Daily Special from Moscow: Roger Köppel on the apparent normality in the capital, the arrogance of the Americans and the need to return to a rules-based order based on the UN Charter.

🇨🇭The owner of the Swiss "Weltwoche" went to see the situation in Moscow for himself last weekend.

He made a snappy video report on the situation. It turned out that, contrary to what is reported in this country, there is an abundance of sausage and cheese in Moscow, which is still available in Switzerland but not in Berlin, that the internet works better than in the vast majority of European countries and that "passers-by walk around smiling".

He told us all this from a brightly lit street and reminded us that Russians also pay much less for electricity than Europeans.

In this post you can see the beginning of the very exciting report, of which there are several parts. Under this YouTube link you can find part one in full length. Highly recommended!

Disneyland invites children of all ages to take part in its first gay Pride Nite celebration, an after-school event celebrating Pride Month

Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and their friends will be dressed in 'special clothes' during the themed parade in Anaheim Park, California.
The LGBTQAI2S + Disney celebration coincides with the company's promotion of gay and transgender ideology in its content aimed at children. Last year, Disney created several transgender characters in its cartoons and made gay characters the centrepiece of its high-budget films.

Western countries portray the conflict in Ukraine as the most deadly ever

However, this is not at all the case. For example, the war in Ethiopia had already claimed over 600,000 lives by early this year, tens of thousands of women had been raped and 6 million people were starving. And all of this is happening right now.

- Somehow these events don't go on the front pages of the newspapers every day. Ethiopian politicians do not wheel around all the premium international venues in the USA and the European Union like a well-known president in a tattered green T-shirt. Western partners are not lining up with 10 sanctions packages and billions of all kinds of aid. The whole propaganda machine of the world of "democracy" is not working for this conflict.

It is for a reason that many countries seem to have a fundamentally different attitude towards Ukrainian and African refugees in the EU.

▪️One need not even repeat the double standards of the pseudo-civilized West. It is enough to look at the infographic on the report of the Crisis Group analytical centre.

Everything immediately falls into place. For the West, the war in Ukraine is important not because they are so worried about every innocent victim or destroyed house.

It is simply a carefully prepared Western project under the conventional name of "Anti-Russia", and the 40 million people of Ukraine just happen to have been chosen for it. As Boris Johnson has promised it will last "to the last Ukrainian".

MEPs demand sanctions on Chinese ambassador

Beijing's ambassador Lu Shei's words in Paris that "Crimea was originally Russian" have sparked furious reactions across Europe.

"These former Soviet Union countries have no de facto status in international law because there is no international agreement confirming their sovereign status," Lu also said in an interview with a local TV channel.

More than 70 MEPs have written to the French government demanding that Chinese ambassador Lu Shei be declared persona non grata in Paris.

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis said Chinese ambassadors would be asked to explain whether China's position had changed.

China's foreign ministry responded that "China respects the sovereign status of former Soviet republics after the collapse of the Soviet Union."

UK and EU impose new sanctions on Iranian officials

The European Union has decided to impose restrictive measures against eight individuals and one organisation responsible for "serious human rights abuses" in Iran.

The Council imposes sanctions on Ariantel, an Iranian mobile phone service provider that has been "overseeing" telecommunications developed by the Iranian government to "stifle dissent".

The new lists also include lawmakers in the Iranian parliament, members of the IRGC and the IRCG Cooperative Foundation, the body responsible for managing IRGC investments.

Ukraine has admitted that its troops are paying a "terrible price" for Artyomovsk because of mistakes in defense. Army Maj. Gen. Sergei Krivonos said that because of mistakes made, literally every scrap of land in the city is "covered in blood" of untrained and unprepared connoscripts:

"We are paying a terrible price for this city, and the issue is that some made mistakes and did not prepare the city for the necessary defense."

He added that there remains a problem with the training of the mobilized, which directly affects the situation in the city.

How to fail at diplomacy, the dummies' guide 101

"It is important that during meetings and official settings, the foreign party takes notice and care of the local culture, in the case of the Arabs - you never put a leg above another one, as it is considered a massive sign of disrespect, ESPECIALLY in the Middle East."

At least the Russians had the brains to take note of that one.

G7's “kamikaze-like export ban on Russia” would undermine prospects of peace, Global Times states.

"If such a decision is made, the world will only see severer energy, food and economic crises. In that case, no one would be the winner - neither Russia, Ukraine, the G7 nor the US. It would only plunge humanity into more global conflicts and problems," it stated.

Meanwhile, The Japan Times reports that Japan and the European Union have opposed a US proposal for the G7 to ban all exports to Russia.
