since this sparked great controversy, let me explain myself:

this post was posted because it showed what you CAN say to people who say "not all men". the person in this video illustrates that the men who hurt women are a minority, BUT the actions of that minority affect the whole group. and with the violence so widespread among CIS men (because i posted this thinking about cis men primarily), it is, i think, the duty of other men to hold them accountable and maybe stop that shit from happening INSTEAD of saying "not all men". you might be an ally, but are you willing to prevent harrassment? just because you're the only good guy and youre saying "not all men", doesn't mean its ok to say. as much as it is not ok to say "all men". i am against generalizations. but this video is about debunking that generalization precisely.
