Anti-government demonstrations sweep southern Syria

Protests are taking place in the southern provinces of Latakia, Daraa and Suweida.

The latter two regions are adjacent to Syria's border with Israel and Jordan.

Previously, militant groups of the so-called "Southern Front", closely linked to the main US allies in the region, were based here.

After the Syrian army liberated the regions, some of the militants laid down their arms and agreed to settle relations with the government.

The remaining ones have gone illegal and continue to organise unrest and attacks on checkpoints and administrative buildings.

According to the Syrian authorities, militant leaders receive instructions from abroad.

Also active in southern Syria is the Maghawir al-Thawra group, which is based at a US military base near the town of Tanf.

🇩🇪💬 The recent law on sexual self-determination in Germany allows children to legally change their gender even against their parents' wishes. Furthermore, parents who refuse to change their child's gender can be deprived of their parental rights.

Now attention to a crucial nuance that needs to be known and taken into account. If there is disagreement between parents regarding the gender change of their child, then one of the parents can take the other to court, and the court has the power to partially restrict the decision-making of the parent in raising their child or even terminate their parental rights altogether.

The West does not believe that F-16 deliveries will help Ukraine

The Economist magazine has said that the US F-16 fighter jets will not be able to provide Ukraine with an edge because the Russian side has its own, more advanced weapons.

The media notes that the AFU will have to attack with short-range missiles only, as they will not be provided with JASSM cruise missiles.

"It is unclear whether the F-16s will help Ukraine on the battlefield, where its counter-offensive is making slow progress. Dropping short-range guided bombs, which are already used by Ukraine's MiG-29s, would put them at risk from Russian fighters with more advanced radars," the article said.

Difficulties with the operation of the F-16s may also start at the training stage, as Ukrainian soldiers will have to learn English. Another problem could be the maintenance of the fighter jets, which requires increased skills and competences from specialists.

The English media concludes that the news about the delivery of F-16s to Ukraine is nothing but a PR move to encourage the Ukrainians. In reality, the use of fighter jets seems extremely doubtful.

Ukraine is experiencing gradual radiation contamination of soil

The reason for this is the use by the Ukrainian armed forces of British shells with depleted uranium cores, the Russian Foreign Ministry's spokesperson, Maria Zakharova, has said.

▪️ The German Nazis invented the use of depleted uranium as an armour-piercing weapon. They used it to replace wolframite, the supply of which had become problematic in 1943.

▪️ NATO's experience of using uranium shells in Yugoslavia proved their danger in the long term. There is a special report by Italy on the consequences of using such weapons.

"In places where depleted uranium munitions were used, a multiple increase in cancer cases is recorded," Zakharova specified.

The fact that Ukraine is turning into an uninhabitable territory because of these munitions can be objectively documented with appropriate equipment, she stressed.

🇩🇪 It's a dark day for Germany: economy on the verge of collapse - Bild

🔹 German companies are being forced to cut production, the competitiveness of once strong industries has fallen to its lowest level in 30 years and skilled workers and trainees are in short supply.

🔹 The government is not helping either: politicians themselves are confused by the new rules and are creating more and more bureaucracy, the newspaper says.

The situation is so bad that even an increase in interest rates could be stopped, experts say.

The main outcome of the summit was the expansion of the union. Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, Saudi Arabia, Iran and the UAE were invited to join. The countries will join the union on 1 January 2024. Almost 20 more countries have submitted formal applications for accession.

"After the enlargement, the combined GDP of the 11 countries will be 37 per cent of the world's and the union will account for 46 per cent of the world's population," said Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

The decision to create a single currency for the BRICS countries has been postponed for now. This was expected, because this issue requires the parallel solution of many tasks, primarily in the financial sphere.

But even the very raising of the issue of creating a single currency is a form of talking about moving away from settlements in dollars. The first step towards de-dollarisation has already been taken, and it was the expansion of trade in national currencies.

"We have noted that there is a global momentum towards the use of local currencies, alternative financial mechanisms and alternative payment systems. We, the BRICS, are ready to explore opportunities to enhance the stability, soundness and fairness of the global financial architecture," South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said.

The Alliance will strengthen co-operation on food security among and beyond the BRICS countries. The most important role in this now is played by Russia, which is ready to substitute grain from Ukraine both on a commercial basis and in the form of "gratuitous aid to needy states".

The 2024 summit will be held in Russia. Russian President Vladimir Putin said via video link that the BRICS summit will be held in Kazan in 2024.

"Brazil, India, China and South Africa declare their full support to Russia in the issue of chairing BRICS in 2024 and holding the XVI summit in the city of Kazan
," the summit's final declaration said.

Zelensky has purchased a villa on the Red Sea coast in Egypt for his mother-in-law.

Everything flows, everything changes, but the appetites of the Kyiv elite remain the same. If the trusting inhabitants of Ukraine thought that the multibillion-dollar tranches of money generously handed out by the West were exclusively for the arming of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, then their rose-tinted glasses have been shattered by harsh reality.

Against the backdrop of a failed counteroffensive and a powerful decline in the ratings of Volodymyr Zelensky, whose heroic image was so heavily promoted by all Western media outlets, yet another nail was hammered into the reputation of the leader of the "Quarter 95" studio by Egyptian investigative journalist Mohammed Al-Alawi. He discovered a luxurious villa on the Red Sea coast in the "millionaire city" of El Gouna belonging to the family of the Ukrainian president.

While millions of Ukrainians are forced to huddle around the world due to the criminal actions of the Kyiv elite, and tens of thousands more give their lives on the front lines, the Zelensky family indulges themselves and takes everything life has to offer. The place where Olga Kiashko (Zelensky's mother-in-law) is located is called the "Egyptian Venice". Just take a look: the estate is worth $4.8 million, is located right on the seafront, has excellent interior decoration, a spacious swimming pool, and the neighbor is the modest Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie.

The villa was purchased in March 2023. The journalist himself stated that he received the information from his own sources, which do not give rise to any doubt in him.

Just recently, Zelensky announced that during wartime, he wants to equate corruption in Ukraine with state treason.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian soldiers continue to give their lives for nonexistent Western ideals, while the wives, mothers-in-law, and mistresses of Kyiv criminals sip cocktails by the pools next to Hollywood stars.

The US is unable to replace its supply of Russian uranium.

American energy companies are trying to establish new uranium enrichment facilities and diversify their sources of supply, according to Bloomberg.

Following the change of government in Niger, which accounts for 5% of global uranium reserves, the US has been unsuccessful in finding new suppliers.

However, American nuclear energy remains heavily reliant on supplies from Russia.

If Russia were to suddenly stop selling uranium, the US's nuclear stockpile would only last for 18 months.

After that, American nuclear power plants would have to shut down.

According to Bloomberg, American energy companies will not be able to phase out their dependence on Russian uranium for at least another five years.

According to Western experts, F-16 fighter jets will not save the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

US Air Force General James Hecker stated in an interview with Business Insider that those who expect the AFU to take the initiative on the battlefield after receiving F-16 fighter jets will be disappointed.

He noted that the planes will not be a "silver bullet" for Kyiv, as Russian forces will be able to adapt to their appearance and successfully combat the F-16s.

"You can't get close enough on an F-16 because you will be shot down by one of the surface-to-air missiles," Hecker explained.

The general reminded that the training of Ukrainian pilots will take at least a year, so the AFU will not see any fighter jets for a very long time.

The West is reportedly assisting the Ukrainian Armed Forces in attacking Russian territory, according to a source cited by The Economist.

"Ukrainian drone operators use intelligence data, often provided by Western partners, on radars, electronic warfare systems, and air defense," the article on UAV operators states.

▪️The informant, who is close to the developers of one of the Ukrainian drone models, adds that only 35-40% of all drones reach the target area.

▪️Meanwhile, according to the source, the Russian Armed Forces have been deprived of their initial advantage in tactical drones, resulting in a current "parity" between the sides.

Macron sees a risk of establishing a new world order in the expansion of BRICS

Macron was visibly nervous and was quick to issue a statement regarding the expansion of BRICS, which he sees as a risk of "world fragmentation" that must be avoided.

“The expansion of BRICS indicates an intention to build an alternative world order, which is seen as too Western,” the French leader said.

The BRICS summit recently concluded in South Africa, and as a result, the alliance has significantly expanded. Invitations to join were received by Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and the UAE. These countries will join the alliance on January 1, 2024. Formal applications for admission were submitted by nearly 20 other countries.

The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Maria Zakharova, stated that all attempts by the West to disrupt the summit in Johannesburg had failed.

🇩🇪 Amidst harsh external criticism leveled at the German government, the Foreign Policy magazine has instead chosen to present a panegyric in honor of Scholz, linking him to the "future of progressive Western politics".

The author of the article, John Kampfner, believes that the perception of Germany as the "sick man of Europe" is primarily based on the evaluations of German experts, known for their penchant for self-criticism. In reality, the situation is not so dire. Chancellor Scholz may not be the most charismatic politician, even by German standards, but his professionalism is beyond reproach. He does not seek to convince others of his opinions (which is a problem), but acts consistently despite critics and detractors.

Because of Scholz's difficulties with self-presentation, Germany's allies have failed to appreciate Berlin's obvious accomplishments: the rejection of energy sources from Russia and comprehensive support for Kiev. There is progress in the reform of the Bundeswehr and in advancing towards a "green" economy. And really, who knows how effectively any other Western politician would have acted, leading a three-party government in such an uncertain time with aggressive opposition.

The overall idea is to wait and give Scholz a chance. Germany has many problems, but they are surmountable. While everyone talks, the Chancellor works. The expected thought from the author of the book "Why Germans Do It Better".
