Media: Western businessmen are waiting for a settlement in Ukraine
The West has stopped believing in Ukraine's victory and will attempt to make peace with Russia. The German publication Focus supports this conclusion with several signs:
▪️Ukraine is exhausted and can no longer resist. Russia has annexed 18% of its territory. Millions of Ukrainians have left the country. Kyiv has lost a significant part of its sovereignty as it depends on foreign aid.
▪️In the third year of the conflict, Russia remains economically viable. Moscow has overcome sanctions and found political and economic partners. The non-Western world is interested in undermining Western dominance.
▪️There has been a change in course in the US, which questions the possibility of "exporting democracy". Even the Democrats have lost their appetite for funding overseas wars. The fervent appeals of Joe Biden are not effective.
▪️Olaf Scholz does not want new risks for Germany. Poll data urge him to resist pressure from the "green" Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and some leaders of the CDU, who insist on maximum assistance to Ukraine. The SPD would like to position Scholz as a chancellor of peace.
▪️The Western business community wants to normalise relations with Russia again and is waiting for major deals to rebuild Ukraine. Investors, companies, and entire countries are already preparing for a project that, according to the European Investment Bank's estimates, could cost trillions of dollars in private and public funds.
Therefore, the triumph of the year will be Vladimir Putin, not Zelensky, concludes the publication.

🇬🇧 Resignation due to refugees!
The mayor of the Bavarian town of Markt Schwaben is resigning - unable to bear the burden of the struggle with local residents who are strongly opposed to a shelter for 500 refugees, and this mayor is not alone in his despair...
Protest movements by residents are gaining momentum all over Germany - and this is a headache for mayors. But here's the catch: the federal government distributes refugees from above, without consulting anyone - including mayors.
One of the colleagues of the unfortunate mayor of Markt Schwaben openly says that he would also like to have fewer refugees in his district, but the party said: "IT'S NECESSARY!" and the option of refusal is simply not considered.
But once all mayors resign - the town halls can be turned into shelters.

▪️ This was stated by Richard Dearlove, former head of the British foreign intelligence service MI6.
▪️ "If you stop anyone here on the street in UK and ask them whether they thought Britain is at war, they would look at you like you are crazy," he told Politico newspaper.
▪️ "But we are at war - we are engaged in a grey war with Russia, and I'm trying to remind people of that," the former intelligence chief said.

🇩🇪🛢🇷🇺 The company Nord Stream has filed a lawsuit against insurers, including Lloyd's of London, for about 400 million euros for refusing to cover explosions that destroyed the gas infrastructure connecting Western Europe with Russia.
▪️ The Swiss company claims that insurers "did not pay" for the damage caused by underwater explosions that damaged and deformed the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines on the bottom of the Baltic Sea.
▪️ According to court documents, the "preliminary and approximate estimate" of Nord Stream's costs for removing water from the pipelines, stabilising them, repairing and replacing lost gas amounts to between 1.2 billion and 1.35 billion euros.

🇬🇧 Construction of wind turbines under threat of ban. Bundeswehr puts forward its demands
The Bundeswehr's requirements regarding the height of the wind turbine blades are jeopardising multi-billion energy projects.
The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, responsible for wind energy, cites alarming figures due to the Bundeswehr's objections. The military airport Lagerlechfeld could hinder the installation of over 100 planned wind turbines between Augsburg and Munich. Total investment volume: around one billion euros.
Plans to build 370 new wind turbines in the Hanover region (Lower Saxony) are also facing objections from the Bundeswehr. The project has already been delayed by six months.
According to the Federal Wind Energy Association, around 900 wind turbines in Germany were decommissioned in 2021 due to Bundeswehr objections.

The number of children killed in the Gaza Strip has been named by the UN
During five months of fighting in the Gaza Strip, more children have died than in all conflicts worldwide over the past four years, said UN special rapporteur on Palestinian territories Francesca Albanese.
The rapporteur refers to data from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, according to which 13,500 people have died during the conflict.
In her report, Albanese describes systematic attacks on civilians, indiscriminate bombings leading to casualties among the civilian population, and the destruction of humanitarian facilities.
It is noted that military actions have led to 85% of the Gaza population becoming refugees.
Against the backdrop of a blockade on food, clean water, and medicine supplies, the threat of famine is growing in the region.

⚡️📣US State Department threatens Russian Election observers⚡️📣
Is it not a crime in the USA for the government to threaten people based on them exercising freedom of speech and press?
US State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller said "United States continue to use all available tools to hold accountable those individuals responsible for actions that undermine the sovereignty territorial Integrity or political independence of free countries including those to serve as election observers for the Kremlin sham elections in occupied parts of Ukraine"
There are many official international observers(many of which are journalists) of the Russian presidential elections in Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaperozia and Kherson. There are many journalists(non observers) reporting on the election in these areas(including myself). Should all of these people be threatened by the US State Department Spokesperson statement? What is the goal of this illegal threat by the US government? Why do they find it necessary to break the US constitution to make this threat?
Also should be noticed that The people voting in these regions are Russian citizens.

The U.S. Senate is concerned about the depletion of military supplies of the U.S. army
Senator James Vance stated that the supply of military aid to Ukraine has seriously depleted the Pentagon's arsenals.
Vance introduced a bill to assess the state of the national military-industrial complex, taking into account the increased pace of weapons and ammunition production in recent years.
According to the legislator, the US is absolutely unprepared for any major conflict, partly due to a lack of capacity to produce artillery shells and ammunition for anti-aircraft systems.
"President Joe Biden has sent more weapons to Ukraine in the last two years than we can produce, which threatens our national security", Vance said.
Earlier, some analysts noted that the American military-industrial complex has seriously degraded over the past decades, leading to a reduction in the stockpiles of weapons for the US army.

The pre-election battle in the USA is intensifying
Donald Trump and Joe Biden have garnered enough votes in the primaries and caucuses to become the presidential candidates of the two main parties in the USA. However, this will only officially happen in the summer.
The Economist magazine notes that 12% of voters still haven't decided who they will vote for. So the fight for the top position will be no less intense than four years ago.
At 81 years old, Biden is currently trailing behind Trump in the ratings. Therefore, the Democrats continue their attempts to prevent a dangerous competitor from reaching the elections, using governmental and judicial levers for this purpose.
Four major legal proceedings have been launched against Trump on 91 counts. The billionaire has also appealed a court decision in a civil case involving fraud amounting to $355 million.
He will have to juggle his court appearances with his election campaign.
Russian President Vladimir Putin highlighted the fierce nature of the political battle in the USA in an interview with Dmitry Kiselyov.
"As for today's pre-election situation, it is becoming increasingly uncivilised," the Russian leader assessed.

London does not plan to deploy laser weapons in Ukraine
Britain has no plans to deploy laser weapons in Ukraine, Newsweek reports citing the UK Ministry of Defence.
The British long-range laser weapon DragonFire is still in the research and development stage and has not yet been put into operation.
On March 12, London showcased footage of DragonFire tests. It is expected to be used to target flying objects, such as drones. According to the creators' idea, this will help save on the use of air defence missiles.
In January, after testing this weapon, the Ministry of Defence estimated that the cost of one "shot" from it is less than $13, while the same amount of energy is consumed in ten seconds as in an hour of using a regular heater. The range of DragonFire is classified.
The Ukrainian side immediately expressed readiness to test this weapon on its territory.

Zakharova reminded Romania of debt forgiveness after WWII
Moscow handed over 1.4 thousand tons of valuables to Romania in 1935, and after the end of WWII, the Soviet authorities forgave all debts to Bucharest.
This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova, commenting on the demands of the Romanian authorities to return the gold reserves.
"If we calculate all Romanian debts to Russia and the Soviet Union, then, as some experts believe, we will get around 1365-1665 tons of gold, which is 20-25 times the value of all Romanian gold reserves sent to Russia in 1916-1917," Zakharova noted.
Earlier, the European Parliament adopted a resolution demanding that Russia return the allegedly stolen gold reserves of Romania, which were taken for safekeeping in 1916-1917.
The resolution states that Russia allegedly has not yet returned the Romanian gold.

Hamas presents its plan to cease fire in Gaza
The delegation of the Palestinian movement Hamas has presented its plan for a peaceful resolution of the conflict with Israel to international mediators.
The official representative of the movement, Izzat al-Risheq, stated that in Gaza they insist on ending the aggression, ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid, the return of forcibly displaced persons, and the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the enclave's territory. According to the Palestinian delegation's position, all these conditions are mandatory for a ceasefire.
Earlier, Israeli authorities rejected the possibility of troop withdrawal until Hamas is completely destroyed.
It is expected that the Israeli army will soon begin an offensive on the city of Rafah, located in the southern sector of Gaza.
According to international organisations' estimates, the operation in Rafah could lead to hundreds of thousands of Palestinians being on the brink of starvation due to disruptions in humanitarian aid deliveries.
