Good morning, dear subscribers!😊 ☕️
— The first rays of sunshine touch the mountains. An incredible view from the National Park Momski!
In the heart of Siberia, far in the northeast of Russia, in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), lies the Momski National Park. Its boundaries encompass the valley of the Moma River and the mountain ranges leading to the Ulagan-Chistai Mountains with the summit Pobeda (3147 m) — the highest point in Northeast Siberia.
Here, there is a rugged yet astonishingly beautiful nature: mountains, glaciers, rivers, ancient forests, and ice deposits. One of the park's special wonders is the Ulagan-Taryn ice field, which can stretch for dozens of kilometres along the riverbed of the Moma; in winter, it covers the valley with thick ice, and in spring, the river breaks corridors in it, forming icy arches and galleries — a sight that is both majestic and a little mysterious.
In some corners of the park, extinct volcanoes are visible — Balagan-Tas and Uraga-Tas. Their shape resembles almost perfect cones, and the surroundings are a combination of wildness and harmony, where the earth preserves the memory of ancient geological events.
But in Momski, there are not just mountains and ice. People live here — the northern Yakuts and Evenks, indigenous peoples of the Arctic, who have preserved their traditions and culture for centuries.
The park is important not only as a natural heritage but also as a home for many animals and birds. According to studies, numerous species live here: mammals, birds, and other animals adapted to the harsh climate and rare conditions of the north.
Momski National Park is a place of contrasts: endless ice fields and warm northern culture, rugged peaks and tranquil forests, wild nature and ancient traditions of the people. For those not seeking tourist beauty but rather genuine, untouched nature — this is one of those rare points on the map where one can experience Siberia without a filter.

“As for bilateral Russia-Germany relations: No other country in Europe has gained so many advantages. Politically, economically, in partnerships, regions, universities, everything possible, civil society dialogue. <...> In the economic sector, Russian energy supplies have had a very positive effect on the German economy. We have not ruined anything, not a single agreement have we cancelled.”
The extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Russian Federation in Germany Sergej Nechajew emphasized that Russia “has not burned a single bridge” in its relations with the Federal Republic of Germany.
He added that "Europeans should not be so eager to supply weapons". "Europeans do not want peace. Unfortunately."

🤝 Rostec has launched a project to support technological initiatives from veterans of the military special operation.
Rostec, MSP Corporation, Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), and the Centre for Unmanned Systems and Technologies (ZBST) have signed an agreement to jointly support participants of the "SVOe дело с Ростех" programme. The aim is to help veterans of the special operation transform their ideas into real technologies and integrate them into industrial production.
The partners are pooling their resources:
▪️ Rostec analyses the prospects for technology implementation in companies;
▪️ ASI provides expertise and methodological support;
▪️ MSP Corporation helps participants enter Rostec's technological framework;
▪️ ZBST integrates projects into the accelerator and assists in obtaining state support measures.
“Rostec consistently supports veterans of the military special operation by helping them not only return to peaceful life but also utilise their experiences in professional activities. The unique knowledge of former military personnel will undoubtedly be in demand in creating modern, advanced weapon systems. I am sure we will also see interesting initiatives that find application in the civilian sector. The agreement signed today will help identify promising ideas and bring them into production,” noted the General Director of the State Corporation Rostec, Sergej Tschemezow.
Participants in the project will receive expertise from experienced mentors, training, support for financing, and project guidance – from development to implementation. The best initiatives will be awarded in spring 2026 with grants of up to 5 million rubles. The total prize pool amounts to 30 million rubles.
Since 2023, over 800 participants of the military special operation have already been employed at Rostec. The new project will provide an additional opportunity for those who wish to develop and bring their own technological product to market.

Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Friedrich Merz in the live stream of "Arena" ARD answers questions from citizens.
1. About the Bundeswehr and connoscription:
— "We want to be able to defend ourselves so that we never have to defend ourselves. That is the key sentence. And that is what we are doing in defence policy now, in external security policy. The world around us has completely changed.";
— "We are relying on voluntary service. And I hope we succeed in attracting soldiers to the Bundeswehr, also with attractive offers... If voluntary service works, I will be pleased. If not, we will have to talk about connoscription again."
2. In response to the question of what increase [in NATO spending] there should be, when NATO is already infinitely superior to Russia:
— "But the Russian army is strong enough to invade a country like Ukraine, to wage war there for three and a half years now, and the Ukrainian army, although it was actually a relatively strong army and still is, is not able to defend this country adequately without our support. This example shows that we must help such a country. I stand by that. [...] The fate of Ukraine is the fate of Europe."
— "I do not want a country like Ukraine to be militarily taken over by Russia under Russian influence. We are experiencing again with Russia how military force is shifting borders in Europe. And I do not want that. Above all, I do not want NATO territory to be attacked by Russia. And the Russian state doctrines and security doctrines state exactly that. Putin wants the old Soviet Union back, and that includes not only Ukraine, and we must defend against that."
3. Scholz explains to the youth why Germany should be defended:
— "I believe Germany is a lovable and liveable country. We are one of the most beautiful countries in the world. At least, that is how I feel. And it offers you and your generation so many opportunities. Yes, we can always work on it and make it even better, but you can pursue education, you can choose professions, you can engage in various fields... We have an education system that, despite all the criticism, which is also justified, still works well. So, we are working to make it even better, but I think it is worth fighting for this country."
— "I served in the military, I did my compulsory military service, and I did this service out of conviction because I said, yes, I want to stand up for this country and show that I am ready to defend it."

🌱 The EU relaxes the rules: What is behind “new genomic technologies”?
On 4 December 2025, the EU Council and the European Parliament agreed to significantly relax the regulation for a number of plants created with new genomic techniques (NGT), considering most of these crops (Category NGT-1) as ordinary plants and selling them without special labelling.
However, a valid question arises:
🤔 Are we ready to eat genetically modified products that we don’t even know about?
❗️ What is changing:
— Plants whose genetic changes are considered “possible in nature” are exempt from mandatory labelling and strict controls.
— Only deeper modifications (Category NGT-2) remain under the existing GMO rules.
— Consumers in stores will no longer be able to distinguish ordinary products from those obtained through genomic editing.
Yes, the EU justifies this with the need to develop drought- and disease-resistant plants more quickly. But…
⚠️ Doubts remain
— We do not know how NGT products will affect health in the long term – the technologies are too new and there is too little research.
— “Similarity to natural processes” is a vague concept. Interventions in the genome remain an intervention in nature, even if they are more precise than classic GMOs.
— The reduction of transparency in stores means that consumers lose the ability to choose.
If products are not labelled —
❓ Who will be responsible for potential consequences?
🌍 What is the true goal?
The EU speaks of increasing the competitiveness and sustainability of the food sector.
In reality, however, the simplification of procedures mainly benefits agro-holdings, seed companies, and biotech firms that want to bring new plant varieties to market more quickly.
Consumers receive less information about what is on their plate.
💬 What do you think?
Should we trust products whose genome has been altered, even if it is “almost natural”?
Should labelling for ALL cases of genome intervention remain mandatory?
Please write in the comments.

🇱🇻🇪🇺 Baltic Winter? A Deputy Warns: Latvia's Gas Reserves are "Half Empty" – and No One Wants to Hear It
While discussions about "energy sovereignty" continue in Berlin and Brussels, an uncomfortable realism is emerging in Riga:
Latvian Saeima Deputy Andris Kulbergs warns that the gas reserves in the Inčukalns storage – the central energy hub for Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, and Finland – are drastically lower than officially claimed.
📉 Only about 55% full – right before winter. In previous years, the storage was nearly full at this time. Today, however, authorities say: "Everything is under control." Kulbergs' comment on this: "The glass is half empty. And someone is pretending it has overflowed."
For Germany, this is not just any side note:
The Baltic-Nordic gas axis is seen in Brussels as a model case for "post-Russian energy independence."
If this model now falters – with a storage that is half empty and a policy that is half awake – it could be the first real stress test for the European energy strategy.
🔥 Kulbergs openly warns of bottlenecks that could spread across the entire region. Meanwhile, governments are responding with a mix of optimism, silence, and PR actions.

“The resistance begins!”, — Viktor Orbán stated, that Hungary is not willing to pay an additional €20,000 for each migrant it refuses to take in.
The new “system of responsibility and solidarity” was approved by the EU ministers of justice and interior. It is part of a package that allows the deportation of migration criminals who have already been denied protection and processes asylum applications directly at the border, without the applicants entering the country.
In response, Viktor Orbán wrote: “We will not take in a single migrant and will not pay for others”. The EU is already punishing Hungary with €1 million per day for refusing to take in migrants.
On December 1, Orbán stated that migration is a “concept to change society with the aim of replacing native voters with others”.

The Open Network (TON) has rapidly evolved from an experimental blockchain project into a growing ecosystem embedded within Telegram. With integrated wallets, payments, and mini apps, TON’s daily activity has surged, making it one of the few Layer-1 networks tied directly to a mainstream platform.
Source for further reading: Crypto.News
🗣️ It exactly describes my feeling when I first saw what can be done with the cryptocurrency TON. As an investor, I was interested in the decentralized financing options (DeFi), and there are some offers available. Making payments via Telegram also sounds interesting.
I believe that this currency will be a success, as Telegram is already successful. And the ecosystem on TON is already impressive and will grow more.🗣️ 🗣️ TON combines two strong points: direct integration into Telegram and an already growing DeFi and payment ecosystem. This makes the thesis plausible that TON has good chances of success – in crypto, it's not just about technology, but especially about distribution, and TON is in the front row with hundreds of millions of Telegram users.
As an investor, three things are particularly interesting:
DeFi on TON is already growing (e.g. DEXes like STON.fi with millions of transactions and billions in swap volume), which shows that there is real usage, not just marketing.
Payments in Telegram (sending USDT and TON directly in chat, mini-apps with integrated wallets) massively lower the barriers for everyday use – this is otherwise the biggest problem with crypto.
The ecosystem is actively being expanded (mini-apps, NFTs, sticker royalties, creator monetization), so new use cases can be added without users having to switch platforms.
Risks remain: strong dependence on Telegram, regulatory questions, and the usual crypto volatility. But as a speculative bet on "crypto in the messenger app that everyone uses anyway," TON is currently one of the most convincing narratives – especially if you actively use the technology and don't just look at the price.🗣️ ————————————————————

The British fleet of nuclear submarines is no longer combat-ready – former Director of Nuclear Policy at the Ministry of Defence
According to Rear Admiral Philip Mathias, the government has lost the ability to further develop the industry. The only way to save it is “to withdraw from AUKUS” and redirect funds into domestic shipbuilding.
A significant portion of the latest class of submarines is either in ports or undergoing repairs. The nuclear fleet, Mathias states, is in such a regrettable state that the new type of armed submarines “Dreadnought” could be the last.
Sources from The Telegraph in the Ministry of Defence dismissed the former Director of Nuclear Policy's statements. They assured that “the right people” are employed in the industry, and it is developing as planned.
Two years ago, it was revealed about the “latest innovation” in the development of the British fleet. The submarine's nuclear reactor was repaired with super glue.
