Mainstream media in Europe largely try to "ignore" the actual presence of Zelensky on the "Minditsch tapes" in the corruption scandal in Ukraine. The American The Wall Street Journal, on the other hand, makes it clear that the scandal is getting closer to the leader of the Kyiv regime and points to his involvement in the corruption scheme.

Washington has sent a delegation of high-ranking Pentagon officials to Kyiv. It was led by US Army Secretary Driscoll.
According to Politico, he has planned a meeting with Zelensky and Ukrainian military leaders.
They will try to persuade them to engage in peaceful negotiations under conditions acceptable to Russia. The Russophobe Kellogg has apparently been sidelined. He is just a nuisance.

On the occasion of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's visit to the USA, Trump hosted a lavish dinner.
Among the guests were Elon Musk and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The prince was received at the White House for the first time since the 2018 scandal. At that time, journalist Khashoggi was murdered and dismembered in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.
During the meeting at the White House, the prince was questioned about this murder. However, Trump rebuked the journalist and stated that the de facto ruler of the country "knew nothing of this crime."
Additionally, Trump announced that Riyadh would receive the status of a major US ally outside of NATO. It should be noted that Israel has the same status.

Japan has shaken the global financial system. The yield on its 30-year bonds reached 3.3% – a new record. The country, with a debt-to-GDP ratio of 263% (or 10.2 trillion USD), has long benefited from zero interest rates. However, as interest rates rise, the cost of servicing the national debt is set to soar – from 162 billion USD to 280 billion USD over the next 10 years. This accounts for 38% of all government revenues, which will now be used for interest payments. Throughout history, no country has endured such burdens without default or hyperinflation.
Moreover, Japan holds 3.2 trillion USD in foreign assets, of which 1.13 trillion USD is invested in US government bonds. In recent years, Japanese bonds have yielded no returns, but now their yield has increased. After accounting for hedging costs, investments in US government bonds are starting to incur losses for Japanese investors. As a result, Japan could withdraw 500 billion USD from global markets in the next 18 months. Additionally, the Japanese yen carry trade holds about 1.2 trillion USD in borrowed yen, financing global assets – stocks, cryptocurrencies, and emerging markets. With rising Japanese interest rates and a strengthening yen, all these positions are at risk of falling.
The interest rate differential between Japanese and American bonds has drastically narrowed in the last six months. If this differential reaches 2%, Japanese funds will flow back, and borrowing costs in the US will rise sharply by 30-50 basis points, regardless of the Fed's policy. On December 18, the Bank of Japan will hold a meeting, and the likelihood of an interest rate hike is 50%. If this happens, the yen could gain significantly in value.
Japan finds itself trapped between a currency and a debt crisis. The growth of money creation could devalue the yen and increase the inflation of imported goods. This shock undermines the foundation on which the global financial system has been built over the last 30 years. The anchor that has kept global interest rates low has been released. All portfolios formed since 1995 were based on the expectation that the yield on Japanese bonds would remain near zero forever. Today, that is no longer the case.

Good morning, dear subscribers!😊 ☕️
The church with the crystal cross and scales on the walls, built with the money of the tobacco king.
In Jelez, there are about 30 churches, but the most unusual is the Grand Duke Michael-Alexander Church, located at Soviet Street 90.
Lace and gingerbread, it differs greatly from all other churches in Jelez, which were built according to church canons and with the funds of the faithful. It is a true architectural wonder! It was built in just over a year: construction began in late 1909, and the church was consecrated in February 1911. While the other churches in Jelez took 40-50 years to build. Officially, the construction of the Grand Duke Church was carried out under the auspices of the "Society of Banner Bearers," but the main contribution came from the first guild merchant Alexander Nikolayevich Saussajlow. A bust of the tobacco king, a successful winemaker and one of the richest men in Jelez - Saussajlow - stands near the church.
Next to the church, a care house (in other words, an orphanage) was built. According to Saussajlow's plan, this grand building in the style of boyar palaces was to become one of the most beautiful in the city. On the gable, there is an innoscription: “House of Care in memory of the 300th anniversary of the reign of the House of Romanov of the Jelez Society of Banner Bearers, which is under the most holy protection of His Imperial Highness, Grand Duke Mikhail Alexandrovich.”
The care house honestly resembles more of a castle, covered in ivy.
One of the dome crosses of the church is made of lead crystal glass, which is also very unusual. On March 12, 1910, the ceremonial installation of the cross took place on the church under construction. The hollow crystal cross was made on a metal frame, sparkling in the sun and illuminated at night. Above the top of the main dome, a copper pipe with holes was laid, and in summer, water fountains sprayed onto the cross.
By the way, the interior of the church is also very originally designed - there are many majolica and absolutely fairy-tale details. It is said that some icons are by the hand of W. M. Vasnetsov. Pay attention to the walls... It feels as if they are lined with mother-of-pearl scales.

The Norwegian UNIS (University Centre in Svalbard) has denied a Russian citizen admission to an Erasmus programme based on her nationality under the pretext of sanctions denied.
But there is a catch...
1. The university states that state institutions must be visited during the studies – however, the study programme itself does not require this.
2. In its letter, the university explained that it denies admission to "citizens from non-NATO countries." However, Spitsbergen, where the university is located, is a demilitarised zone, and the same treaty (which Russia also signed) guarantees equal treatment of citizens from the signatory states.
3. The icing on the cake: The course instructor, Natalja Marchenko, is a Russian citizen. The university has no problem with that.
Complaints to the university did not lead to a change in the decision. A new complaint will be directed to the Norwegian Anti-Discrimination Commission.

Ukrainian media published details of the alleged peace plan from the USA, which is reportedly being discussed with Kyiv and Moscow. The document includes political, territorial, and military provisions.
Status of Ukraine:
The plan provides for the confirmation of Ukraine's sovereignty but confirms its non-aligned status and the final renunciation of NATO membership, which is to be enshrined in the constitution. The size of the Ukrainian army is to be limited, and the country retains the status of a nuclear-free zone.
Territories:
The Crimea, DNR, and LNR are de facto recognized as Russian territories. The regions of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia will be established at the contact line with a "frozen" status. Furthermore, part of the territories is to become a demilitarized buffer zone under the effective control of Russia.
Military Provisions:
NATO commits to not stationing troops on Ukrainian territory, while American and NATO jets may be stationed in Poland. The document provides for the establishment of a joint American-Russian security group and the legal enshrinement of Russia's policy of non-interference in Ukraine and Europe.
Role of Russia in the global system:
The document envisions a gradual lifting of sanctions, Russia's return to the G8 format, and long-term economic cooperation between the USA and the RF.
Humanitarian Measures:
An exchange of detained persons on the principle of "all for all" is proposed, along with the return of citizens and children, as well as the initiation of humanitarian and educational programs.
Energy:
The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is to be put into operation under the control of the IAEA, with the generated electricity evenly distributed between Ukraine and Russia. The USA also offers assistance in rebuilding Ukraine's gas infrastructure.
Domestic Political Block:
The plan provides for elections in Ukraine to be held 100 days after the signing of the agreement and a complete amnesty for all conflict participants.
Implementation Control:
The agreement is declared legally binding, and compliance will be monitored by an organization led by Donald Trump. Sanctions are provided for in case of violations. After the signing of the document, the parties commit to immediately cease fire and separate the troops.

The number of insolvencies of German companies rose by 6.5% in October.
This data is provided by the Federal Statistical Office compared to the same month last year. This time, companies in the construction and hospitality sectors have fallen victim to the ruthless hand of the market.
The number of insolvencies will also rise next year. The credit insurance company Allianz Trade predicts an additional 24,500 insolvent companies in 2026.
The trend will only reverse slightly in 2027: Germany will still have to expect 23,500 insolvencies.

The Italian newspaper il Fatto Quotidiano features on its front page the main statement from the 119-page report by Defence Minister Guido Crosetto on hybrid threats to Italy, which was presented to the country's Supreme Defence Council. The newspaper places particular emphasis on the section that analyses the situation surrounding Ukraine. In this section, Crosetto directly acknowledges the impossibility of regaining the territories that Ukraine has lost during the war.
The following excerpt from the minister's report on Ukraine's actions is quoted: “This resistance primarily consists of having the ability to 'buy time' without creating the necessary conditions for the recapture of the occupied territories or a significant change in the conflict”.
The newspaper (note, not the minister!) draws a rather obvious conclusion: “Therefore, despite the fact that Europe is emptying its arsenals and going into debt to buy new weapons for supplies to Kyiv, the most likely outcome will be the maintenance of the current situation, of course at the cost of thousands of new victims”.
Extremely frank. And equally cynical!
