Temperature makes a big difference.
40° is best because water is at its densest.
Any colder or warmer and it starts to expand, and it's elastic, so it's pulsating, expanding and contracting inside you as soon as you drink it.

That's partly why sucking ice helps when you're sick and precisely why the bion packs need to be frozen between boiling.

A neighbor tried the bion pack recipe in The Orgone Accumulator Handbook, plain beach sand in a sock, but erroneously microwaved it, which is shaken, not stirred: microwaves vibrate but rapid [turbulent] boiling pulsates.

Also, I save used herbal tea bags to make mine because the tea is more elastic, absorbent, pulsates more and in harmony with the water's pulsation,

and more importantly,
the tea is more porous, has greater surface area and disintegration rate.

The disintegration is part of the self-organization process.

If you look under the microscope after boiling, everything should be dead but it's teeming with life, a rich microbiome self-organizing around the periphery of the disintegrating particles.

It's the life that radiates the orgone energy and the pulsation which stimulates the life.

I told you that wearing the bion packs is like wearing a hug.
Be careful: I told you it's like a puppy born anew everytime you boil it; you can get attached.

If they get dry (I sundry them for long-term storage.), they have to be reboiled and frozen multiple times to regain potency — best to freeze them while they're still saturated.

They used to be a lot cheaper, maybe $10-$20 for the largest of them, when herbal tea was $3-$4 (now $6-$8) but you can absolutely use cheap green tea or even sandbox sand from the hardware store in an emergency where you want bunches of them.

Wilhelm Reich invented them specifically for radiation sickness but don't forget you're supposed to understand some of this stuff from mixing paint and cement and epoxy etc

That's why I use herbal tea and not sand.

The book says you can boil them again a little longer to recharge them after they cool, before putting them away in the freezer when they're spent,

but I prefer to recharge them by laying freshly boiled bion packs on top of the old ones, and I still try to get them back in the freezer within 12-16 hours at most, though I've certainly gone 24-36 hours without the worst results.

They're usually only good 6-8 hours at most without recharge, sometimes less depending on weather and electromagnetic climate.
