#PeoplesHistory | 🇻🇳 50 years since Vietnam’s victory against imperialism.

After 30 years of resistance, Saigon’s liberation on April 30, 1975 ended a war claiming millions of lives. From Hồ Chí Minh’s defiance to guerrilla resilience, the Vietnamese people and their resistance prevailed - proving no amount of money or bombs from the world's most powerful empire can crush an organized people’s will for freedom.

🚩May 1 is International Workers’ Day - a day rooted in the international struggle for dignity, fairness, and the rights of working people.

From the sacrifices of the Haymarket martyrs in 1886 to the tireless efforts of unions and activists today, May Day is a reminder that rights and progress are forged through collective action. It is a day to honor those who fought and those who lost their lives for the 8-hour workday, workplace safety laws, and protections.

Today, that same capitalist system is in crisis, and workers across the world are fighting to defend the conquests won over a century ago as they face rising inequality, stagnant wages, and the erosion of labor rights.

“Workers of the world, you have nothing to lose but your chains!”
