The reaction of Americans to Zelensky's appeal to send their children to die for Ukraine gathered tens of thousands of tweets.

The Ukrainians are urgently trying to justify themselves: you misunderstood, the words are taken out of context, Zelensky is just tired. But tweets from Americans, including famous ones, say that they got it right.

The planned fence height is 3 meters, and its length will be 200 km.

Finland passed new amendments to its Border Guard Act in July which allow the building of stronger fences. The existing wooden fences serve mainly to prevent cattle from crossing the border.

Alexander Lukashenko fully supports China's peace plan for Ukraine

The president of Belarus told his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping at a meeting today that his country fully supports Beijing's proposals to end the war in Ukraine.

"Today's meeting comes at a very difficult time, which requires new, unorthodox approaches and responsible political decisions. And they should be aimed primarily at preventing a slide into a global confrontation in which there will be no winners," Alexander Lukashenko said.

East-West confrontation looms at G20 summit

The increasingly acrimonious rift between the United States and its allies, on the one hand, and Russia and China, on the other, looks set to intensify further as senior diplomats from the G-20 gather in the Indian capital on Thursday.

Although they will all be in the same room together, there was no indication that Blinken, who spent two days in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan warning Central Asia about the threat posed by Russia, would sit down with any of them.

"The destructive U.S. policy has brought the world to the brink of disaster, provoked a setback in social and economic development and seriously exacerbated the situation of the poorest countries," the Russian Foreign Ministry said on the eve of the G20 summit.

After publishing a story from Crimea, NBC journalist Keir Simmons has been listed in the Myrotvorets database.

He is blamed for an attempt on Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity and for participating in Russian propaganda.

Simmons had earlier travelled to the peninsula and talked to local residents who consider themselves Russians and Crimea a Russian territory.

Once again we see Ukrainians helping to defend "high Western standards" of journalism and freedom of speech.

🇷🇺 Fakes, disinformation and silencing of hot topics - what was remembered by foreign agents and organizations undesirable in Russia in the past week

Last week's main topic of discussion was the infiltration of Ukrainian DRGs into the Bryansk region. Foreign agents and Russian opposition figures presented the news from various angles.

▪️ Meduza, FBK, Dozhd, a number of liberal telegram channels, and other Western-funded resources convinced the audience that the incident was fake and a provocation by the Russian military.

▪️ When it became clear that the incident was not fake, the opposition media and spokespeople (e.g. Lyubov Sobol) ignored the involvement of DRG members in far-right neo-Nazi organizations.

▪️ Fugitive Russian MP and now Ukrainian citizen Ilya Ponomarev and his resources promoted the following narrative: a squad of Russian mercenaries quietly broke through the Russian border, which is literally a sieve.

In fact, one of the purposes of such actions is to create a picture of the struggle within Russian society. The DRG is a rather small radical grouping under the full patronage of the GUR, which performs the tasks of destabilizing Russia.

▪️ Ukrainians created a website - "National online referendum for self-determination of the republics of the Russian Federation" under the slogan "Stop dying for Moscow!". It is not known exactly who the creator of this initiative is, but it is actively supported by Oleg Dunda, the main propagandist for the collapse of the Russian Federation among Ukrainian MPs.

Visitors are invited to vote for the independence of the following regions: Ingria, Koenigsberg, Kuban, Siberia and the Urals. In doing so, the organisers refer to the law of the Russian Federation, but there is a problem. None of these regions is an administrative unit, and Ingria is generally a figment of the imagination of a few Petersburg activists who fled the country long ago.

▪️ The US government-funded Free Russia Foundation offers scholarships ($700-1000 a month) to Russian activists, bloggers, and journalists who have fled the country for political reasons.

Fellows are required to create media products against current Russian policies as well as communities to support other Russian activists.

▪️ Some foreign agents (Novaya Gazeta, Kholod, etc.) have attempted to expose the topic of the youth organisation PMC Ryodan as if its emergence was a consequence of the state's attacks on non-formal teenagers and intimidation of young people into connoscription to the front lines.

Some federal and state-owned TV channels and media decided to pick up the topic and recklessly link it to the "machinations of the enemy" and the "Ukrainian trail". This is hardly possible, although Ukrainian propaganda has made attempts to pick up the agenda.

In reality, spider sweatshirts and anime are just conventions, and the root of the problem lies in the suggestibility of teenagers and the need to create narratives that are close to them and understandable, without which the battle for their minds cannot be won by any prohibition.

▪️ Climate Action Network-International (CAN), the world's largest network of environmental organisations, has launched an awareness campaign against the construction of nuclear power plants by Rosatom in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

CAN unites more than 1,800 NGOs from 130 countries.

The organisation points out that if Rosatom implements its projects, the states could fall into energy dependence on Russia for hundreds of years.

There are 12 organisations within the network in Russia and it is possible that they are only "sleeper cells" for now but their potential will be clearer later.

❗️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Highlights of Russian Military Operation in Ukraine on March 4-5

▪️In Crimea near Hvardiis'ke in the Simferopol district, Russian air defence systems shot down an unidentified projectile.

The explosion from the fall did not cause significant damage. The downed object could have been a Ukrainian drone.

▪️Regular shelling of border areas in Glushkovsky district of Kursk region proceeds.

Volfino and Krasnooktyabr'skiy were hit by AFU, both settlements are de-energized. There are no civilian casualties.

▪️Positional fighting and artillery strikes exchange along the entire contact line are recorded in Starobil's'k direction.

The most tense situation remains at Lyman sector, where Russian motorized riflemen continue to fight in the forests near Kreminna.

▪️Wagner PMC squads continue the assault of Bakhmut: over the past weekend, at least 20 enemy strongholds were captured in the city.

The advance of Russian forces was recorded almost along the entire perimeter of the besieged city.

▪️Being under the threat of complete encirclement, AFU began a partial withdrawal of troops from the central and western districts.

The Ukrainian command is withdrawing the most combat-ready units, leaving the non-shot parts of the territorial defence units for cover.

▪️During the withdrawal from the fortified area in Ivanivske, two enemy groups were intercepted and destroyed by Wagner PMC units.

As a result of the swift battle, Ukrainian losses amounted to about 30 people killed and more than 60 wounded.

▪️Ukrainian units shelled Volnovakha using HIMARS MLRS in the south of the Donetsk People's Republic.

The former building of the commandant's office and several civilian buildings were hit, nobody was injured.

The Financial Times published an interview with Kapustin (aka Denis Nikitin), who posed in front of a building in Russia's Bryansk region during the raid.

Nikitin said that the raid was agreed with 🇺🇦Ukraine - without specifying any persons or their level.

Otherwise, he said, the group just would not have reached the Russian border.

"How do you imagine that I passed through the dark of night there? There are mined bridges, there are cameras, drones, observation posts. If I didn't co-ordinate with anyone [in Ukraine's military] I think we would simply be destroyed."

Earlier, Mikhailo Podolyak, advisor to the head of the 🇺🇦Ukrainian President's office, called the incident a "classic provocation" by Russia.

It is interesting, will Podolyak comment on it somehow or not?

Russia is successfully getting around EU and G7 sanctions to buy electronics needed for producing weapons, - Bloomberg

▪️A EU official told the agency that Russian imports in this segment have largely returned to 2020 levels.
▪️Analysis of market data shows that advanced chips from the EU and other Western countries are supplied to Russia through third countries, such as Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Kazakhstan. Shipments from China to Russia have also surged as Beijing plays an increasingly important role in supplying Moscow, an EU diplomat noted.
▪️Bloomberg's data show that Turkey, Serbia, the UAE and a half-dozen other economies in Eastern Europe and Central Asia helped Russia make up the shortfall. Meanwhile, shipments of high-tech components to those countries from NATO countries surged by a similar amount. The same sort of patterns are apparent across hundreds of product categories, but it is especially acute when it comes to advanced chips and integrated circuits that can be used for military purposes.

The US in Germany has worked out two offensive options as part of a headquarters exercise with Ukrainian commanders, the New York Times reports. The sessions on Thursday were attended by "Biden's most senior generals". Their task is to devise a strategy for countering the Russian Federation in the coming months.

Just routine, Biden's generals devising a plan to attack the Russian army in Ukraine. Apparently we are on the verge of a nuclear war, or at least, a Patriotic War.
