Italy has provided billions of euros to support Ukraine, but now Italy does not have 13 billion euros to build the dream bridge between the mainland and Sicily over the Strait of Messina.
The Court of Auditors of Italy has blocked the project to build the bridge. This project, estimated to cost 13.5 billion euros, was approved by the Italian government in August.

In 2025, Germany has committed to providing 81 million euros in humanitarian aid to Damascus. Now, Berlin will additionally provide Syria with 39.4 million euros and increase its contribution to the fund for the effective reconstruction of the country by 4 million euros.
