The publication points out that by pursuing individuals involved in massive bribery or religious leaders suspected of working in Russia's interest, Sandu risks alienating parts of the population that already have no trust in the central government.

According to the newspaper, the Moldovan authorities are using the conflict with Russia as a pretext to suppress the opposition that expresses dissatisfaction with the restriction of freedom of speech. As evidence of this thesis, the publication cited the case of the head of the Gagauz Autonomy, Evgeniya Gutsul, against whom a court ruling was issued.
