کرسی تدریس نظریه قیمت در دانشگاه شیکاگو، میراث چه کسانی است؟
روش‌شناسی و وجوه تمایز تئوری قیمت مکتب شیکاگو با مکاتب رقیب چیست؟

▪️از زمانی که دانشجوی اقتصاد شده‌ام هر روزه در محافل اقتصادی عبارت مکتب شیکاگو را می‌شنیدم اما نمی‌دانستم که زیربنای آن چیست.
اساس مکتب شیکاگو نه نظریه پولی، بلکه نظریه قیمت است. نظریه قیمت پلی است که شاکله علم اقتصاد را از «فضای انتزاعی» دور و به «میدان تحلیل فرایندهای اجتماعی و سیاسی در قالب اقتصاد» وارد کرده‌است. به علاوه، این نظریه نقش مهمی را در تربیت اقتصاددانان پیرو مکتب شیکاگو ایفا کرد. به طوری که عمده پیروان این مکتب، نقطه عطف علاقمندی به آن را گذراندن درس تئوری‌ قیمت‌ها دانستند.

But incomes from business ownership and investment are taxed at lower rates than employment income. With a reformed tax base, there would be a strong case to align tax rates across different sources of income.
