For Hezbollah and Hamas, US Democrats and Republicans are two sides of the same coin as they have both provided unlimited support to Israel, and sought to create a “New Middle East”.

Following the victory of Donald Trump in the US presidential election, Lebanese resistance group Hezbollah, and the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas outlined in a televised address and a statement respectively, that they were not counting on the outcome of the elections to bring an end to the Israeli aggression on Gaza and Lebanon.

This November, Niger is opening its doors to voices from across Africa and beyond, in a show of solidarity with the people of the Sahel, as they face one of the region’s most dynamic periods.

From November 19 to 21, Niger’s capital, Niamey, will host the “Conference in Solidarity with the Peoples of the Sahel,” a three-day event dedicated to addressing the urgent struggles and aspirations of the Sahelian people. Set in the Mahatma Gandhi International Conference Center, the conference will bring together activists, political leaders, union representatives, and members of social movements and Pan-African communities from around the world.

Māori activists began a national mobilization on November 10 to oppose proposed legislation threatening Māori Treaty rights.

The mobilization takes the form of a hīkoi, a protest tactic used to build many of the largest movements in New Zealand’s history, and through which some of the most significant Māori political developments have been achieved.

🇵🇸Pro-Palestine activists organized a mass protest outside Israeli owned arms manufacturer Rafael in Newcastle where sophisticated weapons and military equipment are being manufactured and sent to Israel to be used in the genocide of Palestinian people. Organizations such as the Palestine Solidarity Campaign and others have demanded that the Rafael factory be shut down immediately.

In his home in Canada, Bethune provided free healthcare for the poor during the onset of the Great Depression, learning from the example of the Soviet Union. After joining the Communist Party of Canada, he volunteered to join the fight against fascism in the Spanish Civil War. Shortly thereafter, he joined a medical brigade to support the Chinese people's struggle against fascism and imperialism in the Second Sino-Japanese War, supporting the Communist Party of China.

Approximately 100,000 people took to the streets of Valencia on November 9, demanding that the regional government take responsibility for the catastrophic floods that devastated the region at the end of last month.

Protesters called for the resignation of regional president Carlos Mazón, a conservative leader blamed for underestimating the storm’s severity. The floods resulted in at least 220 deaths, with dozens still missing.

🇨🇺 Today, we say farewell and Hasta La Victoria Siempre! to Dr. Jorge “Popi” Gonzalez Perez, who passed away on November 12 at age 72.

Known as Popi for Cubans, González was an outstanding scientist and forensic expert. He was well known for his work as head of the medical brigade in charge of identifying the remains of Comandante Che Guevara in Bolivia.

More recently, he led the efforts to recover the remains of those who died during the fire at the Matanzas supertanker station.

An eminent Cuban physician and key leader in the world-renowned Cuban healthcare system has passed into immortality.
