New Governance Proposal: NIP-7 – Nym Exit Policy Update
Hey Nym operator community,
We have an important governance proposal open for feedback on the forum, and your input matters!
NIP-7 proposes opening new ports as part of the Nym exit policy so that Steam, Discord voice chat, and SSH/certificate services can run smoothly and securely through NymVPN.
Proposed ports
• Steam: 3478, 4379 to 4380
• Discord voice: 50000 to 65535
• SSH / Certificate: 2222, 223
Feedback will be accepted until the end of today, 23.01.2026. Voting on Nym Governator will open afterward and remain open for 5 days, until 28.01.2026.
If approved, these changes will make NymVPN more user-friendly while keeping privacy and security at the core of the network.
