Robert F. Kennedy Jr: Pharmaceutical companies were "window dressing" for a huge military operation.
"The Pentagon didn't want to put on the product, 'This is a Department of Defense-manufactured product.' So they essentially paid the pharmaceutical companies for their brand name so people would think they were getting something from Pfizer or Moderna - but all the backroom and distribution and manufacturing [was done] by the military. And the pharmaceutical companies were brought in, and they put their name on it and then pretended to do clinical trials that had no legal standing."

--The Sudanese Foreign Ministry calls on the UN to condemn the Rapid Response Force (RSF) mutiny. Hemedti is once again fighting for power --
📍Geography: #Africa
▪️ Crisis: political, economic, humanitarian
▪️ Circumstances: fighting, coup d'état
---
Sudan's Foreign Ministry calls on the UN and other international organisations to condemn the Rapid Reaction Force (RSF) mutiny and notes that civilian lives, including women and children, are at risk due to the fighting.
| Learn more about the crisis in Sudan |
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs appeals to the international community represented by the United Nations, the African Union and all other regional organisations to condemn the mutiny of the Rapid Response Force against the Sudanese armed forces, as it is the army that is the legitimate official body responsible for peace and security in the country," the statement said.
Humanitarian review
Fighting in Sudan is in its fourth day between rebels and the army. This is accompanied by pogroms and looting. In the capital Khartoum and other cities, rebels are demanding civilians to give them water and food.
The situation in hospitals is catastrophic - there is a shortage not only of medicines but also of surgical kits, oxygen and blood donations. At the same time, wards are overcrowded and the wounded keep coming in.
Broken truce
On April 18, RSF leader General Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo, known as Hemedti, tweeted that after talking to US Secretary of State Blinken, the rebels were ready for a temporary ceasefire for 24 hours to ensure the safe passage of civilians and evacuation of the wounded.
But just hours later, Hemedti accused the Sudanese army of derailing the agreements:
"Unfortunately, the Sudanese Armed Forces are not respecting this ceasefire agreement by aerial bombardment of densely populated areas and endangering the lives of civilians. These actions are a blatant violation of the foundations and principles of international and humanitarian law."
Who Hemedti is
Hemedti is one of the most influential people in Sudan. He has already several times taken part in coups d'état and easily betrayed his allies.
Hemedti created the Rapid Reaction Force (RSF) in 2013. He rose noticeably during Omar al-Bashir's presidency: he got the rank of lieutenant general, seized gold mines in Darfur, his family ran cattle ranches and controlled key infrastructure.
But that did not stop Hemedti from joining the 2019 uprising and toppling al-Bashir. Human rights activists accused RSF of massacres of dissenters and war crimes, but there were no consequences for Hemedti.
He has met with Western ambassadors, spoken publicly about the importance of democracy in Sudan, sent RSF forces to fight the Houthis in Yemen and received support not only from the US but also from Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
In 2021, forces under his control, along with the army, carried out another coup in Sudan, overthrowing the Transitional Military Council, which gained power after al-Bashir was overthrown.
The current crisis is the result of another struggle for power and influence in Sudan. Hemedti is once again dissatisfied with the political balance and has declared his ambitions. Sudan is once again plunged into chaos, with civilian casualties and deaths on the rise.

Slovakia suspends imports of Ukrainian grain and other products
Following Warsaw and Budapest, Bratislava has stopped importing grain and other food products from Ukraine to boost demand for its own products.
The EU is awaiting "some sort of explanation" from the Central European states after Poland, Hungary and Slovakia announced bans on imports of Ukrainian food. Bulgaria also admits considering a ban.
"Ukrainian grain should at least be allowed to transit through Poland," said Ukrainian agriculture minister Mykola Solskiy on TV. He also said that negotiations are planned this week with the countries that have banned grain exports and transit.
Solskiy added that supplies of agricultural products to Poland account for about 10% of the total Ukrainian food exports. Hungary accounts for another 6%.

India and Russia discuss a free trade agreement, despite protests from the West
Negotiations on the agreement will boost economic relations between Moscow and New Delhi despite calls for India to distance from Russia.
"We are paying special attention to issues of mutual access for products in the markets of our countries," Russian Industry and Commerce Minister Denis Manturov said at an event in New Delhi.
Russia's imports to India more than quadrupled to $46.33 billion in the last fiscal year, mainly on account of oil.
Meanwhile, New Delhi is simultaneously negotiating a free trade zone agreement with the UK, the EU and the Gulf Cooperation Council.

The UN secretary-general was "furious" that Zelensky had included a ceremony awarding medals to the Armed Forces of Ukraine without his consent during his visit, The Washington Post has reported, quoting Pentagon documents.
The UN secretary-general visited Kiev on 8 March to discuss a grain deal, and Zelensky dragged the secretary-general to a ceremony to award medals to the military without asking.
"And later published photos and video footage of the event, which showed that the secretary-general was allegedly congratulating the military".

US House of Representatives introduces resolution to disclose number of US troops in Ukraine
House of Representatives member Matt Gaetz has drafted a resolution to oblige President Joe Biden to disclose the number of US troops in Ukraine. Breitbart News reports.
"The government's activities must be fully transparent to the American people, now it appears to be 'playing war' with the nuclear states by deploying special forces to operate in Ukraine," Gaetz said.
The resolution was passed after leaked classified documents from the Pentagon showed at least 29 Department of Defense personnel, including 14 US Special Operations Forces, were there last month.

Saudi foreign minister heads to Syria for first visit in 12 years
Damascus will receive Prince Faisal bin Farhan today, ending more than a decade-long diplomatic freeze between the two countries.
"Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan arrives today at Damascus International Airport for an official visit to Syria," the information ministry said in an official statement.
Arab engagement with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, who has been politically isolated in the region since the start of the civil war in 2011, has intensified in recent months.
Countries are gradually beginning to treat Assad warmer as he has reclaimed much of the territory lost to rivals, with crucial support from Russia and Iran.

German Interior Ministry uses special operation in Ukraine to cover up ongoing migration crisis in the country - Breitbart
This was stated by the deputy leader of the Christian Democratic faction in the German parliament, Matthias Middelberg.
For her part, Interior Minister Nancy Feizer said that eight out of ten refugees in Germany come from Ukraine. However, Süddeutsche Zeitung reports that 81,647 Ukrainians have arrived in Germany this year as of March 31, while 80,978 migrants from other countries have arrived in the same period.
Opposition MPs from the populist 'Alternative for Germany' party have expressed concern about crimes committed by migrants against German citizens. It is becoming clear that migration is once again a serious problem in Germany.

American publicist Noam Chomsky:
“The war and escalation in Ukraine is taking a huge toll. The Ukrainian army is apparently practically annihilated. Most of the world sees this as a proxy war between Russia and the US. And it’s getting harder to avoid that conclusion.
If the war escalates, very serious damage will be done to Ukraine.
US policy in Ukraine remains stable. The war must continue to seriously weaken Russia.
Britain and the US intervened directly last March to persuade Ukraine not to move towards negotiations with Russia. Britain and the US have made it very clear that we are not ready for negotiations. The official position is to wage war to weaken Russia.
If you think about it only from a practical point of view, this is a kind of sadism. In fact, almost the entire world suffers from it. Ukraine is the largest, but also Africa and Asia. There is a reduction in the supply of food and fertilizers. Europe is declining, even moving towards de-industrialization due to the breakdown of natural trade relations with Russia.
The world is in decline, one exception is the US, which is doing brilliantly. They are destroying enemy forces at a very low cost, and the fossil fuel companies are euphoric about the huge profits. It is unclear how long Europe will agree to this.
We know what is happening in the global zone. They refuse to participate. Kamala Harris and others were desperate to get the countries of the South to join the US. In the world, one after another, they said: “We pay no attention to your hypocritical proclamations, we know perfectly well what they mean, we have suffered for centuries from your savagery, stop lecturing us, it’s just ridiculous, we are not going to take part in this, we we are going to regulate our trade and other agreements with Russia and especially with China. You don't like it? Very bad!".
Even such long-time US allies as Colombia have simply flatly abandoned us. Asia, India, Indonesia. The US is pretty isolated. 90% of the world's countries do not comply with sanctions."
