New York Times correspondents visited the town of Chasov Yar, through which the Ukrainian grouping in Bakhmut is supplied.
According to Ukrainian soldiers, the situation in the town remains extremely difficult, with the AFU holding on to a small piece of land.

A happy addition came into the ranks of a unit in the Kharkiv region.
The mercenary told journalists that he had to serve in temperatures of -10 C°, it snowed in winter and everything was rather sad.

▪️Russian forces carried out massive strikes on Ukrainian army facilities in Kyiv, Kharkiv and Cherkasy region.
The attack involved the use of drones and missiles of various types.
▪️In Kyiv, air defense position areas were the main targets of the strikes.
At least one Patriot air defense system was destroyed despite active Western air defenses interception.
▪️Ukrainian forces used a drone strike to attack the town of Klintsy in the Bryansk Region.
Russian air defensea destroyed the UAV, with wreckage damaging several vehicles.
▪️Another Ukrainian drone dropped an explosive device on police vehicles in the village of Khoromnoe.
Two service vehicles were damaged as a result of the detonation of the munition.
▪️In the Belgorod region, AFU shelled the villages of Staryi Khutor and Nizhnie Melnitsy in the Valuysky district.
Presumably, the strike was carried out with incendiary shells from the Grad rocket launcher.
▪️In the west of Bakhmut, Wagner PMC units have made significant progress.
According to the leadership, the Nest fortified area entrenchment has completely passed under the control of the Russian forces.
