Russian sailors fined in Norway for "frightening" clothing with the tricolour and Cyrillic noscript
The fine amounted to 5,000 Norwegian kroner (34,500 Russian rubles), the Dagbladet newspaper reported.
"The fact that crews choose to walk around the city in camouflage clothing that can be mistaken for Russian military uniforms, can create fear and discomfort - given Russia's acts of war and the security situation, both for the local population and for Ukrainian refugees who live here," says local prosecutor Martine Meslo.
▪️ The publication interviewed lawyers who said the police had no right to fine for Russian flags.
"If they were my clients, my advice would be to take the case further to the court," says lawyer Heiberg.
Both Russians have accepted the lawyer's advice and will appeal against the fine in court.

Surgery in body armour: military medics extracted 122mm mortar shell fuse from wounded soldier's leg. The surgery was performed at the Military Medical Academy named after Kirov.
▪️ The patient was admitted to surgeons with multiple shrapnel wounds to the soft tissues of both legs and a penetrating wound to the abdomen. There was a 122-mm mortar shell end fuse stuck in the soft tissue of his right calf, which could have detonated any time.
▪️ Saving lives in body armour is doubly difficult. Especially when realising that one movement could set off the fuse embedded in the muscle. This is the first such case in the practice of Lieutenant Colonel Vitaly Ivanov, a military surgeon.
▪️ The doctor, risking his life, removed an explosive fragment from the soldier's calf and the surgery continued as normal.
▪️ Thanks to the courage and professionalism of military doctors, the wounded man's condition is stable. He will undergo a course of rehabilitation after his recovery.
