According to Orbán, the true cause of the existing escalation risk is the political, economic, and social decline of Western Europe, while the Ukraine conflict is more a symptom of the current situation than its cause.

Orbán also pointed out that war in Europe could break out in the near future and that 2025 may have been the last peaceful year for the region.
