Every single leaflet by ANCLA stated "Reproduce this information, circulate it by any means at your disposal: by hand, by machine, my mimeograph, orally. ... Millions want to be informed. Terror is based on lack of communication. Break the isolation."
Walsh was ambushed in the center of Buenos Aires by military officers of ESMA (Mecanic School of the Navy which was a torture center in the dictatorship) who shot him dead. Just moments earlier, Walsh had published his Open Letter from a Writer to the Military Junta (Carta Abierta de un Escritor a la Junta Militar).
