Nym Token Buyback
Nym is conducting a $1m buyback of NYM tokens to bootstrap the Nym treasury ahead of the launch of NymVPN.
App Store Releases
NymVPN was released in Google Play and Apple Store ahead of showcasing the app at DevCon and Web Summit.
Preparing Network Update
The latest Magura release was prepared. This includes breaking changes for Nym operators. With Magura, project “smoosh” is completed and all nodes are capable of operating as both mix nodes and gateways. As of Nov. 19, rewards will be split equally across all 3 layers. This is the foundation for the NYM tokenomic “flywheel effect” to begin with the launch of NymVPN payments in December.
Preparing NymVPN Stable Release
All dev efforts are on the coming stable release of NymVPN v.2024.11 at the end of November. The release will include a streamlined sign-up/sign-in flow, network stabilization with state machine integration, the launch of zk-nym credentials, and more.
Nym at DevCon & Web Summit
The Nym team presented 9 talks/panels at DevCon & Web Summit to show off NymVPN to thousands of enthusiastic people in Bangkok and Lisbon.

The latest stable version of NymVPN v2024.11 is now released for MacOS, Linux, and iOS, with Android to be available early next week.
This app release follows last week’s major Magura network update and improves app performance, security, and connectivity. This is a big technical boost ahead of the launch of zk-nyms & beta payments in December 2024 and the full commercial launch of NymVPN in January 2025.

NymVPN Amnesia fork - test real world censorship resistance!
Nym R&D team have implemented a fork of the NymVPN apps with Amnezia enabled. Amnezia is to wireguard what shadowsocks is to socks5. It makes it far harder to detect and censor NymVPN traffic and improves censorship resistance for users!
The fork is now available here for people to try!
