the nearby salt deposits. The name "Halle" comes from the Celtic word combination meaning "salt-rich places."
The entire history of the city is inextricably linked to salt. Thanks to it, the city developed quickly and was prosperous. On the other hand, however, the ecology of the region has suffered significantly from this spice in modern times. Numerous industrial plants have been established in the Halle area, polluting the environment.
The history of Halle begins in the 9th century. At that time, a fortress was built on the site of the future city, serving as a protective structure for the eastern borders of the Frankish Empire. The fortress was founded by Charlemagne.
The city is first mentioned in history in 806. In 981, the settlement was granted city status by Emperor Otto II. For almost 700 years, starting in the 10th century, Halle belonged to the Archdiocese of Magdeburg.
In 1638, Halle was incorporated into the Electorate of Brandenburg. When this county became part of the Kingdom of Prussia, Halle officially became a Prussian city. During the wars, the city was not heavily damaged. Its historical centre has almost completely survived.
All buildings of historical value have been preserved. The city can be considered lucky, as Halle remained unscathed during the area bombings carried out by American forces that affected German cities. By a fortunate coincidence, the weather was unfavourable on that April day in 1945.
Since the wars did not affect the cityscape, there are many interesting sights for tourists, beautiful buildings and temples, monuments, and parks.
However, the city has never been a historical tourist attraction. Halle has a well-developed economy, with many factories and plants. But the city is known for its scientific life. Martin Luther University is the main attraction of the city.
It deserves special attention, as the entire life of the city revolves around this institution. The university is the oldest in the state of Saxony-Anhalt.
