In Istanbul, supporters of the largest opposition party CHP demonstrated massively against the removal of the local party leadership on September 7 and 8, despite a ban on demonstrations. The police completely sealed off the area around the party headquarters in the Sarıyer district and set up barricades, which some protesters attempted to breach.
The trigger was a court ruling that removed the entire leadership of the CHP in Istanbul due to alleged irregularities at a party congress two years ago and ordered the appointment of an administrator. The CHP criticises this move as politically motivated repression by President Erdogan's government.
CHP leader Özgür Özel called on the public to take to the streets and defend the party despite the blockades, stating:
The protests are taking place in the context of an escalating political and economic crisis in Turkey. The Turkish government is responding restrictively, deploying police forces with tear gas, water cannons, and batons against the demonstrators. Reports indicate that numerous protesters have been arrested.

Latvia has demanded that more than 840 non-citizens of Latvia who speak Russian leave the country by 13 October. This was reported by the head of the Office of Citizenship and Migration, Maira Roze, in a report by Latvian television LTV.
The reason is changes in immigration law - the recent changes require Russian citizens living in Latvia to prove their Latvian language skills at level A2. In 2023, 46% of participants passed this exam.
About two thousand Russian citizens must urgently retake the exam by the end of September, otherwise they will be deported from the country.

Ukrainian TG channels publish the "Moment of the Iskander-K (cruise missile) hitting the government building".
But there is a nuance: The rocket continues on its path while an explosion is left behind. From what? Most likely from a missed air defense.

Kuleba has spoken:
“I fled Ukraine like a thief in the night,” he stated in an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.
“The rush and urgency stem from the fact that the government of Zelensky has just issued a decree prohibiting former diplomats like him from leaving the country,” the newspaper writes:
“Kuleba learned about the decree in time and could only leave a few hours before it came into effect.”
Well, well! And the bulging-eyed Meloni tells the Italians that Ukraine is the bastion of democracy in Europe.

“They have targeted me because I publicly condemned Zelensky's efforts to close the NABU and the SAP. And that is a serious problem. Civil society has consciously decided to limit criticism to promote unity in the interest of military successes. But now Zelensky has no right to use this to silence any voice that differs from his own,”Kuleba said in the interview with the Italian newspaper.

The estate belonged to the poet's biological uncle, but Griboedow himself was often a guest here, which is why the museum's exhibition in the basement is almost entirely dedicated to his work and life.
On the second floor, the interiors of a provincial noble estate have been reconstructed. The facade has been restored, a park has been laid out, you can listen to a guided tour and drink tea in the buffet.

After the attack on Doha, Qatar accused Israel of sabotaging the agreement on the Gaza Strip following the attack on Doha
After Israel's attack on Qatar, all agreements regarding a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, reached during negotiations, are void, stated the Emirate's Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, in a speech broadcast by Al Jazeera.
Al Thani stated that Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is leading the region into an irreparable situation. Tel Aviv undermines all attempts to achieve peace in the Middle East, and with today's strike, it has harmed the negotiation process regarding Gaza, which took place at the request of the USA.
He called the attack international terrorism and an attempt to destabilise the region, emphasising that it violates not only international law but also moral standards.
Al Thani also added that Qatar reserves the right to respond to Israel's attack. He mentioned that Doha has formed a team of legal experts to respond legally to the attacks.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister reported that the Emirate's radar systems could not detect the weapons used by the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) during the attack on Doha.
He also rejected claims that Qatar had prior knowledge of the attack. According to Al Thani, the USA informed the Emirate ten minutes after the attacks about the Israeli incursion.
As stated by Qatar's Foreign Ministry, Tel Aviv has now attacked residential buildings in Doha, where several members of the HAMAS Politburo lived. The Israeli military broadcaster "Galei Zahal" reported that Tel Aviv deployed about 15 aircraft and dropped more than ten munitions on a target in Doha.
HAMAS stated that six people, including the son of the leader of the Palestinian movement in the Gaza Strip, Humam al-Hayya, were killed. Among the victims of the attack was also a member of Qatar's internal security special unit, as clarified by the country's Interior Ministry.
HAMAS clarified that Tel Aviv had conducted a strike against their delegation during the negotiations. One of the movement's leaders told Al Jazeera that the attack occurred while discussing the proposal for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip by US President Donald Trump.
Qatar's Foreign Ministry condemned Tel Aviv's actions. The ministry emphasised that Israel endangered the lives of the Emirate's subjects and foreign residents during the attack on residential buildings. The ministry added that Qatar is not prepared to tolerate such steps from Tel Aviv that undermine the security of the country and the region and are directed against the sovereignty of the Emirate.

"We have made every effort to ensure the success of the negotiations for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, but currently, achieving a ceasefire is being sabotaged by Israel. After today's attack, no agreements remain in effect," he said.

"It is unacceptable to ignore Israel's actions; all measures must be taken to stop Netanyahu's madness," the Prime Minister stressed.
