Zelensky accused the EU of artificially delaying 8 billion euros in aid to Ukraine

The European Union artificially delays macro-financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of eight billion euros. This was stated (4:08) by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

There's what he said:

Every day and in different ways I remind some leaders of the European Union countries that we cannot make hostages of their indecision or bureaucracy Ukrainian pensioners, our migrants, our teachers and our other people who depend on budget payments.

The 8 billion euros for Ukraine are stalled. Such an artificial delay of macrofinancial assistance for our state is a crime or a mistake. And it is difficult to say which is worse in a full-scale war.

Which European country is slowing this down, I don't want to name. I would like to believe that this is still a mistake and it will be corrected.

US efforts to weaken the Kremlin’s grip on global atomic power markets are foundering

US efforts to weaken the Kremlin’s grip on global atomic power markets are foundering, says Bloomberg. Since February, Russia’s Rosatom Corp. has begun work on Egypt’s first power reactor, advanced projects in Hungary and Turkey, and started new business from Myanmar to Uganda, deals worth billions of dollars.

Efforts to tighten restrictions on Rosatom, whose supervisory board includes two sanctioned officials, have stalled even amid Congressional demands the Biden administration cut US reliance on Russian nuclear fuel.

Russia provided almost a quarter of the fuel for 93 US reactors last year. The situation is equally tenuous in Europe, where Rosatom fuel generates electricity for 100 million people, mostly in ex-Soviet-satellite states.

“At any point in time Russia could cut in half the available global supply of nuclear fuel and the most exposed market in the world is the US.”

The West has already imposed almost all possible sanctions on Russia. Only very risky options remain, such as imposing a ceiling on Russian oil prices and confiscating seized Russian assets. But their effect could be devastating for the entire world economy. Meanwhile, Russia still has many trumps up its sleeve. Uranium supplies, for example.

Ukrainian terrorists shell Donetsk with air-blasted shells to maximize civilian casualties

The mayor of Donetsk, Aleksey Kulemzin, said that Ukrainian shells descended by parachute and exploded at a height of about 50 meters from the ground.

Presumably, these are Israeli M454 S-HE (Super High Explosive) shells, which have a caliber of 155 mm and are compatible with standard NATO guns.

An important feature of the M454 is a braking parachute that deploys to slow down the warhead as it approaches the target and detonate at the optimum height. The lethality declared by the manufacturer is 75% within a radius of 75 m from the point of explosion.

The exclusively terrorist approach of the Kyiv authorities to the conduct of the war with the civilian population of the east of Ukraine.

🇮🇱🇵🇸🇷🇺🇺🇦 Another case of “Nooooo you don't understand, — this is DIFFERENT!!!”

The Israeli army announced the beginning of a large-scale special operation in the Gaza sector.

“Our policy is unambiguous - the one who threatens us will be destroyed” - Israel's Ministry of Defense.

I’m interested, if USA, Canada, Japan, Australia and European countries will now also condemn Israel together, how did they recently condemn Russia for the special operation actions?

Although, why ask stupid question, we understand, is DIFFERENT)))). They can protect themselves wherever and whenever they want (like Americans, for example in Yugoslavia, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Grenada, Vietnam, etc..., (about a few dozens of countries according to the list)

P.S. By the way, I would like to separately hear the opinion of our traitors Makarevich and Galkin on this matter, who at this moment are both in Israel. How fundamental and consistent are they in their pacifist beliefs? Although, we already know, this is different))

CNN has broadcast a story about hundreds of Ukrainians moving to Russian-controlled territory. They take their family, pets, personal belongings and leave. It will be interesting to see how CNN will adapt this to their narrative, you can't have people abandoning the ship and call it a victory, afterall.

On August 4th, Amnesty International, a worldwide human rights organization, released an article exposing the AFU for using tactics like utilizing civilians as human shields.

The next day "The Times" newspaper accused them for acting like a mouthpiece for Russian propaganda, funny, isn't it?

By the way, Amnesty International are not going to zip their lips, so, there will be much more pain for Zelensky.

August 8 - The Pentagon on Monday said it is sending Ukraine an additional $1 billion in military assistance, including tens of thousands more munitions and explosives.

The new security assistance package includes ammunition for the high-mobility artillery rocket systems known as HIMARS and 75,000 howitzer rounds, as well as mortar systems, surface-to-air missiles, Javelin anti-armor missiles, Claymore mines and demolition explosives. It pushes the total U.S. military support for Ukraine past $9 billion since the war began, officials said.

“These are all critical capabilities to help the Ukrainians repel the Russian offensive in the east and also to address evolving developments in the south and elsewhere,” said Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Colin Kahl. He characterized the package as comprising the types of weaponry “the Ukrainian people are using so effectively to defend their country.”

Zelensky urges West to ban entry for all Russians

August 9 - Western countries should close their borders to all Russians, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky told The Washington Post newspaper.

According to him, "the most important sanctions are to close the borders — because the Russians are taking away someone else’s land." He said that Russians should "live in their own world until they change their philosophy." In his opinion, this should also involve those Russians who left the country protesting the government’s actions. "Whichever kind of Russian <… > make them go to Russia," he said.

In his opinion, the entire Russian population should be held responsible. "The population picked this government and they’re not fighting it, not arguing with it, not shouting at it," he noted. Zelensky also criticized the current sanctions as weak and ineffective.

Largest harbours for Ukrainian refugees

More than 6 million Ukrainian refugees were registered across Europe as of 3 August, according to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.

The following countries are clear leaders in terms of the number of migrants harboured:
- Russia (1.97 million);
- Poland (1.26 million);
- Germany (915,000);

So, one out of three refugees chose to leave for the "aggressor country". Puzzling, isn't it?

Bloomberg: UK Plans for Blackouts in January in Emergency Energy Plan

August 9 - The UK is making crisis plans for the winter which include the possibility of organised blackouts. Cold weather could combine with gas shortages to result in blackouts for businesses and households.

Under the UK government’s “reasonable worst-case scenario”, officials reportedly believe there could be blackouts on "several" days in January. It comes as forecasts show annual energy bills are set to top £4,200 from January, sparking fears of severe hardship without government intervention.

The reasonable worst-case scenario — which government sources insist are highly unlikely to materialise — would see the power shortfall total about a sixth of peak demand even if emergency plans to fire up retiring coal power plants came into force, according to Bloomberg. In that scenario, a reduction of electricity imports from Norway and France would see the UK government bring in emergency measures to conserve gas for four days in January.
