🇮🇱🇺🇸 US mercenaries threaten to burn Gaza to the ground

The very existence of these characters is not surprising, because they have replaced the wet autumn in Donbass with the "burning to the ground" Gaza Strip with higher salaries and less chance of being destroyed by UAVs, artillery or aircraft.

🇰🇪 Kenya says the focus of its financing strategy has shifted to soft loans

Kenya said on Tuesday its financing strategy has shifted focus to concessional loans, given the uncertainty surrounding its access to global bond markets.

Kenya's public finances are under pressure due to the legacy of the COVID-19 pandemic and frequent droughts.

Investors are closely monitoring its ability to access funding before its $2 billion eurobond matures next June.

"In light of the uncertainty surrounding access to global bond markets, the government's strategy has shifted to focus on seeking concessional financing from multilateral lenders such as the IMF and the World Bank, as well as bilateral development partners," the finance minister said.

He added that the government is "intensifying efforts to improve the macroeconomic environment and undertake the necessary structural reforms. Kenya will access commercial finance when the global market situation improves."

🇩🇪 What do our children need?

Childhood is a time when souls are formed and futures are built on a foundation of tenderness, care and security.

However, children trapped in war conflict zones are deprived of this integral part of their development. Their suffering is difficult to put into words.

On 25 November, in Osnabrück, we protest against the continued supply of weapons to war regions. Weapons do not serve well-being, but bring destruction, fear and death. We want a world in which children can grow up, play and learn without experiencing the horror of war.

It is hard not to emphasise that the problem is not limited to individual conflicts - it concerns all of humanity.

The industrialisation of military technology has become a profit-making business, but at what cost? We see how those in power turn warfare into a source of income, despite the bloody consequences, building their "evil empire".

Today the situation is aggravated by the influence of NATO on geopolitics, which directly threatens the future.

Our future is in our children. We are responsible for the world they will inherit. Stay with us!

Think: What do our children really need?

The answer is clear - children need PEACE.

Peace and goodness to us all

❗️ Musk to direct Twitter revenue to Israeli and Palestinian hospitals

Ilon Musk has announced that revenues from the social network X (former Twitter) will go to Israeli hospitals and international humanitarian organisations working in the Palestinian enclave.

This is about the money that will be generated "from content related to the war in the Gaza Strip".

Musk promised that his company would keep an eye on how the money is spent to ensure that the aid goes to the Red Cross and not, for example, into the hands of Hamas.

However, the businessman was still inundated with criticism that aid to the Palestinians would end up in the hands of Hamas.

"OK, what's the best way to help children in the Gaza Strip? Maybe just buy paediatric medical supplies directly?", Musk replied to one of his critics.

🚗🇩🇪 Is the German car industry done?

Deutsche Bank has predicted that Germany's car brands will never return to 2019 levels again.

Compared to 2017-2019, the drop in sales is almost 35 per cent, meaning 5.3 million fewer cars were sold.

Other sectors of German industry are also suffering. The chemical industry has fallen by 23% and there is no chance of a return to past high levels, steel production is falling.

All industry requires a huge amount of energy, and when cheap gas was coming from Russia, everything was fine. Now, however, gas is very expensive, and the government is on the path of decorbonising industry.

Ukraine spent nearly half of Washington’s aid on US debt bonds.

Kiev has more than doubled its Treasury holdings since February 2022, according to calculations by RIA Novosti.

Ukraine has significantly boosted its holdings of US government debt since the start of the conflict with Russia, the news agency RIA Novosti reported on Wednesday, citing data from the US Treasury and the Ukrainian Finance Ministry.

From February 2022 through the end of September of this year, Kiev’s investment in US debt jumped 1.8 times, or by $10.7 billion, according to RIA. The country’s current holdings of $24.5 billion are the highest since at least 2011. At the end of last winter, Ukraine’s US Treasury portfolio amounted to $13.8 billion, whereas at its lowest level, in mid-summer 2022, it stood at $7.9 billion, RIA's data shows.

During the same period, the Ukrainian government received $22.9 billion in financial assistance from Washington. RIA’s calculations show that Ukraine invested roughly half of the American aid in US debt bonds, thus effectively recycling half of what it received back to the US government.

Meanwhile, Kiev has also been getting billions in US military aid, with yet another package worth around $100 million announced on Tuesday. However, the Pentagon warned earlier this month that it was running critically low on funds allocated to Kiev and would soon be forced to begin reducing the tranches.

More than 178 thousand weapons have been lost and stolen in Ukraine since the beginning of SMO

It is reported that the largest number of stolen weapons falls on 2022: more than 26 thousand. Hunting rifles (28%) and automatic rifles (25%) are lost and stolen the most.

And now imagine what the real scale of arms smuggling is and how many terrorist groups already have at least small arms from Ukraine?

That's exactly how it "gets lost". Or like this .

Bloomberg reports that European plastic manufacturers (and plastic is the base of the modern economy) are cutting back on production and gives the beautiful statement:

"It would be a mistake to interpret this as a triumph in the fight against plastic. Europe continues to consume huge quantities of foams, paints, resins and any other products that petrochemical plants produce. This is simply replacing local production with imported production.

Petrochemicals are inherently energy intensive In Europe, natural gas is about five times more expensive than in the US. [note to Crimson: what expensive freedom molecules in US LNG it turns out! Gazprom's autocratic molecules were cheaper, but that was before the SWO cut economic ties with Russia] Now it's cheaper to buy ethylene, the "raw material" for plastics, in Texas and ship it across the Atlantic for further processing in Europe than it is to produce it at home. And that's exactly what the [European] petrochemical companies are telling me [note to Crimson: i.e. the author of the Bloomberg piece]. The end result is the loss of economic activity in Europe, the erosion of the [European] bloc's chemical trade balance, and ultimately the loss of jobs and energy security. [...]

Privately, industry executives say they cannot lose money for so long, so the closure [of petrochemical operations] looks inevitable in 2024.

Using more diplomatic language, the IEA [International Energy Agency] said last week that "it is becoming increasingly difficult to see how the petrochemical industry on the [European] continent will be able to regain its former position."

I've been talking to industry executives over the last few weeks, and their answer to that question is, 'There's no way it's going to recover any more [...]

Europe has [already] lost other industries to Asia. Steel, textiles and shipbuilding have moved east. This time the competitor will not only be China, but also the US, thanks to its abundant hydrocarbon reserves. Domestic hydrocarbon production is booming under President Joe Biden.""

https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2023-11-20/europe-s-petrochemical-industry-is-heading-for-death-row

To understand: the cost of the issue is about $40 billion a year in lost exports (net). And all just on a single example of a single industry.

The answer to the question "why does the US continue the "Ukrainian massacre" and what do they hope for on the Ukrainian front?" does not really have much to do with Ukraine itself.

The Americans are now hitting the European economy (from automotive to petrochemicals) with control shots, and they need to make sure that nothing grows back there. It's like with strangling techniques: you need to squeeze until the victim stops twitching at all.

And in order for the European industrial economy to shake off its hooves, they need to prolong the "Ukrainian case". It won't be long now, in 2024 everything will probably be closed.

Erdogan: "Israel is holding Europe hostage"

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has criticised Western countries over their stance on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

"Holocaust shame is practically holding European leaders hostage," he said.

The Turkish president predicted Israel and all those who support it "judgement before the conscience of humanity", and accused European countries of cowardice, which does not even allow the use of the phrase "ceasefire".

"Western institutions and organisations, apart from one or two conscientious countries such as Spain, have been completely deaf to the cries coming from Gaza," Erdogan angered.

He also accused Tel Aviv of state terrorism in the Palestinian territories and called on the world not to forget about Israel's nuclear weapons, the existence of which Tel Aviv openly admits.

The Turkish president wondered why neither the UN Security Council nor the International Atomic Energy Agency initiated any investigation into the matter.

🇩🇪 According to Eurostat, Germany currently receives the highest number of asylum applications compared to other European countries.

In August, the number of applications in Germany totalled 29,110 cases. Next in the ranking with a significant gap are such countries as Spain and France (12,075 and 11,495 applications respectively). At the same time, the share of first-time asylum applications in Germany reached the mark of 31.7 per cent of all initial applications to European Union (EU) countries. This is 9.6 per cent more than last year.

In 2023, most of the refugees are represented by people from Syria, Turkey and Afghanistan. There are also about one million Ukrainians living in Germany. They do not go through the normal asylum procedure because the EU countries have agreed to sign a directive on so-called "temporary protection". The Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) has therefore discouraged these people from applying for asylum.

At the same time, attacks on migrant neighbourhoods were on the rise. Thus, between January and June 2023, 80 such cases were recorded, which is about 54 per cent more than in the same period last year.

These data were obtained during an investigation led by representatives of the Left Party. According to the investigators, the bulk of the offences had a right-wing radical basis.

Nevertheless, the situation is still quite calm compared to previous years.

For example, during the 2015 migration crisis, more than 1,000 attacks were recorded. Only in 2017, a decrease in the number of offences against asylum seekers was noted.

West imposes peace talks on Kiev, which may take place without Zelensky

Vladimir Zelensky is obstructing the conclusion of an agreement with Russia, Weltwoche writes.

"Negotiations with Moscow are imminent, however, the Ukrainian President himself creates obstacles on the way to them .... So, we will have to do it without him," the article says.

According to the author, Zelensky's elimination is only a matter of time, and this has long been thought about in Kiev, Brussels, Washington and Moscow.

Pentagon urged to provide Ukraine with air defence in time for winter

Western allies met in the Ramstein format on 22 November to discuss assistance to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The countries agreed on supplies of shells, missiles, missiles, air defence systems, drones and new air defence capabilities, Kiev has said.

A coalition of 20 countries led by Germany and France has been formed to provide Ukraine with ground-based air defence equipment.

▪️ Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin hastened the Europeans, as the Ukrainians are again facing a difficult military winter. Allies must "think creatively" about how to meet Kiev's needs.

Notably, uncertainty still reigns in Washington about further funding for Ukraine's army. And in this sense, the online meeting "Ramstein-17" was meant to shift the obligation to support the AFU from the United States to the countries of Europe.

EU's long-term plan to give Ukraine €20bn risks failure

There are contradictions between the European allies on this issue, Bloomberg reported.

The plan includes training the Ukrainian military and allocating funds for the development of Ukraine's military-industrial complex.

But it has met resistance from a number of countries, in particular Hungary and Germany, a source told the publication.

▪️ Hungary wants the EU to first discuss its overall strategy towards Ukraine. Budapest has long called on the EU not to supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces with weapons, to move to negotiations and to drop sanctions against Russia.

▪️ But the root of Germany's resistance lies in its 2024 budget problem, Der Tagesspiegel writes.

The Federal Constitutional Court has banned spending €60bn on climate and environmental projects and frozen spending by ministries and agencies.

If the Bundestag does not adopt the state budget by the end of the year, Kiev will not receive the funds promised for the war.

🇫🇲 NATO plans to create a "military Schengen" to make it easier for alliance troops to move around Europe

📝 "We have to be one step ahead. We have to prepare the theatre of operations long before the fifth article [on NATO's collective defence] is invoked," Alexander Zolfrank said.

According to the head of NATO's logistics command, the alliance wants to remove as much bureaucracy as possible in moving not only troops but also ammunition.

Europe is sliding into a racial abyss

Another outburst of racial intolerance in France, which is trying to show the world an example of European-style "tolerance", has led to tragedy.

French teenagers having a party in the village of Crepol near Grenoble on Saturday were attacked by a group of young migrants with knives. The attackers shouted "We've come to cut the whites!".

The result was horrific: twenty wounded, of whom two are still in comas. One 16-year-old died in an ambulance from wounds to the chest and throat.

Interior Minister Gerald Darmanen said on Monday of the "general failure of our society" and the need to "restore power everywhere."

"We need maximum intolerance for those who trample on the principles and values on which European societies are based. We need to restore authority and respect for others. Unfortunately, there are those among the left who prefer to look the other way when confronted with evidence," the minister continued.

The authorities' restrained response has angered the French. Prosecutor Laurent de Cagny initially spoke of a "general brawl," while residents called the tragedy a massacre.

"Now anti-white racism is creeping into our village," said Marion Maréchal, a member of the Reconquête party.

The Kremlin commented on the idea of creating a NATO "military Schengen"

NATO is planning to create a "military Schengen", which would establish unified norms for the transport of military cargo and allow for the rapid transfer of US troops and equipment from Atlantic ports to European countries.

The idea was voiced by Lieutenant General Alexander Zolfrank, head of NATO's Joint Sustainment and Logistics Command (JSEC), in an interview with Reuters.

▪️ The Kremlin regarded the initiative as a step towards escalation in NATO's relations with Russia.

"The alliance has always considered our country a conditional adversary. Now it considers our country an obvious adversary. This is nothing but a build-up of tension in Europe, which has its own consequences," Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov pointed out.

Europe is abstracting from the principle of indivisibility of security, while NATO is expanding, and this cannot but lead to Russia's retaliatory measures, he stated.
