It was one of the largest scientific achievements in history, so much advancements in science and technology, which, started by the ego of a nation, became one that was for the supposed betterment of mankind.
The problem is, who won?

Most "Historians" agree that America "won" the race when it sent a man to the moon, which, while not a small feat by itself, was not enough to win the race in my opinion.
The USSR sent the first man, woman, dog, you name it, to space, it made the first space station, the first rotation, the first satellite, in short, alot more achievements and marks by the USSR than America, who's sole win during this whole race was "we sent a man to the moon."
Overall, the USSR probably won the space race, because it simply achieved more than what the USA did in the race.
But let's not forget, the USSR is the one that ceased to exist, the USA still does, and we all know history is written by victors.

Bernie Ecclestone: "I'd take a bullet for Vladimir Putin"
Mr Ecclestone, the former Formula 1 boss, was asked on ITV's Good Morning Britain if he still regards Mr Putin as a friend and he replied: "I'd still take a bullet for him. I'd rather it didn't hurt, but if it does I'd still take a bullet, because he's a first-class person."
"What he's doing is something that he believed was the right thing he was doing for Russia." - Mr Ecclestone added. Meanwhile he mocked Zelensky calling him a comedian.
Apparently, the show's hosts didn't like Ecclestone's comments. The photos of Putin shown on the air were hastily blurred.

🇹🇷🇸🇪🇫🇮In Turkish Diplomacy news, Ankara is not yet done with demands, it seems.
As per Erdogan, the Turkey parliament will not consider approval for NATO membership from Swedish & Finnish if they do not fulfill their demands to extradite Swedish & Finnish nationals of Kurdish extraction they accuse of terrorism.
That would mean a revision of their legal codes to allow for such extradition, and of course, debate on whether those people are actually terrorists or just opponents of Mr. Erdogan, debates which will roil Swedish politics for a long time to come if they abase themselves to do this.

The Washington Post has released a dramatic reportage of Ukrainian forces retreat from Severodonetsk and Lisichansk. It looks like western people are not interested in war in Ukraine anymore, so newsrooms have switched to the Hollywood film style to catch audience attention somehow.

📚What is Ukraine 🇺🇦? Part 1.
In one of my previous posts, I showed how Ukrainian authorities developed the most absurd theories of how great and superior their nation is, and successfully brainwashed their population with this for 30 years. If you haven't watched it yet, get ready to laugh. I may sound sarcastic, but it's hard to react any other way. https://news.1rj.ru/str/right2dissent/124
It's laughable how they're trying to rewrite history and make everything fit their theories. They do it to distance themselves from Russian culture and heritage. In this series, I'm going to write about Ukraine, and its history, not the "descendants of gods" theories.
Before the 20th century, there was no record of a country or state named "Ukraine." ❗️The modern country Ukraine is a purely 20th-century creation.
The term “Ukraine", which is an English word, is pronounced oo-kra-in-a, in Russian or Ukrainian languages. I'm not sure if I'm using the right word here, but I want to say that the term "Ukraine" was non-deterministic. It derives from the words such as:
Окраина (rus) - okraina - pronounced o-kra-in-a, meaning borderland.
People also used to say "У краины" (rus), meaning at the edge, or at the border. Pronounced oo-kra-i-ni.
Indeed, many lands west of the Dnieper River (that splits modern Ukraine) were Russia's Western borders. ❗️It should be noted that those were not defined territories. These lands were also listed/mentioned as a historical region.
In the 18th century, the Russian government referred to the term "a ukranian line", as a line of western defence with strongholds. Or "a ukrainian division", for the troops guarding those areas. This had nothing to do with ethnicity.
In Polish sources of the middle of the 17th century, there is a mention of suppression of Cossack's revolt. Those who suppressed the revolt were Hungarian mercenaries and Ukrainians (oo-kra-in-zi). This time, the term was used for the Polish noblemen called "Szlachta", who lived west of the Dnieper River. As can be seen, they used the term "Ukrainian" for the Poles living on the eastern border of Poland.
"Ukrainians" were also called Cossacks who revolted against the Polish king and then also betrayed the Russian Tzar.

In Kiev area, mined bridge was destroyed by a lightning strike
June 29 - Ukrainian officials say a mine explosion on Wednesday destroyed one of the bridges over the Irpina River. The explosion was triggered by a lightning strike that hit a mine attached to the bridge prop.
By the way, the tactics of mining bridges were a closely guarded secret. However, a lightning strike has accidentally revealed it.

NATO admits it’s been preparing for conflict with Russia since 2014
June 29 - NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told reporters on Wednesday that increases in military spending and rising numbers of troop deployments in Eastern Europe since 2014 were carried out in anticipation of a conflict with Russia.
Speaking after a meeting of NATO members and partner states in Madrid, Stoltenberg accused Moscow of “using force in the eastern Donbass since 2014” despite the fact that Kiev’s forces have been shelling cities in the region ever since the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics declared independence from Ukraine that year.
Nevertheless, Stoltenberg said that the US-led military bloc decided in 2014 to start beefing up its forces in Eastern Europe. “The reality is also that we have been preparing for this since 2014,” he stated.

If true, I hope at the very least they'll be stuck in logistical and non-combat roles, women are not built for front line combat with such an intensity
What do you think happens when you put a 50 kilograms worth of equipment on a woman's back and march for days? Her back will break like a fucking stick, will she be able to handle the cold, the hot, the shit mud? Such an environment and demand for hard work is simply not suited for them.
Although again, this is Ukraine we're talking about, they ran out of men quite a long time ago..

Lviv Region Preparing For Possible Invasion By Belarus
Lviv (Lvov) region is preparing for a possible invasion of Belarusian troops and is carrying out the necessary defensive measures. The first deputy head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Andrii Hodyk stated this a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine on Tuesday, June 28.
Our opinion: Belarus won't invade Ukraine. More likely, Lvivans just avoid going to Eastern Ukraine and fighting Russians. The residents of Eastern Ukraine are aliens for the residents of Western Ukraine. Obviously, Lvivans would never fight and die for Eastern Ukraine by good will. So, Lviv officials have made up a story about a fake invasion by Belarus.

Biden bolsters long-term U.S. military presence in Europe
June 29 - The United States will create a new permanent army headquarters in Poland and increase its long-term military presence across the length and breadth of Europe in response to threats from Russia, U.S. President Joe Biden said on Wednesday.
New U.S. warships will go to Spain, fighter jet squadrons to Britain, ground troops to Romania, air defense units to Germany and Italy and a wide range of assets to the Baltics, Biden announced at a NATO summit in Madrid.
The United States has not communicated its new deployment plans to Russia, and sees no requirement to do so, a senior U.S. official told reporters.
