A: The motives and aims can be different. Some think that every price drop will be followed by a positive retraction. Some believe these projects will be revived.
But in my opinion, these people did not invest big money, because otherwise this would imply not some hopes/beliefs but having inside information.
Basically, people want to multiply their investment. If the fallen projects get revived and develop in a sustainable way, the investors will be rewarded for their hope.

❕A: The original philosophy of DeFi was true to its name, but the market regulations are stepping up. Very often great things are used for bad purposes, and crypto isn’t any different. This is why in order to eliminate the usage of crypto in grey areas, decentralization had to be limited.
The question is not whether there will be restrictions but how much of the world they will cover. DeFi may as well become just a different financial tool (not the tool of financial freedom).
