Open Letter to Community: Addressing Concerns and Next Steps

Dear Nomizens,

From the beginning of our journey, we've been dedicated to building a project rooted in fairness, freedom and openness. We believe these principles unite people and enable everyone to contribute meaningfully. That's why we are carefully listening to the feedback from our community.

Our recent quest update and the introduction of a pay-to-win (P2W) mechanic have not been accepted quite as well as we expected. We want to openly acknowledge our failure to deliver, explain what happened and share the steps we are taking to improve the situation.

What Went Wrong

1. The P2W Mechanic
In our haste to introduce new gameplay features, we added paid progression elements that contradicted the spirit of fair play. This decision caused significant discontent and misunderstanding amongst the community members. We acknowledge this misstep and apologize to anyone who felt misled or disappointed.

2. Website Bugs
Upon launching the quest, numerous site issues emerged, preventing people from completing tasks and enjoying the experience. We recognize this is our responsibility and admit we failed to conduct sufficient testing before the release.

3. Deadline Extensions and FUD
Due to development challenges, we extended the campaign by another week. We understand that some of you perceived this as an attempt to "milk money," though we never intended to pressure anyone into spending. Our lack of clear communication only intensified the negativity.

How We’re Fixing the Situation

1. Reintroducing Fair and Free Quests
We're eliminating the pay-to-win mechanic and reinstating free tasks, such as daily check-ins and other activities, so everyone can participate without financial barriers.

2. Compensation and Appreciation
• For Our Long-Time (OG) Members: We're offering additional rewards to acknowledge your loyalty and ongoing support.
• For Those Affected by Bugs: You'll receive bonus tokens or other perks, depending on the issue's severity.
• Unused Prize Pool: A portion of unallocated funds will be distributed among active OG users who have consistently supported and engaged with the project.

3. Distribution of Special Tickets for the Next Campaign
We're rewarding our loyal supporters with "Special Tickets" for our next big initiative. These tickets offer unique benefits and early access, showing our gratitude for your continued support.

4. Fixing Website Bugs
We've expanded our QA team and implemented routine testing before each update. In the coming days, we'll release several updates to address major site issues.

5. Eliminating Cheaters
We will conduct a thorough investigation into multi-accounting and farming and will cut down the balance of anyone who is caught having more than 3 active accounts.

6. Transparent Communication
Open AMA Sessions: We'll host regular live sessions to answer your questions directly.

AMA will take place on Tue, Apr 8th at 13 UTC. An official announcement will follow in the upcoming days.

Roadmap: Next week, we'll publish an updated development plan detailing upcoming improvements and their expected timelines.

Dear Nomizens, we’ve been really quiet lately, but we had a reason for that.

After Season 1 ended (Feb 7 – Apr 9), we launched a full system audit and discovered deeper issues than expected:
1. There were thousands of multi-accounts.
2. Hundreds of people exploited spins and daily check-ins.
3. Bugs in wallet merges and OG quests made overcomplicated calculations.
4. Unfair point inflation in some flows.

Rather than patch things quickly and risk backlash later, we went heads-down and rebuilt the system: logic, UX, AI and validation to ensure long-term trust and scalability. That work is now complete.

Here’s what’s finalized at the moment:
— multi-wallets merged into single capped Meta IDs
— fake referrals and spin/check-in exploiters removed
— unclaimed NPoints, spins & rewards compensated
— OG list locked; missed OG perks are to be claimable
— OG quest points + BERA Chain quests compensated

Launch Update

Due to unexpected technical issues outside of our control, we're taking a 6-hour extension to publish the results. This wasn't part of the plan, and we're genuinely sorry for the short notice.

The launch is still happening today, just slightly later.

The results are out by 9PM UTC today, May 14th, 2025.

Launch Update: Current State

We hear the criticism. We’ve seen the memes. And honestly, most of them deserved.

The delays aren’t because the Nomisma protocol is broken. It’s not the mainnet. Not the smart contracts. Not the token.
It’s one thing: the current web system: the site, the quest logic and the analytics layer, which wasn’t built to scale with the complexity we reached.

The underlying tech of Nomisma is solid and already onboarding real teams building on it.

But this website + reward calculation system? It was never meant to be long-term. We pushed it beyond its limit to deliver Season 1, and we’ve outgrown it. Hence, the constant delays.

We’re not hiding that. In fact, we’re replacing it.

A new internal team is already rebuilding the core infrastructure: with better devs, better architecture and the lessons of every painful delay baked in.

We won’t defend the delays. But we will defend the mission. And you’ll see that in what comes next.

Next update drops in 8–12 hours—with full clarity on launch time.

Technical fixes are still underway, but we’re not waiting silently.

We’ll share key updates before the full site goes live this Friday (yes, this is a confirmed deadline from our tech team!)

Meanwhile, the tech issue is being solved, we will reveal what we have in store for you.

First of all, the Prize Pool has grown significantly since launch:

We started with $50K → then increased to $80K → and now we are distributing $100K

The rewards are distributed as follows:
- $75K among 1,500 top NP gainers
(we've increased the number of winners from 1000 to 1500!)
- $20K among OGs
- $5K in USDC among top Chromia stakers

And, that’s not all, of course! During the next few hours, we will announce, explain and showcase more of the results of Season 1.

🏆 NPoints are users’ season score

Every season, users earn NPoints that reflect their activity and engagement across quests. Every quest, spin and referral adds to the NPoints balance. Think of them as XP: the higher the total, the higher you rank on the season board.

💵 NUSD is users’ additional reward

NUSD represents the bonus prize drop allocated from that season’s prize pool based on the leaderboard activity. Season 1 has $100K allocated in total. The next seasons will have a separate pool.

NUSD is a guaranteed representation of USD value Nomisma tokens.

🏅 Season End Badge
At the end of each season, total NPoints, NUSD, NFTs and other achievements are recorded into Season End Badge, a soul-bound NFT. It is easy to claim and cannot be traded.

NPoints shows in-season performance, NUSD reflects the monetary reward users have earned. Both are embedded into the same badge.

What Happens at TGE?

When users connect their wallets and verify their Season NFTs, the system will automatically recalculate the total NPoints accumulated across seasons.

You’re granted a share of the 10% Nomisma token pool reserved for the public airdrop, based on your NPoints (5% of the drop total share) and NUSD (5% of the total drop share).

TL;DR: NPoints measure effort, NUSD measures payout, the badge locks both in.
