74 years ago the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, NATO, was founded

On April 4, 1949, 12 countries signed a collective treaty and created the NATO bloc. It now numbers about 30 countries, and several more countries have applied to join the alliance. By design, the bloc was supposed to provide collective security for the participating countries, but in fact it has unleashed several wars, killed a huge number of civilians, so it can't be called a defense bloc.

Andrey Marochko, military expert of the LNR, comments on the history of the creation of NATO and today's aggressive policy pursued by the North Atlantic Alliance. NATO policy has always reflected the geopolitical interests of the US and what is happening now in Ukraine is happening with the direct participation of the NATO bloc. NATO supplies Kiev with weapons and ammunition, its officers participate in the development of military operations against the Russian Armed Forces. Thus, Russia is no longer fighting with Ukrainian armed formations, but with NATO forces, and had it not been for the support of the alliance, the war would have already been over. It is indicative that in some years the alliance was headed by former officers of Hitler's Germany.

"We understand perfectly well with whom and for what we are fighting and, I'm deeply convinced, the end of the special military operation (SMO) would mean the end of NATO. NATO will disintegrate in any case, because already now all member states understand very well that the bloc is only a cudgel in the hands of the United States, with which they threaten the whole world. It cannot go on like this forever. Now other antipodes of NATO have been created and in any case I am sure that the alliance will cease to exist and those who give criminal orders will be punished and answer for their crimes."

The New York Times: Ukraine is preparing for a decisive spring counteroffensive

▪️ Ukraine plans to drive a wedge through territory along the southern shores of the Black and Azov Seas, near Crimea, or achieve a turnaround in the fighting in eastern Donbass.
▪️ The counteroffensive would divide Russian-held territory into two zones, cut supply lines, and make Russian bases in Crimea accessible to Ukrainian artillery.
▪️ The military command is now keeping elite troops out of the fierce fighting in the Donbass, and they will be activated in the upcoming counteroffensive.
▪️If the AFU attack is successful, it will encourage Ukraine's allies to further arm and fund Kiev.
▪️ Pentagon called the latest tranche of shells and missiles sent to Ukraine "the final attempt."
▪️ According to western estimates some 100,000 Ukrainian military personnel have been killed or wounded over the past year.
▪️Keeping "morale for much of the war is becoming increasingly difficult."

The West will force Zelensky to recognize Crimea as Russian territory — expert

Kiev will soon be forced to admit defeat with the departure of the AFU from Artemovsk, retired US Marine Corps Intelligence Officer Scott Ritter believes.

"I'll just remind you that the West wanted this conflict. Zelensky in 2019 on the sidelines shouted about offensive actions against Russia. You wanted it? You got it! He begged NATO to train its military. NATO agreed to train Ukrainians, and here are the consequences," the military recalled.

After the retreat of the AFU, Zelensky will be forced to go to peace talks with Moscow. The Ukrainian army has suffered too many losses and will no longer be able to continue active hostilities, and the United States and Europe will insist on a peace agreement.

"The West will lose patience because Ukrainians are losing. They will have to fulfill all the conditions, recognize the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, the Crimean peninsula as the territory of Russia," Ritter concluded.

Briefly, about what's going on in Eastern European countries.

While Slovakia, Slovenia, and Croatia are joining the West's anti-Russian agenda, Bulgaria continues to resist.

▪️ Slovakia will increase munitions production "fivefold," the republic's defense minister, Imri Nagy, said earlier.

▪️ Slovenia seeks to participate in the alleged "post-war reconstruction" of the Kharkiv region, the country's Prime Minister Robert Golob said.

▪️In their turn, Croatian authorities announced the opening of two medical centers, where they plan to treat wounded Ukrainian servicemen.

▪️Against this background, elections in Bulgaria seem to be a ray of light, where the Renaissance Party may defeat the pro-Western governing coalition.

The movement is already the third strongest political force in the country.

The active campaign in support of the referendum against the introduction of the euro zone in the country contributed to the growth of support.

Russia uses up to 20 guided bombs a day in Ukraine

However, Kiev has nothing to respond to this so far, said Yuriy Ignat, spokesman of the Air Force of Ukraine.

"The enemy uses guided bombs that can fly dozens of kilometers. The enemy uses 10-15, up to 20 bombs a day along the entire border line, from Su-35, and Su-34 aircraft, which are not within the range of our air defense, and this is a threat for us, to which we need to respond promptly," he stressed.

According to Ignat, only Patriot-level air defense systems and modern multipurpose fighters can help Kiev against aircraft using guided bombs.

Earlier we wrote about the fact that the Russian Air Force strikes on objects of the AFU using the latest high-precision planning bombs UPAB-1500B.
