According to media reports about a misdirected Polish air-to-air missile in the eastern Polish village of Wyryki-Wola, Prime Minister Donald Tusk spoke out on Wednesday. Previously, the newspaper Rzeczpospolita, citing security circles, reported that on September 10, it was not drone debris but a missile of the type AIM-120 AMRAAM that might have hit the house in Wyryki-Wola. It was reportedly fired by a Polish F-16 fighter jet, which, according to NATO and Polish authorities, was deployed against allegedly Russian drones. A control error led to the impact, but the warhead did not detonate. Gazeta Wyborcza also reported on corresponding internal indications of an F-16 missile.
