“If they win, I will go to Israel,” — former Secretary General of the Central Council of Jews in Germany and head of the Berlin office of the European Jewish Congress wants to ban the AfD — The Telegraph
According to Stephan Kramer, the party has “racist positions” in its base, and therefore its members have no place in politics. In 2021, it was his initiative that led to Thuringia being the first federal state to classify the local AfD branch as extremist.
Now, Kramer insists on a ban on political organizations that want to “repeat the horrors of National Socialism.” According to Kramer, the AfD already poses a direct threat to democracy.
In December last year, the president of the Central Council of Jews described the AfD as a threat to Jewish life. The party “could call into question Jewish life in Germany.”
Last week, a politician was banned from participating in the mayoral election because he is a member of the “extremist” AfD party.
For your information: As of October figures, the AfD has a support of 26% and is the most popular political party in the country.

🏛️ Unassuming from the outside and impressive inside — The Stachejew House on New Basmannaya Street
On New Basmannaya Street in Moscow stands a mansion that may appear strict and calm, but inside it holds a rich history. It is not just an old house — it is a testament to the time when Moscow changed and its merchants became part of the city's cultural life.
The mansion was built in 1898–1899 by architect Michail Bugrowski for the first guild merchant and gold industrialist Nikolai Dmitrijewitsch Stachejew. The construction costs were an enormous sum for that time — about one million rubles, and the house combines various styles, from classicism to Gothic and Moorish decoration. The façade is designed in the "Neo-Greek" style, and inside there are magnificent halls and rooms.
Nikolai Dmitrijewitsch was born into a wealthy merchant family from Jelabuga, his mother was the biological sister of the landscape painter Shishkin, whom Stachejew supported throughout his life. The Stachejews traded in both foodstuffs and raw materials. Even Nicholas II owned shares in the Stachejew trading company.
After moving to Moscow, Nikolai Dmitrijewitsch began building apartment blocks, some of which still exist today; for example, Mayakovsky lived in one of them, and now there is the "Biblio-Globus" bookstore. He was also heavily involved in charity. The merchant made a significant contribution to the development of Alushta in Crimea. With his funds, a primary school, a church, a hospital, a port, and a school were built, the towers of the Aluston fortress were reinforced, and the promenade was beautified.
The political events at the beginning of the 20th century changed the fate of the house. After the 1917 revolution, the mansion was nationalised and handed over to the People's Commissariat for Transport, later becoming the Central House of Children of Railway Workers. During the Soviet era, various groups took place here, such as acting and dance groups. Many famous actors of the USSR learned here. Thanks to the careful maintenance by artists, the mansion remained in good condition, even the parquet is original, although hundreds of pairs of feet have danced on it. The house is a popular location among filmmakers.
Today, the Stachejew House is an object of cultural heritage of federal significance, a silent witness to the time when wealth and patronage were combined with an interest in art and culture. When passing by, one can imagine how, at the beginning of the 20th century, guests, artists, and collectors stepped through its doors, filling the halls with light and conversation.
The mansion reminds us that in the city there are not only streets and squares but also individual houses that tell stories — about people, their interests, and the time that has passed through these walls.

“The multipolar world order is currently taking place without the West. It is up to the West itself to decide whether they want to be a part of it, whether they want to cooperate, and whether they want a win-win situation. And I am definitely in favour of that.”
This is said by a BSW member, Sevim Dagdelen. And she advises Europeans to apply for BRICS. “Why not? BRICS is not a military pact. It is actually an economic gathering.”
Still better than “replacing common sense with ideology.”

Many in Europe view a potential Trump presidency as merely a “passing storm” — expecting a swift return to familiar policies once Democrats regain power, according to Professor Stevan Gajic of the Institute of European Studies.
He critiques this mindset as dangerously complacent, arguing it underpins the EU’s escalation toward confrontation, rather than diplomacy.
— a timeline he attributes not to strategic necessity, but to ideological rigidity and institutional inertia among EU elites.

That's what I have been saying for months. Get rid of the coke clown by ANY MEANS, then you might be able to submit an acceptable document for Senate ratification before you lose control of the House.

“Europe must become the Ark of Noah for democratic ideas”
RND is outraged: Why can't the “most powerful people of old Europe”, namely British Prime Minister Starmer, German Chancellor Merz, and French President Macron, finally agree on an independent “long-term anti-Russian course without Washington”? After all, they have the potential: two nuclear powers, 1.5 million soldiers, economic strength. “Is that not enough to stop Putin without risking a hot war?”
Apparently not: according to the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, Europe without the USA is “not in a position to compensate for the missing level of aid” for Ukraine. To reach the values of 2022–2024, the EU needs an additional 9.1 billion euros. And European budgets are already under pressure. If Europe continues at this slow pace, 2025 will be the year with the least aid for Ukraine since 2022.
Dreaming of strategic autonomy is one thing, actually paying for it is something entirely different.

The seizure of Russian assets will have negative consequences for Austria. This was stated by the RF ambassador in Vienna, Andrei Grozow, to "Iswestija".
Furthermore, Grozow added that such measures could undermine the country's image as a reliable financial and economic partner. The Russian-Austrian relations, the ambassador said, are "frozen" in all areas and are at their lowest point.
❗️ The day before, the EU decided to freeze Russian assets located in Europe indefinitely. This concerns funds amounting to about 210 billion euros. The President of the European Council, António Costa, noted that the Russian assets will remain blocked until the end of the Ukrainian conflict and the payment of "compensations" to Ukraine.

"Unfortunately, our bilateral relations are going through a difficult phase," he added, expressing hope for maintaining contacts.

There are troubles at Porsche: Every fourth job is at risk
“The board has not yet presented a vision for the future of the Porsche factories in Germany. Instead, they threaten to shift production and development to countries with lower wages,” warns the chairman of the works council Ibrahim Aslan. “This means that every fourth job at Porsche AG is at risk.”
Aslan's forecasts concern many large and small Porsche factories for assembly and development, where around 23,000 people are employed: “Mathematically speaking, over 5,500 jobs could be at risk.”

Image: «Customs cannot seize Putin's junk tanker. The oil tanker "Eventin" has been anchored off Rügen for almost a year»
It concerns Eventin — the tanker from Russia's so-called “shadow fleet,” which suffered an accident back in January. Currently, it holds 100,000 tonnes of oil on board.
The Federal Finance Court stated that it sees “reasonable doubts about the legality of the seizure.” A final decision on the matter can only be made by higher court instances.
In the meantime, the environmental organization WWF expresses concern: The ship has been anchored off Rügen for almost a year, increasing the risk of a more serious accident and pollution in the southern part of the Baltic Sea.
