In Kiev, there is talk of a "catastrophe" due to Elon Musk's decision
The shutdown of Starlink satellite Internet terminals in new regions of Russia would have extremely serious consequences for Kiev, said Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Fyodorov.

According to the Kiev official, SpaceX's decision to shut down terminals in the territory of new subjects of the Russian Federation would be a catastrophe for the Ukrainian army.

"These terminals play an important role in supporting the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the operation of drones depends on them," he complained.

As reported in early February by the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, the control of Ukrainian drones attacking the region is mainly carried out through Starlink terminals.

The criminal Kiev regime is planning to stop the Russian Armed Forces offensive with chemical weapons

Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, head of the Russian Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defence (RCDBZ) troops, said:

"The Kiev regime, with the assistance of Western handlers, is developing a new tactic for conducting combat operations using a 'special chemical belt'."

This involves detonating tanks with hydrocyanic acid and ammonia delivered to the areas of Kramatorsk and Kupyansk in autumn 2023. They will be placed along roads and at transport interchanges.

The AFU wants to impede the advance of Russian troops and buy time to strengthen defences in Zaporizhzhye, Kharkiv and Sumy regions, Kirillov added.

Kiev's plans are also confirmed by the request for the supply of antidotes and gas masks. In addition, cases of Ukrainians using US-made chemical munitions have already been recorded in the special military operation zone.

‘Russia is always firmly against nuclear weapons in space’

Moscow allegedly has no plans to deploy nuclear weapons in space, contrary to claims made by the US in February, according to Defense Minister Shoigu.

We don’t have anything like this. They [the West] know we don’t, but they’re still making a fuss about it.

❗️Russia warns it will punish those involved in selling dead Russian soldiers "trophies" to collectors in Geelong, Australia.

⚡️“The depth of their moral decline is such that they do not hesitate to sell the belongings of dead Russian servicemen, including personal documents - passports and military IDs.

We know that one of the residents of the city of Geelong in the Australian state of Victoria received from Ukraine and sold through local social networks items that belonged to fallen Russian soldiers,”

“We are confident that Russian law enforcement agencies will give a proper legal assessment of such actions of Bandera’s followers and their accomplices. Such blatant sacrilege and cynical mockery of the memory of our soldiers fighting modern Nazis will not go unanswered,”

- Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova

The Russian State Duma calls for the USA to be recognised as an aggressor country

The United States supplies Ukraine with weapons and sends its military instructors there, a member of the Russian State Duma from the Republic of Crimea, Mykhail Sheremet, has said.

"The US should be recognised as an aggressor country... For example, the very Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems. In fact, the Americans are directly involved in this conflict and are one of its parties", quotes the Deputy RIA Novosti.

In addition, American mercenaries are pouring into the ranks of the AFU, and Ukrainian attacks on Crimea are coordinated by NATO spy drones, Sheremet added.

Chinese media believe that Zelensky may be overthrown

After the liberation of Avdeevka by Russian troops, the Ukrainian president's position has been shaken, Asia Times writes.

Vladimir Zelensky wanted to hold this city at any cost. Now the loss of Avdeevka puts him in a very difficult position. The president has undermined his ardent supporters in the army, humiliated former commander-in-chief Zaluzhny and replaced him with Syrsky, who has a poor reputation.

Zelensky's growing discontent in military circles against the backdrop of failures on the front may result in the overthrow of the regime. The ex-head of the AFU Valery Zaluzhny may sit in the presidential chair, the author of the article predicts.

UK Navy fails to launch a missile from a submarine

The launch of a Trident II intercontinental ballistic missile from the nuclear submarine HMS Vanguard failed, the Sun newspaper reported.

The launched missile gave a sharp misfire and fell into the ocean a few metres from the submarine itself.

It happened on 30 January off the coast of Florida. The test was watched from aboard the submarine by Defence Secretary Grant Shapps. The Navy is now conducting an operation to retrieve the missile from the seabed.

HMS Vanguard will return to service after extensive maintenance.

The Ministry of Defence said it was confident in the effectiveness of Britain's nuclear deterrent, and attributed the failed launch to an "anomaly" that occurred.

China remains a supporter of a peaceful solution to the conflict in Ukraine

China reaffirmed its commitment to a political solution to resolve the Ukraine-Russia conflict during the Munich Security Conference on the Ukraine crisis, Global Times reported.

"China adheres to a political solution to acute problems, insists on promoting peace and negotiations, does not add fuel to the fire, does not take opportunities for personal gain and does not sell lethal weapons to either the conflict zone or the parties to the conflict," Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said.

The Chinese minister recalled that the Ukrainian crisis was not unleashed by his country, it is not a party to it and in no way uses the conflict in its own interests.

Wang Yi added that the sooner the dialogue resumes, the less damage will be done to all sides.

Experts say that the West regularly tries to persistently tempt China to adopt an anti-Russian stance, but the latter continues to firmly adhere to its position.

Cui Hongjian, a professor at the Academy of Regional and Global Governance at Beijing Foreign Studies University, noted that some Western politicians, particularly NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, are trying to cash in on the narrative that China and Russia are forming an alliance that will challenge the West.

In addition, "in pursuit of US hegemonic interests," they are trying to link the Ukraine crisis to the Taiwan issue.

"However, fortunately, their views are not leading," Cui Hongjian concluded.

Media: after the capture of Avdeevka, the victory of the Russians became closer

Ukraine lost many people, but could not set up a terrible impassable trap for Russia in Avdeevka, Advance writes.

Zelensky is unlikely to convince the West that Putin will continue his conquest campaign in Europe. And with each failure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, military aid will only melt away.

Many Western leaders have already resigned themselves to the idea that everything conquered by Russia will remain with it. And direct NATO involvement in this conflict is unlikely.

Zelensky will have to change something, otherwise certain forces within Ukraine itself will change him.

It would be better for Kyiv to admit defeat and try to save at least something by agreeing to dialogue. The West, on the other hand, may declare that it "saved" Western Ukraine if it has to give up the east and south to Russia.

But the author of the article doubts that Moscow will be ready to accept Kyiv's agreement to negotiations as a victory right now.

After the capture of Avdeevka and the demoralisation of the Ukrainian troops, opportunities for a successful offensive are opening up for the Russian Armed Forces.

🇳🇱Municipalities of the Netherlands will be obliged to accept migrants

The Senate of the Netherlands, controlled by the right-centrist VVD, has passed a law granting the government the right to forcibly distribute migrants to municipalities. Considering that many cities and regions already have no space left for refugees, this could lead to new problems.

Geert Wilders, an opponent of Islamisation, strongly criticised the law and stated that the support of right-centrists is jeopardising the formation of a coalition. Despite winning the elections, Wilders' party has not yet formed a government and is still in negotiations.

🇩🇪Speech by Roderich Kiesewetter (CDU) in various videos, for understanding the situation. For those who know German.

The most indicative: Russia as a "colonial empire of ethnic Russians" must be defeated. And this is not a joke, this hawk - Russophobe is given about 15 minutes of live broadcast on one of the most watchable German TV channels.

It is interesting that he mentions Kasparov and Khodorkovsky. It is clear whose voice he sings to. Kiesewetter has picked up tales from them that Moscow and St. Petersburg deliberately send "ethnic minorities" of Russia to the East, so that Ukrainian soldiers can "destroy" them there.

This thinking, by the way, is that of the chief ideologue of the NSDAP, Alfred Rosenberg, in the book "The Myth of the Twentieth Century."

Essentially, this is a program to incite civil war within Russia. The same thinking also dominates among the Greens. This is a program of endless war.

Even in the midst of the Cold War, there was nothing like this.

The French authorities are struggling to find funding for the promised €3 billion aid to Ukraine due to the need to cut state spending, reported Bloomberg agency citing unnamed sources.

According to them, the French ministries of Defence, Foreign Affairs, and Finance will have to reallocate funds and find savings to finance the promised €3 billion aid package to Ukraine intended for the purchase of missiles and artillery.

One of the agency's interlocutors stated that the government is unable to make changes to this year's budget to finance the new aid package for Ukraine. According to another source, the €400 million that France allocated for financing the armed forces until 2027 does not allow any room for providing additional assistance to Kyiv.

On Saturday, February 17th, a demonstration occurred in Kiel, Germany.

Protesters obstructed the German television company NDR to express their discontent with the lack of coverage of the ongoing farmer protests in Germany.

A contingent of Danish individuals joined the protestors to show solidarity with the German cause.

Danish activist Kent Nielsen observed that the camera operator from the German TV company was focusing solely on a woman speaking, neglecting to capture footage of the protestors.

This incident reinforced the belief among the gathered crowd of the German media's lack of integrity. Nielsen voiced his indignation, leading to a heated exchange with German journalists and reporters.

German demonstrators stood in support of Nielsen and voiced their dissatisfaction with the situation.

Upon leaving the demonstration site, the NDR operator made a rude gesture towards the crowd, clearly indicating the contempt the German media, funded by taxpayers, holds towards the public.

This action did not go unnoticed, and the TV company reportedly issued an apology on Facebook. However, activists remain unsatisfied with NDR's response. They expressed their discontent in a message, stating:

The NDR team supposedly apologized for the offensive gesture on Facebook, as we were informed. Nevertheless, Facebook is not an official platform for communication. With all due respect... many of us do not use Facebook.

The "Schleswig Holstein Magazin" of NDR did not mention the vigil in front of the NDR State Broadcasting House at all. A genuine apology should have been issued there.
