Russia has stated that sabotage of the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines took place, as a result of which three of the four "branches" of the pipeline have been damaged and will take months to repair.

According to Alexei Grivach, deputy head of the National Energy Security Fund, the sabotage could have been carried out by "opponents of Russian gas" known in Europe.

It is well known that to sabotage a deep-sea pipeline and destroy as many as three branches would require serious equipment and submersibles, which either the US or Britain might possess.

Zaporozhye appealed to the German government over pressure on referendum observer

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz should intervene in the situation of pressure put on an international observer from Germany at the referendum on joining Russia, Vladimir Rogov told RIA Novosti. Rogov is the leader of "We are Together with Russia" movement and member of the Russia-backed Zaporozhye regional administration.

"We appeal to Mr Scholz to stop the outrageous actions against German citizen Steffen Bruno Schaller. He came to us voluntarily as an observer, at his own expense and in his spare time. And now in his home country there is pressure on Mr Schaller's employer to take action against him for his decision to see how we organise the national referendum, where our citizens express their will," Rogov said.

According to him, Schaller had visited elections in various countries around the world, and the reason he has come to the Zaporozhye Region was the information he received of the "withdrawal of passports" from people who refuse to vote.

"He was able to see for himself that this is a blatant lie and a product of fierce Ukrainian propaganda," Rogov stressed.

Earlier, on Sunday 25 September, the Bild newspaper reported that
managing director of the German company Energie Waldeck-Frankenberg, Steffen Bruno Schaller, would be laid off after becoming an observer of the referendum in the Zaporozhye Region.

On Saturday, 24 September, Schaller alleged pressure on his employer and stressed that he was in Melitopol as a private person. Before that, the German observer told TASS that the residents of the Zaporozhye Region voted voluntarily, there was no pressure, contrary to Western press reports. According to him, the organizers of the referendum did the best that could be done in a limited period of time.

We were told by the Pentagon that "16" was the right number for Ukraine.

The US is now sending 18 more and I will tell you why.

Ukraine has lost the vast majority of the HIMARS they recieved. 18 are being sent instead of 16 specifically because they will disappear off the battlefield just as quickly as the first 16.

Addionally: Western media reports that it will take "a few years" for the new HIMARS to arrive.

Hungary said it would never support sanctions against Rosatom and Gazprom.

The Hungarian authorities will never compromise on the issue of imposing sanctions against Rosatom and Gazprom, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said.

In an interview with RIA Novosti, he noted that Budapest would never agree to the imposition of sanctions against any of its significant partners in the energy sector.

"We will never agree with the inclusion of Rosatom or Gazprom in the sanctions list," he said, adding that "everyone in Europe can be sure of this."

Hungary is the first country in Europe to launch a "national consultation" to seek public opinion on EU sanctions against Russia, Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said.
