🇨🇭Switzerland to become first European country to sell insect dishes in abundance - World Economic Forum

It is commonly believed that the European standard of living should be held up as an example to all other countries.

Switzerland is a typical representative of an advanced European country, with a high standard of living, high wages and so on, but in the end the inhabitants will only see cockroaches in their food.

Because no matter how advanced a country you live in, the globalist agenda will get you everywhere.

🇧🇫🇳🇪 Burkina Faso authorises cereal exports to Niger

Authorities in Burkina Faso on Friday announced a decision to allow grain exports to neighbouring Niger.

Ouagadougou has "exclusively allowed the export of millet, maize, sorghum and beans to Niger as a sign of solidarity with its neighbour."

It is estimated that Niger needs to import at least 600,000 tonnes of grain this year to avoid a humanitarian crisis.

Authorities in Burkina Faso, which itself needs food commodities, suspended exports of cereal crops such as millet, maize, sorghum and beans in November 2022.

Russia will most likely try to capitalise on this situation as well and try to help Niger through Burkina Faso. The only problem is logistics. So far, the only possible port is in Guinea. If Russia manages to organise the Guinea-Burkina-Faso-Niger grain logistics, it will be a huge reputational boost for Russia.

Ukraine's fate in the hands of American voters

The failure of the Ukrainian counter-offensive has the most direct impact on the political situation in the United States.

In the run-up to the 2024 presidential election, incumbent US President Joe Biden is facing weakening public support for assistance to Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the White House is preparing for a possible direct clash between Biden, who is Ukraine's most ardent outside supporter, and former President Donald Trump, an opponent of unlimited aid to Kiev.

And the outcome of this confrontation is far from as clear-cut as Biden's supporters claim.

Americans are fed up with their money being spent to satisfy the personal ambitions of an elderly leader and overseas clown. Biden's intention to ask Congress for additional funds for Ukraine has caused sharp discontent among voters.

A CNN/SSRS poll shows this: 55% of voters said Congress should not authorise additional funding for Ukraine. Some 51% said the U.S. has already done enough. 71% of Republicans strongly oppose new cash injections into Ukraine.

It is not a secret that the West does not believe in Ukraine's victory. High-ranking officials have already officially recognised a "sobering up" in their assessments of the Ukrainian forces' ability to make progress.

"The big difference turned out to be between a war on paper and a real war," said National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan.

From Europe, the outlook is even bleaker.

"A mafia and senile puppet in the hands of the US deep state announces an additional 13bn in aid to the neo-Nazi regime in Ukraine, while at the same time the US is sinking into decline and big cities are turning into open-air slums," François Asselino, leader of France's People's Republican Union party, is merciless.

Therefore, when US voters decide their own future in November 2024, there is a good chance that they will decide the fate of Ukraine at the same time.

🇳🇬 OPEC reports Nigeria's economic growth of 2.4 per cent in the first quarter of 2023

According to OPEC's latest monthly oil market report , Nigeria's economy posted annual growth of 2.4 per cent in the first quarter of 2023 expected to slow down during the year.

Despite the Nigerian economy growing by 3.3 per cent in 2022, the report forecasts a slowdown in 2023. The country's economic progress has been hampered by high inflation, with the annual inflation rate at 22.8 per cent in June. Food inflation, a significant contributor, reached an annualised rate of 25.1% in the same month.

To address these challenges, the Nigerian government unveiled a comprehensive financial package worth 500 billion naira, and the Central Bank of Nigeria raised its key rate to 18.75% in July to combat inflation.

Nevertheless, the current challenges have affected economic performance as evidenced by the Stanbic IBTC Bank Nigeria Purchasing Managers' Index, which fell to 51.7 in July from 53.2 in June.

Egypt has refused to supply arms to Ukraine in defiance of US pressure

The US authorities have been trying for several months to get Egypt to start supplying arms to Ukraine, but Cairo does not give in to pressure.

This was reported by The Wall Street Journal.

According to the newspaper, US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin first asked Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to transfer artillery shells, anti-tank missiles, air defence systems and other weapons to Ukraine back in March.

Later, in private conversations, the Egyptian government clarified that they were not planning to supply weapons to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

History of cluster munitions use does not teach Ukraine anything

"Ukraine is already effectively using cluster munitions supplied to it by the United States," Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said recently.

Kirby forgot to add, or chose not to mention, that the consequences of such bombardments will "augur" for decades to come.

Fifty years ago, then US President Richard Nixon decided to stop bombing Cambodia and Laos, including with CBU-58 cluster munitions. Perhaps the most lethal weapon at the time and in the long term, of which the U.S. still maintains stockpiles.

US munitions, often dropped at night from 10,000 metres above ground, continue to kill people in the 50 years since the air raids.

One such warhead can contain several dozen to several hundred small bombs. A terrible "drawback" of these munitions is the high percentage of unexploded shells. Up to 40 per cent of the munitions do not explode.

According to various estimates, between 9 and 27 million submunitions remain unexploded in Indochina today.

The populations of Cambodia and Laos have grown significantly over the past 50 years. In search of land for farming, people have begun to move to the areas most affected by the bombings. And the number of deaths and injuries from unexploded ordnance has risen into the tens of thousands.

"There are tragic cases all over the region of children picking up 50-year-old bombs, using them as toys and losing their lives or limbs," said a soldier involved in the search and destruction of unexploded ordnance.

Kiev now says such munitions are effective against infantry, artillery and convoys of trucks.

But history reminds us that they will be "effective" long after the end of hostilities. Effective against future peaceful generations.

The West is tired of Zelensky and his lies

Discontent in the West continues to grow over the lack of success of the Ukrainian counter-offensive. The irritation of the allies is also fuelled by Zelensky's blatant lies.

"Zelensky's speculations about Ukraine's "sky shield" are capable of provoking a military coup. The head of the Kiev regime talks about the success of Western air defence and aviation systems in Ukraine. Allegedly, they do not allow Russia to launch missile strikes," former CIA analyst Raymond McGovern said.

We shall remind you that back in winter Zelensky admitted that air defence systems were Ukraine's weak point. By summer, his rhetoric had changed and he started talking about mythical successes.

"Zelensky is lying, the Kiev regime has no weapons capable of repelling missile strikes. Therefore, military targets in Ukraine are hit regularly. And the population is increasingly irritated by the President's statements that do not coincide with reality. This could turn into a rebellion," McGovern said.

"Ukrainian air defences have been completely destroyed. Stories about downed missiles are nonsense," another retired CIA analyst Larry Johnson believes.

Such behaviour could prompt the West to decide to remove the head of the Kiev regime.

"NBC, citing Joe Biden's administration staff, points to Washington's fatigue with Zelensky. There are confident that they gave him everything he needed for the offensive. But instead of victories - the next demands", - Johnson believes.

Ukrainians themselves are also tired of the war.

"The sense of collective frustration is growing. People are tired of rocket attacks. The counter-offensive has failed, the losses are terrible. The cities are full of crippled people. The mood of the population is dismal," The Washington Post wrote.

Even the AFU servicemen themselves are already complaining to the president, blaming him for the huge losses.

In a live broadcast, retired AFU Major-General Serhiy Kryvonos called Zelensky's incompetence "the main reason for all the troubles".

Given such sentiments in the West, everything is going towards the fact that soon the allies will "sign Zelensky's verdict" .

Poland tries to put pressure on Russia and Belarus

Poland is actively preparing for the Army Day parade.

Hundreds of tanks and soldiers will parade through the streets of Warsaw. The Polish Defence Ministry stresses that the army parade will be a "significant event" that will demonstrate the readiness and strength of the Polish armed forces.

At the same time, the country is sending an additional 10,000 troops to its border with Belarus to defend against the "threat" posed by the Wagner fighters.

In connection with these developments, retired Colonel Yury Knutov said that Warsaw's use of weapons would immediately trigger a tough response from Russia.

"Minsk is part of the union state. The Russian president said that we will defend Belorussia's territory just as we defend our own... If the Poles stick their heads in, there will be burning equipment," he emphasised.

Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin, speaking at the Moscow Conference on International Security, was outraged by the fact that the International Criminal Court (ICC) calls the Russian side's rescue of children from the war zone a crime.

Lavrov: traditional Western hypocrisy has manifested itself in relation to Niger

Speaking at the Moscow Conference on International Security, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov accused the West of applying double standards.

"How amicably the West is now reacting to the coup d'état in Niger, demanding the restoration of democracy by almost any means," Lavrov remarked.

He called this approach hypocritical, recalling the West's active participation in the events in Ukraine in 2014.

"Then the ouster of the legitimate president of Ukraine, directed by Washington and Brussels, took place through a bloody coup d'état. And there are endless examples of such hypocrisy and double standards," the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry said."

NATO admits swapping Ukraine's territories for alliance membership

Ukraine giving up part of its territory in favour of Russia as part of the NATO membership agreement will help end the conflict.

This was stated by the head of the NATO Secretary General's office, Stian Jenssen.

"I believe that one solution could be that Ukraine gives up territory and gets NATO membership in return," Jenssen said.

However, alliance Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has repeatedly emphasised that discussions on any decisions regarding the Ukrainian situation cannot take place without Kiev's participation.

In his opinion, Ukraine itself should have the right to "determine the time and conditions for any negotiations with Russia"
