🇪🇺Make Europe Great Again?

Far-right European leaders gathered in Madrid this past weekend to fondly remember the crusades, declare war on environmental defenders, and blame "Islam" and migrants for the economic crisis facing Europe.

The leaders praised Trump for inaugurating a new period in history and energizing the far-right movement across the world.

The Labour Party has been hemorrhaging both popularity and members since coming into power in 2024, with disturbing results: for the first time ever, the far-right Reform UK recently polled neck and neck with the two largest parties in Britain. The information caused concern among Labour ranks but led to no significant changes. In fact, Labour leadership appears to be making the same mistake as other center-left parties in Europe—adopting right-wing rhetoric and policies in the hope of outdoing the original.

#PeoplesHistory | Today, we remember and honor Marshall "Eddie" Conway, a member of the Black Panther Party and revolutionary activist for the liberation of Black people in the United States.

Conway dedicated his life to the Black liberation struggle and the fight against racism and inequality. He spent 44 years behind bars as a political prisoner. Conway was an integral part of the Baltimore chapter of the Black Panther Party. After his release in 2014, Eddie continued the struggle, taking up journalism with The Real News Network. Even as his health declined, a product of the 4 decades he spent in prison, Eddie never abandoned the struggle. He lived his life for the people.
¡Hasta siempre!

Youth members of the far-right Brothers of Italy forced their way into Bologna’s city hall while others claimed Italian ownership over Slovenian and Croatian territories.
The group’s actions and statements align completely with the ruling far-right party’s discourse on post-war events, which seeks to equate the crimes of fascist forces with actions of the anti-fascist resistance.

#PeoplesHistory | Today, we remember Black revolutionary leader and founding member of the Black Panther Party, Huey P. Newton.

Newton was instrumental in laying the ideological and organizational foundation for the BPP, such as the 10 Point Program, and is renowned for his role in helping develop the community-focused survival programs, such as the Free Breakfast for Children program.

Newton’s writings and work, such as his 1973 autobiography "Revolutionary Suicide", have left a permanent mark on the Black Liberation movement and the socialist movement broadly.

Newton, like many others in the Black liberation movement, was a target of the FBI’s COINTELPRO, which sought to sow division between revolutionary leaders and organizations. Newton was assassinated on August 22, 1989.
