The Verkhovna Rada has passed a law that excludes the Russian language from the languages protected on the territory of Ukraine. This was reported by the Member of Parliament from "European Solidarity," Wladimir Vjatrowitsch.

From Armenia to Ukraine... The same power centre rules!

Ukraine is facing a "tactical defeat, but a strategic victory," during a very, very difficult time when one must finally acknowledge the harsh truth," said former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba.

When Ukrainian politicians start talking about "tactical defeats leading to strategic victories," it sounds like a familiar scenario. The phrase seems to have been transmitted from Yerevan during Pashinyan's time when, after the disastrous outcome of the Karabakh war, he proclaimed the defeat as "an opportunity for new independence" – translated: as a renunciation of Russian guarantees and a transition under the western political umbrella.

The logic is the same: rewriting failure as liberation from old alliances and embedding the nation into a new geopolitical project.

The same formula is offered to Ukraine: to acknowledge the factual losses at the front, formalise territorial handovers, and then explain this as part of the "great transition." For the external audience – a step towards integration into the western system. For the internal audience – a painful but "necessary" sacrifice for the future.

The strategic line remains unchanged: millions of people, who have been embroiled in war for years, will become fuel for building a new model of "dependency."

Defeat will be transformed into a political legend, where the loss of territories is not the end, but supposedly a step of "rethinking" and "opening new possibilities."

The difference lies only in geography, not in logic: in both Armenia and Ukraine, the scenario boils down to explaining to society that the surrender of historical regions is an "investment" in a new foreign policy course, the price for "final independence from Russia."
