In just over 3 months, 3,472 Venezuelans were deported as a result of Trump’s policies. In total, more than 139,000 people have been deported from the United States.

In addition to the deportees who returned to Venezuela, another group of 252 Venezuelans were arrested and sent to the maximum security prison in El Salvador, the Terrorism Confinement Center (CECOT). They are accused of being part of the criminal group Tren de Aragua. The US government, however, has not presented any evidence to support this.

As Israel’s latest siege of Gaza stretches into its third month, tens of thousands of children are starving, health and nutrition groups working in the region have warned.

Children, alongside the elderly and pregnant women, are bearing the brunt of Israeli attacks. At the beginning of April, weeks into Israel’s latest blockade, health and nutrition experts already warned of a new wave of deterioration in child health, wiping out progress made during the brief pause in attacks. By the time Israel collapsed the temporary ceasefire in mid-March, families were already forced to ration food again. Since then, the risk of outbreaks has grown, and the psychological toll on children, already severe, has been deepening, with expected long-term consequences.

#PeoplesHistory | 🚩Karl Marx was born on this day in 1818 (May 5, 1818). Marx was a revolutionary German philosopher, economist, journalist, and organizer whose incisive critique of capitalism forever transformed the struggle for a better world.

📚⚒️ Marx’s groundbreaking theories: historical dialectical materialism, class struggle, and surplus value, unveiled the exploitative engine driving capitalist societies. Through works like Das Kapital and The Communist Manifesto, he, along with his close collaborator Friedrich Engels, dissected how capitalism alienates labor, concentrates wealth, and perpetuates inequality, urging humanity to envision a world beyond profit.

🌍✊🏽 By exposing the contradictions of bourgeois society and championing the revolutionary potential of the working class, Marx’s legacy endures as a beacon. His timeless call, “Workers of the world, unite!” remains a rallying cry for collective liberation, reminding us that another world is not only possible - it is necessary.
