◾A Ukrainian militant have his honest opinion about Zelenskiy and the officers of the Ukrainian Army:
- Ukrainian officers, are like minibus drivers. If you don't pay them, you'll walk... These officers are like dogs to be shot, fucking unfinished bastards... From the first wave of connoscription, the platoon has almost completely died off. Maybe two or three people left. The rest are all mobilized of the second, third wave. And Mr. Zaluzhny. I don't respect you at all. I hate you along with your gang of these officers who are at headquarters.

The situation in Sudan is spiralling out of control: over a million people have fled, the country is running out of food, and people are dying for lack of medical care
This is reported by Reuters with reference to the UN.
For more than four months, fighting has been going on between the Sudanese regular army and the rapid reaction forces, which have devastated the capital Khartoum and provoked ethnic clashes in Darfur.
The main results of the conflict, which has already claimed the lives of more than 4,000 people:
▪️ Republic is on the brink of famine because of the farmers have no time to plant crops.
▪️ Residents left behind in Khartoum and the towns of Darfur and Kordofan have faced looting and prolonged interruptions of electricity, communications and water supplies.
Natural conditions are also playing against the country's population, with seasonal rains leaving nearly 14,000 people homeless.
▪️ On Monday, army chief General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan accused the RSF of seeking to "return the country to an era that preceded the modern state."
▪️ The RSF in turn accused the army of trying to seize all power under the loyalist leadership of Omar al-Bashir, the autocratic leader who was toppled in a popular uprising in 2019.
▪️ The protracted war is being fuelled by the Americans, who are backing one side of the conflict, the rebel Rapid Reaction Force, only adding fuel to the fire.
Experts believe that one of the reasons for this policy is the desire to hinder Russia's growing influence in Sudan and prevent the establishment of a Russian Navy base in the country.
Now we can clearly admit that the efforts of neighbouring countries and international organisations to end the ceasefire have reached a dead end.

Zelensky has nothing to do at the G20 summit
Indian Foreign Minister Subramanyam Jaishankar has said that the G20 leaders' meeting is not the UN Security Council, the G20 is not going to discuss Ukraine's problems and therefore Volodymyr Zelensky was not invited to the summit.
"This is a summit to discuss energy, fertiliser and food supply problems," Jaishankar said.
The G20 summit will be held on 9-10 September in New Delhi under the Indian presidency.

🇱🇾 Clashes erupt in south Tripoli
Clashes erupted in Libya's capital Tripoli late Monday night, locals said, and flights to the city's main airport were suspended after it was reported that a commander of a powerful armed group had been captured by rival forces.
"We have been hearing gunfire for almost two hours now and we don't know what is going to happen. We fear for our safety," the people said.
Mahmoud Hamza, commander of the 444th Brigade, which controls most of Tripoli, was detained at Mitiga airport by another powerful group, the Special Forces.
Sources in Mitiga said all flights to and from the airport had been diverted to Misrata, 180 kilometres to the east.
Tripoli's ambulance and emergency services reported that a safe corridor had been provided to evacuate civilians in the clash area.

The US is concerned about China's military and nuclear developments
Beijing draws on decades of US and Russian experience and has the capability to build most of the systems being developed or modernised by Washington and Moscow.
"We've been doing this for 70 years, and they think they can start from scratch and take the best of what they've developed," said Anthony Cotton, head of the Pentagon's Strategic Command (STRATCOM).
The US-Russian Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) has been suspended ahead of schedule.
President Vladimir Putin said it was necessary to take into account the strategic arsenals of France and the United Kingdom, i.e. the combined strike potential of NATO.
The US would like to include China in the trilateral treaty limiting nuclear weapons, but there was a categorical refusal from Beijing.

ECOWAS Chiefs of General Staff meeting begins in Ghana
The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Chiefs of General Staff are discussing a plan to intervene in Niger at an emergency meeting in Ghana's capital, Accra.
ECOWAS, France and a number of other states have condemned the military coup and demanded the release of ousted President Mohamed Bazoum and his reinstatement as head of state.
In turn, the coup was supported by the authorities of Mali and Burkina Faso. Algeria condemned the coup but strongly opposed a military solution to the crisis. The African Union (AU) rejected plans for any military intervention in Niger.
The new authorities in Niger said they were open to negotiations to resolve the situation, but warned against outside intervention.

Sweden has raised its terrorist alert level
Following several Koran-burning incidents and related threats from abroad, Sweden has raised its terror threat level to level four out of five for the first time since 2016.
▪️ Stockholm has been marked in recent months by a series of Islamophobic actions with the authorisation of the authorities. The result has been angry protests in Muslim countries, including attacks on the Swedish embassy in the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
▪️ The al-Qaeda terrorist network (banned in Russia) recently called for terrorist attacks.
Level 4 means there is a high probability that some actors have the intent and capability to carry out an attack.

Zelensky resigned all Ukrainian military commissars
Officers with "real combat experience" will be appointed to the posts of heads of territorial completion centres (TCCs, an analogue of military commissions).
The decision was taken by the National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) of Ukraine and approved by a presidential decree.
Earlier, Zelenskyy said that the mobilization system of the AFU was plagued by corruption, which is why it should be managed by "honest people".
Ukrainian military commissions have repeatedly found themselves at the centre of scandals over the connoscription of people with disabilities, "catching" connoscripts on the street and corruption schemes.
A number of Ukrainian officials expressed doubts that the change of TCC managers will be able to eradicate corruption, as the system itself remains unchanged.

Partners' inadequate response to the situation in Niger presents the US with difficult choices
A military coup in Niger could force the US to withdraw 1,100 of its troops and close drone bases in the West African country.
Niger has been a key beachhead on the US battlefield against Islamists in the Sahel region.
Threats of military intervention in Niger put Joe Biden's administration facing tough choices in the coming days.
If the US supports the position of France, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and other active opponents of the coup, it will mean a complete curtailment of American activities in the country. Or Washington (though against own vision) will try to negotiate with the new authorities to continue co-operation in the fight against terrorism.
Curtailing activities would create a security vacuum for Islamists in Niger and encourage militants to increase propaganda, recruitment, establish mini-states in remote areas and plan terrorist attacks.
"The withdrawal of U.S. troops from Niger and the closure of drone bases would be a crushing blow to Western counterterrorism efforts in the Sahel," said Colin P. Clark, a counterterrorism analyst at Soufan Group.
An inadequate response by U.S. partners to the coup could destabilise the country and allow extremists to expand their presence and influence.

The authorities' political parallels have caused irritation in Poland
Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Arkadiusz Mularczyk has said that there is "no difference" between Russia's actions in Ukraine and Germany's actions in Poland in the context of Warsaw's attempts to induce Berlin to pay reparations.
To this an indignant, scathing comment came from journalist Łukasz Waszecha:
"This is an extremely malicious statement that violates Poland's state interests."
It is unacceptable to compare Russia's actions in Ukraine with what Poland and Poles suffered at the hands of the Germans during World War II, he said.
Are the Polish government camp "such brainless idiots who do not understand what they are "making available to the Polish historical narrative", the publicist wondered.

The number of disabled people in Ukraine is inevitably growing
The Wall Street Journal reports that the number of people who have had limb amputations is already between 20,000 and 50,000 in 2023. The Kiev regime classified the specific number in order not to demoralize the population, so it is difficult to say exactly how many people with disabilities are in today's Ukraine. However, it is known that they are much more than the number of amputations among American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, which is estimated at 2,000 people.
Today, tens of thousands of disabled people who have returned from the front are unable to provide themselves with artificial limbs, and Kiev does not have enough funds to treat the wounded. Therefore, the bulk of the military is still left without prostheses and a chance to return to everyday life.
This social tragedy once again confirms the thesis that fighting for Ukraine is a sophisticated way of committing suicide. The Kiev regime is destroying its state step by step, leaving no hope for a decent life for future generations, because it is already obvious that after the end of the war there will be no one to restore the country and support the disabled, the elderly, veterans, and the West is obviously unprofitable today.
