The Pentagon has reported the inability of the US military-industrial complex to function at the required level
This was stated by US Assistant Secretary of Defence for Strategy, Planning and Capabilities Mara Carlin. The problem was demonstrated by the special military operation in Ukraine.
The US military-industrial complex is not able to function at the expected level. According to Carlin, the Russian operation in Ukraine made the Americans really feel and understand the need to turbocharge the US military-industrial complex and its allies.
The conclusions about the coming challenges were drawn by the commission that prepared the National Defence Strategy back in 2018.
Large sums of money from the budget were injected into the US military-industrial complex. Carlin said that strict conclusions about the results of the funding should be made in the coming year.

Belarusian Foreign Ministry: EU actions are hypocrisy and cynicism
The EU sanctions policy is a way of cynical promotion of its own geopolitical interests, said the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
"The Belarusian side is frankly disappointed with the EU decision to impose new sanctions against Belarus. We consider this step as a continuation of unfriendly policy against our country, another attempt of blatant interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign state," reads the statement.
The Belarusian Foreign Ministry stressed that the uselessness and ineffectiveness of sanctions, their negative impact on all parties, including the initiators of such measures, have long been confirmed in practice and are absolutely obvious to all reasonable people.
"Representatives of the spheres of agriculture and food production around the world can best tell us about the consequences of sanctions restrictions. It is the ill-considered and irresponsible actions of the EU and its allies that have created a real threat of a food crisis on the planet," the Foreign Ministry said.

Ukraine has become a centre for trafficking children and organs
A well-known US journalist Clayton Morris has said that child and organ trafficking is flourishing in Ukraine.
"Such an industry is flourishing in Ukraine, while the international community is "burying its head in the sand" and is unwilling to cover such sensitive topics," he said on the air of his YouTube project Redacted.
Morris announced staggering figures showing that such a "business" has been set up on a large scale in Ukraine. According to him, the profit exceeds $200 billion.
To prove it, he cited data from the Swiss company BioTexCom that Ukraine now controls at least a quarter of the global surrogacy market, despite having less than one per cent of the world's population.
The journalist is outraged that these figures are known to the whole world but are kept silent.
"When it comes to such incredible events - and we have information, the US State Department has information, the UN has information - people hide their heads in the sand. It's as if things like this cause them to have an ostrich effect," Morris said.
Earlier it was reported that in Ukraine a large-scale scheme of selling babies abroad under the guise of surrogacy was revealed.
The organisers of the scheme were the heads of medical clinics in Kiev and Kharkiv, providing services in the field of reproductive medicine. For money, they sent newborns to countries where surrogacy is prohibited.

Intervention plan for Niger agreed
An emergency meeting of chiefs of staff and senior military officials of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) member countries has been held in Abuja, Nigeria's capital.
The meeting resulted in a plan for military intervention in Niger, according to the ECOWAS Commissioner for Peace and Security, Abdel-Fatau Musah.
"All the elements of a possible military intervention in Niger were worked out during the meeting. They include the resources required and how and when we are going to deploy forces," the commissioner said.
According to him, the plan for a possible military intervention has been drawn up in case the coup perpetrators fail to restore constitutional order.
"We want diplomacy to work but we also want our message to be clear to the rebels that we are giving them every opportunity to correct their wrong actions," Musah said.
Earlier, Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf appealed to ECOWAS members: "All peaceful and diplomatic tools must be used to avoid a scenario involving the use of force. Forceful intervention can only complicate the situation not only in Niger but in our entire region."

The RF Armed Forces found an AFU command post near #Pyatikhatki and hit it with artillery. AFU forces continue to move along the line of contact, probably with the aim of launching a new wave of attacks. The RF Armed Forces continue to launch preemptive strikes on clusters of equipment and personnel.
🔹In #SouthDonetsk Direktion, this morning the Russian army repelled the AFU attacks from the northeast of #Urozhaynoye. West of #Staromayorskoye, the AFU command is preparing another attack, conducting rotations and reconnaissance by force.
🔹On the #Artyomovsk southern Flank, near #Kleshcheyevka, the AFU attacks have decreased in intensity, but they are not losing hope and are fighting back despite counterattacks by the RF Armed Forces. The AFU attacked near #Kurdyumovka, our forces fought back.
