i really gotta give a shit ton of credit to service industry which i currently work in, because without it i wouldn’t learn how to appear more hospitable aka smiling more, talking louder, making eye contact, etc…
i still can’t fake it tho. when i see a shitty customer, i’m not going to treat them any better, but a year and a half ago people told me that i’m terrible at service. and now most of our regulars come to my shifts :)

every time i’m struggling with a “negative” emotion or a hard time i always say: “it doesn’t matter, i’ll persevere anyway. it’s not like i’m going anywhere in the long run”.
